Mines been in the post for waaaaaayyyyyy too long, I thought it might have been delivered by this weekend but I am losing faith, I reckon its in england today but doesnt show up on any of the track and trace sites,, maybe postierich can answer this one, will it show on track and trace when it gets to this country or not? I just selected the standard DX postal option. I was thinking about this with regards to the DX bike light… I was thinking that the 18650's in the supplied battery pack could be poo and may not have decent capacity, I thought about pulling the pack apart, replacing the supplied ones with some 3000mha's, and resealing the pack. Any thoughts on this?

I reckon it would have been a lot worse if you weren't so well padded, so your weight might have saved your life this time.

Guisborough is the other side of Teesside, right on the edge of the north yorkshire moors, right next to Roseberry Topping if you know where that is.

Guisborough Woods was in one of the mags (I think MBR) last month. Its a decent place to ride, steep ups & downs, lots of variety, some good single track through the woods but it would be difficult to find, its hard even in daylight!! Theres also marske woods, and a few other locations all very close together.

Carlton in clevelend and osmotherly are very close to Yarm, they both have a decent bit of riding as well.

I dont know where you are but give westbrook cycles in Middlesbrough a ring, they usually match or beat any deal and have 2010 Scott's in store now.

I bet they are getting tighter rather than weaker, do more stretching. I have always had tight ham's and have decided recently that I am going to fix it with loads of stretching, after 4 weeks of it my legs and lower back seem much more flexible except for on a morning when all of me creaks like an old man!!

I usually carry a mini maglite anyway, just incase…. I might just add a few extra zip ties and duracells to my kit and that might save the day if (…when…) it becomes necesary….

Have a look at the boardman mountain bikes, they're superb value for money but come from halfrauds so are (often, but not always) built by YTS numpties (is there such a thing as a YTS now?).

I find the JVC gummy earphones OK and they're so cheap when they break you dont care! The quality is probably average but who cares when yuor listening to crap ripped MP3's with the wind russing through your lugs drowning out half the sound anyway!

The rotor lockring has (or should have) a very thin silver washer, this crappy little thing is so critical its unbelievable. i tried to tighten a set of centrelock rotors with no washer and they would not go, they always ended up with a bit of play in them, and I've had similar problems with lockrings that have been removed many times. You could try a new lockring and tightening it to the required torque.

postierich – I have the same issue, purchased some kit last thursday, site crashed at checkout, money taken from paypal account, received paypal email but no email or order number from DX.

I immediately logged a ticket in their system but have still had no reply and the ticket status is still "not assigned". Maybe they'll just sent it, maybe I'll have to go through PayPal to resove the issue, who knows….. I know the little chinese dudes are probably flat out tight now and I should have ordered the bloody light a month ago!!! Oh well, you live and learn.

I had a cro-mega with elevated chainstays, looking back at it now it weighed a ton but it couldnt half bloody climb!!!! I reckon one of those would be a superb retro project.

You cant do anything about the attitude of the people you work with, all you can try and do is chanel your thoughts somewhere else, just think that at the end of each day your going home to a hardcode ride or something else you enjoy. Taking your stress out on the bike, you'll either become a fitter/faster/better rider or die trying! either way your work wont be bothering you anymore!

It was about 7:30 this morning, I got to the payment page, selected PayPal, it took me into the PayPal login screen, I logged in, made payment, it exited PayPal and just when dead there.

I have emailed them through the form you mention but had no reply yet, admittedly it is the middle of the night over there so I'll see if I have had a reply to my ticket tomorrow morning,, I'll post here and let you know.
