Those TLD’s look very nice but only 32″ leg and a 6.5″ ankle cuff means theyre a drain pipe straight into boots. Thanks anyway

I have a couple of 1d bodies and a bag full of quality lenses which i enjoy using. I also have a 20d which is now donkey years old, however the sensor is real quality and gives a lovely creamy image especially for portraits. So look at older bodies as well as new ones. Also the 50mm is over rated ( in my very humble opinion), 35mm is much more of a challenge and produces fabulous results when you get it right.

The Vitus Escarpe 275  frame is on offer at crc. Full carbon frame I built one up a year ago with 170mm Lyriks and it weighs in at about 30 lbs. It’s turned out to be much more capable than I thought it would.

Ok, not qualified, but surely the discharge of potentially boiling water needs to be controlled? Ie thru tundish and waste pipe. ??

Best thing Ive seen about this is the little clip holding the brake hose and speed sensor attached to the pivot bolt. Where can I get them ???

We particularly enjoyed Dances with wolves, underdog was fantastic if you like steep. Oh and repeat offerder and helter skelter went down really well in the Durty Tap room.

Have you considered a Specialized with the Brose motor, transferable warranty and very good dealer network.

Yeah sorry i was rambling a bit there. Point i was trying to make is that power and reliability are a little bit irrelevant if your battery isnt big enough to use it as it can be.

Heres our experience, we both ride identical bikes, shimano equipped with high spec finishing kit. Batteries are 630. Deb rides hers all day in trail and boost whereas in order to make my battery last I’m in super eco. The difference is I weigh 92kg and shes 55kg. Makes a huge difference to the performance.

Thanks for all the replies some fab info there. The weather is starting to make this feel more like a punishment than a holiday so we may run away and return in October.

What other trails do you enjoy at Golfie and I can probably give some pointers as to what to try for trip one..

We like all of Golfie…..although Wolfinator in the wet was….interesting and probably only 75 % rideable for me.

Thanks for the replies. We’ve ridden at most places in the valley, but not Yair. Favourite for me is Underdog, maybe just looking for something thats not quite so we’ll ridden. Dunkeld sounds right, any stand out trails to look for.

So… I’ve driven 400miles to ride Golfie which I haven’t been able to do for 3 years due to a serious accident and then a rather unfortunate illness, its currently pissing down and I’m wishing I was back on Exmoor whether the sun is shining. How ungrateful am I ?? Got to say we’ve had some smazing days. Underdog is the best.

Stay in Porlock at Sparkhayes campsite, loads of riding, big loops or enduro style winch and plummet. Message me and if I’m around I’ll happy show you the less ridden stuff.
