I have a rig and a cobia, both medium but ride completely differently,

it’s all about the contact points as above i reckon.

get up early – same time each day regardless of when and how much you sleep.

there is a nice back lane from Dinas Mawddwy to Aberangell – The Howies Dyfi Enduro route and the Dyfi Forest is just North of Aberangell including the legendary World Cup Downhill route.

This back lane goes all the Way to Machynlleth and Ceinws and the ClimachX route.

Did the dyfi winter warmer around the climachx trail last week.

Ice has melted – a bit muddy in places but riding well.

Seems to be milder in the west – for a change.

The cross country stuff is still soggy and icy at the tops

I can’t work it out – 5 litres of Super Expensive car oil is about £8-9 a litre .

I tried to work this out after the Dyfi Enduro. This was about 45k with a lot (hell of a lot) of climbing. I figured that it was about a half marathon.

If you have endomondo on a smartphone it does in theory calculate the calories burned – a good a measure as any I guess.

My hunch would be 1 mile run = 5 mile mountain bike ride

Bobike is good – but you need a bike with a long top tube to avoid your knees banging – or ride like John Wayne.

would second spiral – series 1 and 2 especially good

led lenser is good for me – the battery holder at the back gives a better balance imo.

the lead flashings have been installed but no soakers to make sure that any rain driving between the flashings and the tiles does not penetrate.
