Wales…Wales…bloody great fishes called Wales…they live in the sea, eat fishermen for tea..bloody great fishes called Wales.

Wales have the best back row and back units in the comp, however they will struggle in the tight against everyone bar Italy. I haven’t seen our team for Saturday, is Hines fit again?

Only problem would be that most of us would just want paid in script, thus leading to starvation and having to sell the kids! Sorry love, no food this month, but I did get a gorgeous Foes frame and an xt groupset instead…Hang on, with the shimano price rises, maybe just the groupset.

I only used wheels as he is the first large scale shifter of stuff that came to mind.Mind, pypdjl DOES make a good point. Does the op grudge spending money on a licence, despite the fact he was obviously flush enough to pay cash for a new telly (hence the needing to ask his name) AND he moves about a lot…has a mistrust of anybody coming to his door…Can they not hear you moving around inside the caravan?

For the last ten years I’ve successfully avoided buying anything from Wheelsonfire. I move around a lot, and Im naturally suspicious of unannounced callers to my back door(nobody needs to fund their bike fetish THAT way). Recently though I slipped up – while buying a pile of second hand inner tubes I gave my name, when asked as you do. Foolishly I gave my real name. Lo and behold a few days later I received an email from him informing me they’d received details from a forum user that I had purchased inners.

That’s the last correspondence I recieved from him (he still sends really old fox forks to the two previous occupants of my house) but……twice now I’ve heard suspicious knocking at my door in the evening in the last month or so. Roughly around the same time. I haven’t seen the person as I wont go to the door as Im afraid I’ll get served with some sort of parcel.

My question is this – what powers do these people have and how do they go about gathering info? Could they for example get info from the website as to who my car is registered to or the like? I dont really know much about them but Im not keen to fork out £500 to Peter for something I won’t use.

I think you should learn to drive rudeboy, after all that white van is just cluttering up your drive.

Bigdummy, how many criticalmass demos take place during school run time? If you have children and both you and your partner work, then you may have to leave them with a childminder,my sister found herself in this situation during one of the Edinburgh ones about 18 months ago, stuck in a car with a 2 and 6 year old.Still as long as you can all stick it to the man, eh? Go on rudeboy, wave your willy about the miles you do each day as a real cyclist.

Following crusty Morons? Thankfully, critical mass numbers are down. And it is nice that you reinforce my and I am sure, a lot of fellow bigots opinions in comparing your protests(sic)to the campaign for the vote.Where are you and your crusty mates when I am commuting to work on a freezing Feb morning? Oh and forum members…that would be cyclists then? Explain why stopping parents getting their kids home on a Friday teatime does anything to advance the cause of cycling.

A pain, but one the banks are increasingly faced with, so you should get sorted quickly.Where did they get your details? It’s just because all the paper bins in our street got nicked just after xmas… Oh and household shredders don’t work.

I teach History at Carnoustie High up here in benighted Angus! We are in a brand new building, I get to cycle (most) of the way home along the coast, and I get paid to teach a subject which is also one of my hobbies,oh and take my silver Duke of Embra’ group out on bikes…which is nice.

I did it. I served my apprenticeship with my Dad’s business on the understanding that if I did he would pay for my education. I did my degree and then just kept on plastering.About 6 years ago when my first child arrived I decided I wanted to stop travelling.I did my pgce and love teaching. It is NOT for everybody and the money isn’t as good as I used to make. However it is very rewarding, the banter is usually good and the holidays are A1. Another point is that I am credit crunch safe. With regards to you choice of course, Physics, Chemistry and Maths..where would Sir LIKE to work?

I am a plasterer to trade, you need to watch out for hidden damage to the boards, if nails start to pop then the boards are warping as they dry. If you have old lath and plaster ceilings then ANY cracks that suddenly appear ned checking, does the ceiling move? If it does, then the lath has warped because of water.Old plaster and lath is heavy, if it comes down of it’s own accord anybody/thing underneath is in for a sore one. Oh, and replace all the fittings water ran into.

Heihei; that was really helpful, thanks. Biffer that wasn’t! How can I have an old one knowing that there was a new 5.5lb version out? Mind you, being stuck on a horst spot with push rockers/shock ISN’T that much of a hardship really.

Doh! All this talk of steel hardtails is making me go all dewy-eyed for my 456/Soul. Never mind them, when is Cy going to build a “proper” road frame? Ed authority is coming into Cyclescheme and I would love to be having to make the decision between those new frames Brant has, and a similar option from Cy.

You could buy the frame and bits from here. I built up a xt/Revelations/juicy 7/crossride build from here for well under a grand. Not as nice as having a new one, but a lot cheaper. They are brilliant, in fact I preferred my Soul to my Soda. Don’t discount the 456 either just because the metal isn’t 853, a bit heavier, but still really comfy.

I test drove one and eventually bought the 407 estate, I can fit the bike in it without taking wheels off, it is also comfier over long distances as the seats are great. 60mpg at motorway speed as well!

Those positions of responsibility, what,3 Deputes and one Head Teacher per school? Seems fair to me in a school that openly claims to be a faith school. Taking into account your views, would you really want one of those posts anyway Mark?
As for the symbolic burning of materials, which religion does on a regular basis. This thread was started about Christians, a few of us have dipped in, does anything posted suggest that we spend our time burning rock cd’s or blowing up the abortion clinic?

[The reason religious people provoke unease amongst normal humans is that we can’t predict what course they will take next.]Thats funny, I was going to do a bit of marking, teach last period, then get the train home(too frosty for bike just now)I would suggest in the 20 plus years I have been a Christian,I have generally behaved in a pretty normal fashion. So what is your solution Carrot? Pehaps ban anybody who has ANY profession of belief from positions of responsibility? Come to think of it, burning a bible just to display your rejection of the Christian faith is not exactly what I would call rational behaviour.

Mark,I was basing my post on the factthat up my way the Catholic schools (no CofS)have feeder primarys, they take placing requests from Catholics outside their catchment, but in the main they take what they are given without choosing.Still the best inner-city school I taught in.

Catholic schools were first set up by the Catholic Church to educate the children of the Irish Immigrants to Scotland and the North of England after the spud famine. The Irish tended to gravitate towards Church as a familiar point in difficult times, hence the setting up of Catholic schools.
If you were not Catholic, why would you send your kids to a school where even the majority of staff are Catholic? Or perhaps the imposition of Christian morality leads to better standards?
How many of you taking a pop at religion wouldtry to send your kids to the Local Catholic school if the alternative was cartheft comp?

Personally, I couldn’t think of anything worse than to be on a ride with a group of Christians set on converting everyone they meet. Why the bile? I have found it harder to live without my belief in God than with, my choice surely. Which this thread is increasingly getting away from, you DON’T have to go out with that Evangelical cycling group. You don’t have to believe in God. It’s called free will

Mine too, but none of mine says King! Still, can’t buy your health, and you obviously are colourblind if you thought those green hubs/hopes were a good idea, drop your bike in Spring and it would take you an hour to find it :D mind, were you not shifting a pink set recently?

I wish somebody could show me how to make a profit with bike bits! I was a bit of a swapper, spending the last 3 years I have been a member changing my bike every 3 months just to try something new. I seem to follow the buy at 10% less than the sellers asking/sell for 33% less than paid 3 months later philosophy! I have seen the odd person from here buy from me and sell on at a profit, but it is kind of my own fault. So…anybody want to swap a new shape enduro for my horst 5 spot? (damn, how did that slip out?)
