In my experience there is something about shimano finned pads in either compound that just works better in Shimano brakes than any of these cheapo own label things. They cost a lot more but I think it’s worth it as they wear a lot better (longer lastng) and perform better

Insurance replacement for a stolen v10 that i absolutely loved riding. The Demo rode like a sofa and the forks meant it had a mahoosive turning circle – was so happy when it sold

I don’t care either way about dogs but i wouldn’t own one, wouldnt want one in the house and think people who take them to busy trail centres are imbeciles.

Anyone who thinks its OK to own a dangerous dog is not wired up right in the head though.

my reverb stealth did that 10mm sag thing – sent it back under warranty and got a brand new one in the box within a week! air seal gone apparently, caused by storing in the down position

I have been to Montgenevre-it’s quite good, but even better is Sauze D’Oulx down the road-which is brilliant and italy always has better weather than france

I have a nomad it doesn’t have a C or a CC on the number-if I sold it it would make proving that it’s not the cheaper version a bit tricky!

Cant answer your question but I had one stolen in France (along with my 100% goggles – gutted) and it was the best helmet I ever had. Replaced with a D2 and its crap in comparison

yeah i know that but, does it say on it what it is? I have the proper one but if i was to sell it how would a buyer know it wasn’t the paupers one?

    droppinneutron

I don’t think SC need to ‘respond’ to cheaper bikes like the capra – they sell everything they make regardless of the relatively steep prices.

How can you tell the difference between the cheap nomad frame and the proper one?

Agree on the Butcher they are great tyres-I had a purgatory in the back but it’s the only tyre I have ever removed and binned before it was worn-worst tyre I have used. I hve a spesh slaughter now it’s good in the dry, average in the wet

Just remember that it’s a helmet sitting atop your head and that everyone can see it-I tried one on and they do look a bit ridiculous hence the low price.

Still, if they work that’s all that matters.

I really want to replace my giro xar as the cradle thingy at the back has gone funny but I ant decide what to go for

I just don’t see the appeal of these grips and this, (and the fact that they look tatty and raggedy-ass after a couple rides) completely puts me off

Are the benefits worth it cos im in the market for new grips

looks like its been lent against something and slipped a bit – hardly matters really though

I’m not sure Chamonix would be much fun for very long on a DH bike but for trail riding it’s awesome.

+1 for Les Deux Alpes though

I have had a couple do this – both rear ones – it signalled the end of the lever for both of them in my case

I went yesterday – maybe 2 trees down on the trails that you have to step over. Maybe a couple more you have to ride round and its very boggy in parts and icy on the rest. Im not going again until the summer

I used the tar remover thing because I had ridden the bike a couple of times but if its fresh out the box it should be OK
