Thanks chaps, I’ll see how I feel in the morning. I really don’t want to end up under a lorry!

Don’t have a car unfortunately, start work at 7, so train would mean leaving the flat at 5.30 – the bike takes 20-30 mins, although I would like to arrive in one piece. Maybe mtb then.

Have you checked that it’s not the seatpost/frame?

Have had one on the back for a few months, I’d defo recommend. Very grippy indeed, fairly fast rolling. Is a little narrow but to be honest it doesn’t really bother me.

Stash it somewhere? I once hid a bike bag in a salt-bin just outside Stornoway airport. It was June mind, so probably wasn’t going to get used. Would have caused a major problem if it wasn’t there when I returned, though.

I rode in this morning – almost lost it on one of those squigly lines of tar that get put between cracks in the asphalt, front and rear wheels were all over the place at about 15mph with traffic zooming past me – definitely a heart in mouth moment, took me a while to get over that.

jeez – noted. I have left my bike outside in the past while filling my face in the cafe, straight into the boot next time.

Surrounded by zulus – nice name by the way(fowsands of ’em).

Get a life, dude. There is more important things to discuss, like what tire for this, what singlespeed ratio for that, ect.

Theoretically, if I have the EBB on my Swift rotated all the way to the rear, this should shorten the chainstay length by maybe 10mm or so and steepen the seat tube angle. Just a thought!

Drac – God no, that really would be the end for me.

RCP90 was my weapon of choice, also 4 player with proximity mines.

    I’d say it’d be a fit/geometry issue.

In my experience front hub has been perfect, rear didn’t last long though, had to replace bearings after a couple of months of xc.

Had drops for a while but couldn’t get on with them off road, so switched to risers.
