I’ve got one. Size large in black. It’s better for me than my last bike (Hightower LT the last shape) as it’s a better fit and suspension works better but it is very heavy and not as easy to hop etc… if I was buying again I’d probably look at the latest Hightower as the Megatower is a lot of bike for riding around Matlock and stuff which is my normal riding.
All the positive comments about the Frame finish quality and backup from jungle are true as they are for every SC product. I consider it more a 29er nomad than a 29er bronson though

Careful with AKG: I had a pair that caught fire while charging (using their charging cable and plugged into a USB plug) they were replaced painlessly but I didn’t get recompensed for a burned cabinet in the hallway!! The flame was very blue too, and Bastard hot! Good job I caught it in time. The replacement pair lasted a couple months and then died (wouldn’t charge) I then went to some Monster, which I really liked and then they wouldn’t accept a charge anymore. Then I tried Sony but i didn’t like the sound quality. Then some Marshall but they didn’t like getting sweaty at the gym and wouldn’t dry out.
Then, against my own judgement, I got talked into a pair of Beats wireless and, in all honesty, they are the best I have had: battery lasts 2 weeks of regular use, loud enough, small profile and a good sound output. I know the reviews are shonky and for the money (£220 but you can get em cheaper) they are pricey but if I was buying again I’d buy these.

I use them daily for music at the gym, films while travelling and phone calls. It’s only the image that puts me off (cue music snobs slagging then off too)

Got a steam tap – love it and would always have one if I could.

People always come round and say ‘isn’t that dangerous?’ Then after a super quick cup of tea is produced they realise how great they are.

New Thule Proride (which now comes in black as well) look brilliant. I have the last versions and they are also great – had two bikes on the roof with these to the alps and back many times – no issues and spare parts readily available if you do. Looking through the glass roof on my new car, the front wheels do move a bit when travelling at speed but it doesn’t cause problems. On the new Prorides the retention strap for the front wheel is a bit different and looks like it would be more stable.

I also have a thule euroclassic for the towbar as i prefer 2 on the roof, 2 on the back. on my last car (Superb estate) i only used the towbar mount when there were more than 2 of us, but on my new car (Kodiaq – much taller) i go for the towbar when there are 1 or 2 of us.

I had two Skoda Superb estates and with the seats down they could both take a road bike with the wheels still on but not any of my bikes that were fun to ride – always had to take the wheel or wheels off the mountain bikes. Just got a Skoda Kodiaq though and this is the first car I have had that with all the seats folded will take my size Large and quite long Slayer, and with plenty of room to spare:

I know – its not an estate but my bit on the Superb sort of made it relevant!

Brighter the better for me, but, I’m not into colour matching components.

I find Black bikes so boring

I took it off and used a bit of that weird Sugru stuff to blank off the top of it (being careful to avoid the mechanism) – has survived for over a year without coming off unlike tape

Lovely watch OP – I keep hanging my nose over a Planet Ocean Seamaster and I am sure I will have one one day soon. These borelords who keep wittering on about casio’s (which are nice watches, for cheap) just don’t get it – they are probably just filling in time between this and bemoaning christmas on the other thread – tight f*****s.

I broke my right one 4 weeks ago in Chatel after breaking the left one 5 years ago in Spain (Switchbacks DH). No op either time just the weird figure 8 strap thing. Left one is now fine. Right one is a significant lump but its getting lower and lower and I think will end up similar to the other. been doing one handed spin classes since 2 days after the crash and running after 1 week. I think I will be back riding in 3-4 more weeks once my new bike is built up!

I’m on my second Superb, both were the Greenline elegance edition and both from new – current one is 2 years old. I have also had an Audi A4 S Line and 2 BMW’s before: 320d estate and a 325 coupe a while ago. Guy at work has a 5 series basic saloon and i wouldn’t swap my Superb for that, as its poorly equipped and pretty small by comparison, but i would swap it for a better model because its nice to drive. I find the Superb better in every way than the Audi and BMW equivalent, except – they both looked better I have to admit. I really like the Superb’s I have had and the only reason i won’t have another is i just fancy a change. IN fact, I might chance one of those Kodiaqs next year

I just leave mine on the wheel and use a hand scrubbing brush i got from tesco for about £1 – bit of soapy water and then push against the freehub and roll it back, repeat until its clean. You wont get deep inside it without taking it off but this cleans the bits the chain touches and leaves it looking gleaming without using fancy chemicals

the main problem for me with the XT’s was the crappy mirror silver caps on the levers which could leak oil when bleeding. The latest M8000(?) XT’s have addressed this and are more like the Saints. They are £75 an end without rotors

I really feel for anyone in this situation but its what happens when people get suckered in by these cheapo prices. First they fall to bits and then the manufacturer doesn’t care

I don’t know how to post pics or do quotes but my mate got a full warranty swap offer off Evan no problem. However he didnt want another Norco so he had something different and a bit less of an effeminate build to it- Santa Cruz I believe
