Like you and for the first time for years I’ve recently had this problem with a Hans Dampf ST and a Big Betty SG, one on a Hunt rim and one on a Superstar rim. I eventually inflated them by using a ratchet strap to hold in place with the core fitted.

My one

I use an ex army pack, was cheap and is indestructible. Not the most comfortable pack though.

I’ve been so tempted by that cube, one problem is the headset. Not sure if it’s a deal breaker or not.

Hold fire on pruning the dead out. Acers seem to turn off the branches that have leaves that are too shaded to function correctly, however it seems that when you prune a dead branch out another one will die. Its almost as if the tree is reabsorbing the nutrients in the limb. It looks like quite a shady spot for an acer.

Swallows and house Martins are back in Somerset also heard the first cuckoo on exmoor on Sunday.

I’ve seen lots of weeds growing in the epoxy grouts. I’ve also seen lots of mortar joints that have failed and fallen out. Personally I prefer to grout with mortar, but you have to ensure there are no voids left underneath, also there’s a minimum width of about 10mm.
