I’ve got one, only problem is that it’s too bright for group rides unless you want to sit on the back.

But at a more sensible distance it’s so stupidly bright that it dazzles the motons

Exposure Redeye here. Ridiculously bright, but needs something up front to plug it into.

Another Redeye fan here. Only downside that I’ve found is that if I’m in a group I have to ride at the back or turn it off. Don’t think that it’s so stupidly bright to dazzle drivers at a sensible distance though

    Global “Slag off fatbikes day”

Wait a minute that’s every other day of the year isn’t it? ;D

    wahoo fitness.

Unless I’m missing something that just shows your heartrate and cadence, speed etc. if you have the sensors.

I’m new to this but I’d expect a bit more like something telling you your heartrate is too high or low for the target zone.

Does wahoo do this and I’ve missed it?

    On the other hand…

Mine lasted under 2 months. Feel was always a little ‘agricultural’ but it did the job until a wet and muddy ride when it failed completely and unpredictably: wouldn’t drop or when it did wouldn’t come up. A week later went to sort it and found it was seized solid.

Save up a bit and get something a little better

    1800 lumens? That’s taking a knife to a gunfight.

Escalation isn’t it. Won’t end well, I predict total thermonuclear destruction…..

Just count yourself lucky you didn’t say “the sag needs sorting out on that”

Can you not use TRVs on all the radiators? Then you can simply control teh temperature in ‘your’ part of teh property?

Plenty of space for a Nate or Floater on a Rolling Darryl

Thanks – actually looks very similar to the Polar one.

Assuming that it’s the same as the Puffin it’ll come with both.

They are a neat solution I think, far better than clips or cable ties.

We’ve had our fog for nearly a year now, my first, wife had one as a kid. Much the same criteria as the OP’s, a pet for my son and had to be non shedding as my wife is asthmatic. We also got a Cockerpoo.

You do have to put a lot of effort in both in training and socialisation when young and ongoing with walks even when it’s topping down but it’s definitely worth it.

More than the guy behind you!

Although if the rider behind you is faster than you and has a brighter light you’ll end up going faster than you dreamed possible on the downhill sections

Had a T-Mars that rusted solid after a few rides :( but that converted me to the concept and replaced it with a RSP which is a lot better, smoother action, better remote etc.

Yacf.co.uk is pretty good but more about touring or audacious than racing. Lot of very knowledgeable people for technical matters

Only heard about it on Thursday, As I’m just up the road I’d have done it with a bit more warning

Don’t want to be blunt but yes!

And take a shorter shower. Cut it to 5 minutes and that’s 15 minutes more sleep

Might do some of this on Sunday. Not being from round those parts, what’re the ground conditions like ( was there lots of rain today?)

Dry round Wantage too, just a few muddy patches

I’ve had 2.3s onbut that was running single speed. Plenty of frame clearance though!

Be quick. I believe Sam might be phasing them out (hopes to be proven wrong).

Much as I’d love to sadly it looks like you’re right :( From the Singular website:

Unfortunately the Peregrine production is currently on hold. With the development of the disc Kite I’m afraid I can’t really justify having three steel, drop bar, disc brake, 700c frames in my small line up. I hope the day will come when it is possible to reintroduce the model to my range but I can’t say when that will be. I do currently still have a couple of S size frames in stock

Hopefully on hold means just that, be a shame to see them stop being made.

    Another Lumenator fan here.

Whatever you get make sure that it’s brighter than your mates. Otherwise if you’re riding ahead of him you’ll be riding in your own shadow.

Although that did help me get a PB on one of our local sections the other night

I’ve seen loads of people riding SS bikes… I’ve yet to come across a Fat Bike in the ‘wild’…

Whereas I’ve seen more fatties in the wild than singlespeed mtbs :?

    Fat Biker and singlespeeder

    180/160 BB7s on mine.

I find the huge amount of grip and increased rolling resistance (Nates front and back) to not require much actual braking!

    Same here!

Would you not recommend a cx bike then? I was thinking of having a go at the single.

Haven’t done the full route but a lot of the Ridgeway West of Streatley is very rutted so I’d want at least a mtb sized tyre and preferably some suspension. Think you’d be very beaten up on a cx

Likewise, hope I didn’t delay you too much!

As you’re selling 3 bikes it’s only reasonable that you buy at least 2 bikes to replace them else you’d be n-2.

I’d go for a fatbike, more smiles per mile!

    Gwaaan Pedalhead!!

Saw him at the top of Smith’s Hill at about 1815, stopped for a brief chat, he was going well
