I moved up country from the South East.

Still visit folks and family down there.

No matter how many times they ask me……I’m never moving back.

You are mad! Sorry, somebody had to say it.

Make sure that you still have sufficient thread remaining before you cut…..measure twice, cut once and all that guff.,

not only the axle overall length, but thread length as well.

He can’t be ‘independent’ if he wants you to transfer your fund to his company to manage.

I sympathise. Went through similar carp a year ago. What a complete minefield.

How many of these IFA’s knew less about the financial market?

Another example of the ‘government’ of any colour having high ambitions to open up the market, but just not understanding the unintended consequences of light touch regulation.

As somebody else pointed out ‘attracts the vultures’.

There is a thread on the TNR over on LFGSS in Rides and Races.

I shouldn’t get too hung up about interference.

Each will have its own channel and code.

Or do you  really have an interference issue?

I have one of these. Had it 14 months. Been around the country with it. Very satisfied. Basically a 12″ tablet. Portable. Light. Removable keyboard. Short travel keys. Battery life about 7 hours, just under their claimed 8 hours (must turn wi-fi and bluetooth off). Includes a smart pen for drawing. One of the best features for me, use it for noting photographs in my line of work. £449.99

Designers also need to specify an ‘auto-on’ for lights when in fog/poor visibility.

Terrible weather in this neck of the woods yesterday, no lights, sidelights, 40 t truck with sidelights so, so small. hardly visible.

    grrr.

Unfortunately MIB (motor insurance bureau) database is now available for all other insurers to view. No hiding now.

The insurance companies always take the view, even if its a ‘no fault’ accident, you will always be likely to have another. (Its their pricing logic).

Commuting to work is not business.  That’s social, domestic, pleasure, going to work.

Business is if you are travelling in conjunction with your work (not job), unless he is self employed.

    Avamys.  (or Fluticasone Furoate)

Tried loads in the past. This is the only one that seems to work for me.

    On prescription though.

    Gasket manufacturing.

Used, obviously in motor industry, motorcycle industry (there is quite a large sector in making parts for classic and vintage vehicle servicing and restoration.

In the oil/gas/hydraulic sectors (thinking pipe joints, flange face joint gaskets)

Cutting out shapes in sheet rubber, or foam.

I subscribe £12 per year to a motorcycle forum (BMW).

Now that is a lively place.

No swear filter and lots of banter.

Sections for touring, technical, for sale, and The Pub amongst others.

Yes it has frequent posters and lurkers. I’m probably in the middle.

Easy to post, quote, link and upload pictures.

Nearly a picture to every post!

    Don’t forget axle stands.

Essential for SAFETY if you are getting underneath the car with 1 or 2 wheels off to change brake or suspension parts.

We run an ‘old’ Scenic, W reg year 2000. with 75k on the clock> 45k miles are ours as the 2nd owner.

Its old but not a banger, passes MOT every time. Any service parts are cheap, and easy DIY maintenance.

Get 4 bikes in the back standing upright with front wheels off only.

Why would I need to ever buy another run around? Perfectly good for another few years yet.

Too many cars are scrapped for all the wrong reasons.

As others have said, give it a good run, get the engine hot, then straight into MOT station.

Hey, let us know how you get on.

Just bought a bamboo cup from ‘Home Bargains’, Ora Kiely print…..£1.99.

It has a cardboardy feel, but OK.

SWMBO has nabbed it within minutes.

Will have to pop in there tomorrow, and get another one. Only a few remaining though.

Do the 6 bolt rotors still sit in the same centreline position between the pads or is some spacing to offset L or R required.

I currently have a 140mm disc fitted, so I expect that diameter will have to be maintained.

I can’t see Planet X listing any rims at all at the moment (or is it me again?!)

I looked at Merlin Cycles. A new shop (to me).

They didn’t have listed, not that I could see, centrelock, 12mm thru axle, 100 front, 142 rear, 11 speed.

I had similar problems with the heater / blower / resistor pack on a Renault Scenic.

All the faults pointed to this as the problem. Replaced and you have guessed it…..still the same problem.

All the experts on the Renault forums were stumped for an answer.

I finally tracked it down to an earth fault. One of the earths (there were many earth points), the self tapper was loose and not allowing good connection. This earth point was under the carpet under the drivers right foot. So depending if the foot ‘knocked’ the connection then all was good, until it then arced again, carboned up and connection was lost.

You could call that ‘intermittent’. Drove me nuts for months.

Moral of the story….Check your earth for the blower, after all a Nissan is a Renault is it not?

Going to get worse in Norfolk.

‘At 10 weeks old after having an operation ( pyloric stenosis)..my parents were told that I would probably have died within 3 days if they hadn’t operated when they did .’

Dejavu with that one. Also, still see the scar, also 61 (this year).

At 48, diagnosed with bowel cancer. (Went to Doctor with back ache, pulled a muscle jet washing drive, patio etc. She was actually more interested why I was on iron tablets. Previous visit to another Doctor a few months earlier when I was feeling ‘a bit off colour’. He put me on those. She knew that wasn’t right)

Full works, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery. 18 months off work. Now fitter than before.

    2 bullets dodged!

I’ll swear the roads are worse this winter than last winter.

Used the A120 on Tuesday, thats a 70mph dual carriageway, the pot holes were huge, many could not be avoided due to the heavy traffic all around, and due to the spray making for poor visibility speeds were down to <60 anyway.

Why doesn’t the water drain off properly anymore? Lots of places where the road was flooded and IMO dangerous.

Incoming cable is 4mm, 3 core, SWA.  (Cable already in use with existing 2 fuse distribution box) From consumer unit in house. Already in position, and has been in use.

Incoming breaker is 100A DP. Breaker in garage consumer unit

RCB is 63A DP. RCB in garage consumer unit

    Then feeding 3 x 6A and 2 x 16A MCB’s, only MCB’s in garage consumer unit

Question is, what size cable tails from incomer to RCB? Tails from 100A MCB to 63A RCB. Next to each other in garage consumer unit. Length 100mm max.

    4mm or 6mm.

    I think 4mm.

Have got Hager MCB’s, Consumer unit box will be Pro-Elec, empty. I will populate with the MCB’s that I have here.

    Reminds me.

Got to weld a crack in the cat. on my daughters P 107.

Passed the MOT last week mind you.

Tester just advised that there was a ‘minor’ exhaust gas leak. Said would probably have to fail it next year though.

Hope my welding is as good as that.
