Tldr. What about one of those high frequency devices that only dogs can hear?

Brilliant bikes though BB requires maintenance. It is fairly easy to service once you know how. I’m now interested in the upgrade RNP mentioned. It’s my go to bike now.

Had this problem as well. It seemed to want my outlook.com password. Dreadful process, why on earth would it do this!

The problem you have is Open reach try to use existing ducts/tunnels/sewers to run the cables. Once the diggers come out its legal issues, contractors, road closures etc. The costs mounts up. At the end of the day they are a private business so for the UK to be leading the broadband revolution it requires Government takeover and your tax pounds being spent on digging up roads instead of hospitals!

Hows your mobile signal? You could connection share a decent data connection if your only getting 0.5Mbps.

I had a Q7. Front wheels always wore on the inside first. Seemingly a common problem. I used to get a 4 wheel drive wheel alignment whenever I bought new tyres. Seemed to even out the wear. Though I still needed to replace all the tyres every 12/18 months. The alignment was only £45 from Kwik for. If I didn’t get it down the front tyres insides could wear down to illegal within 6-9 months!

Righog is you want time of day or compass just enable extra screens and change fields to show TOD (time of day) or connect IQ app for compass (download one or use inbuilt) or other downloaded apps.

I did DAS last year, but it doesnt teach you real life things. Honestly how to corner is a major thing but it’s skimmed over, the emphasis being on observation. I learned more about riding (and the numerous ways to screw up) from watching twist of the wrist on YouTube. I bought an MT-09. 847cc of mentalness in low and mid range. Got through the early few thousand km before I ‘started’ to understand how to ride. tbh I wouldn’t change the bike I got. It’s midweight, fast but now I feel its taught me my limits and is bringing me on. Need to be carful on the first few weeks though.

Moore’s law is over. It’s all small increments until the next big breakthrough molecular science. Barter them down to a grand and you’ve won a watch.

Parallels worked for me with a win10 VM. My mac is 2015 MacBook Pro i5 with 8gb. No performance issues. Have you tried formatting as FAT? Would be interested to hear results.

I’ve a similar issue and it seems that mac can’t write windows ntfs file system format and vice versa. You could format the drive to FAT but I’ve heard it’s horrendously slow. What about running Windows as a virtual machine in mac using parallels? You can share folders that way.

Rob, horrible position to be in. Personally i would be contacting a lawyer for my own peace of mind. I would also contact HR to get a redundancy calculation and find out why it hasn’t been paid. They sound inept enough for you to get the payment and yet still stay employed 😉

Watch Wimbledon, You should be able to make our faces in the crowd and see the shape of the ball, not just a yellow blur. Also the sound will be more immersive.

Going in a trio. Beers the night before and night after. It’s just fun weekend away on a great course with good people. There’s no pressure.

Don’t treat it as the well paying hated job vs the lower paid (maybe) happyier job. You’re clearly job hunting, so hang in there until the right job comes up. Don’t settle for second best!

my two cents. Electric beats manual x 1000. Use either floss or intra oral brushes for in-between. Also use mouthwash to kill bacteria. Current favourite toothpaste is colgate whitening. Regular maintenance FTW

Depends what you want, I rode up side of Loch Lomond this morning and had to slow down (on the empty road) to take in how beautiful it was, no rush. Way home, traffic was 8 mile queue so ‘made progress’ by riding 8 miles on other carriageway and cutting in occasionally. Ride how you want / conditions dictate. Motorbikes are awesome!

Withdraw the cash over a month. Pay into you r account and then pay it off. Keep it below £2k transactions.

Well done Sir, the wife and I are planning on something a bit closer to home though. So far our kids (teen age) are supportive of a holiday home (worryingly). We’ve had our fill of travelling !!

I pay that much, AFTER I phoned up and ranted for 2 hours. Ended up with a 30% discount for 10 months if I resigned for 12. I was regularly £120!!!!!!

    I now think I’ve got a good deal 😕

if you don’t play the game, expect to lose. IT is still learning its trade so to speak. Compared to Accountancy, Engineering etc.

    Yes, I’m in IT.

Sorry mate, but part of being in IT is constant improvement and keeping up with the rapid changes. If you’ve failed to do that then you end up out a job!

In saying that your skills are transferable, teaching and testing are two good areas to look at.

All the best but your going to struggle now with a 8 month hole in your CV.

If McGregors going to do it, it will be in the first, possibly the second. Any longer then its Anjos. My moneys on McGregor because he looks for the knockout and is willing to take a (hopefully glancing) hit to get it. Bigger doesn’t always mean they’re going to win, have you seen McGregor move?

i would have hoped STW had enough of reach that if someone confirmed their bike had been stolen in the past few weeks there is now a potential location that people could keep an eye on. Yes maybe I should have engaged him in chat then made a more informed decision on what I did next based on what he said.

I’m regretting not doing that hence the post on here because it’s gnawing away at me.

To be clear he wheeled the bike into the station, I didn’t see him take it from anywhere.

No gifts thankfully; we did book an overnight away in Glasgow, despite living just outside of Glasgow, coupled with dining in one of our favourite restaurants. That was last weekend, Valentine’s weekend we watched my sisters 4 year old so she and her husband could get a night out.

For me, tipping is a result of building a rapport with someone you’ve spent an ‘intimate’ period of time with or they’ve provided a service that save you hassle. This means it’s heavily biased towards the jobs where you spend an exclusive period of time in that persons vicinity or someone has done a specific task to save you ‘hassle’. This means that hairdressers, restaurant serving staff, taxi drivers and delivery staff are all ‘tip worthy’ . It’s a way to show your gratitude to someone.

Anyone you trust enough to have steel at your throat is worth tipping. End of.

Burrell Collection at Pollok Park is ok, as is GOMA in the city centre. Plenty of shopping options as well for the SO. I was a bit disappointed with the TM. Best would be Kelvingrove Art Gallery in the West End, plus plenty of boutique shopping and restaurants there.

As above, don’t go, lives too short. If the OH insists then ‘show face’ and bugger off early to the McDude party.
