I got one from crc a month ago paid about £85. Ive only used it a few 5imes so far so cant really comment on how well it will last etc but im really pleased with it so far. Tyres were easy to put on, bearings nice and smooth, free hub sounds nice and the logos are stickers. Good value for money

Because of all the water, which is there all year even in summer, in winter it is very icy.

I went on Merlin this morning to order the £150 reverbs i noticed they had put the price up (before they announced the double discount)and was really fed up so ended up going to wiggle and paying £170 for the 125mm version, its a shame they lost a sale as i always used Merlin

Its a good question. i think get an average person who doesnt run or bike and get them to bike 10 miles, then record how long it takes. Then get person to run 10 miles see how long that takes.
Example bike ride= 60 minutes
run = 180 minutes

Answer would be running is 3x harder than cycling

Also do experiment on road with similar weather

I live in scotland now but did live in leicester for quite a while. best places i found to ride are swithland woods,bradgate park, western park, martinshaw woods , and thringstone woods.

I always manage to contaminate mine before they wear out, would love to see how long they could last

Last year i bought a santa cruz heckler frame 2011 from here for £500 ,, and swapped all the parts from my boardman pro ht, really love the bike i have created and its just so much fun to ride, now i just keep adding differnt parts depending on how my riding progresses
