I have the NEX6 and love it… Great little camera. I’ve only got the stock 16-50 sony lens but got a minolta adaptor so bought some cheap old minolta primes (20-35-50-58 and even found a fish eye cheap)

Easy enough to manually focus with the focus peaking effect.

Please don’t ring 111/NHS dire and expect to get a sensible answer, certainly if you mention breathing problems then be expecting Drac to turn up on your drive with his blue light taxi.

Go see your GP for a sensible answer.

Aye, try booting into safe mode and trying some of the fixes above…..

    No, because it’s bollocks.

    Anyway:

Grade 2 ACJ injury, should heal on it’s own without the necessity for surgery. Very common injury (as we can see from above). Basically you just need to be careful initially to allow the torn ligaments to heal back together again, and then slowly and gradually build up the strenght in your shoulder again, to get it all working tickety boo. You will end up with a bit of a lump, but then so have loads of other folks and it shouldn’t cause you any bother, just looks a bit odd.

As above, a decent sports specific physio will be your friend/enemy to get this all sorted properly. Someone up there ^^^ made a good shout about finding out who physios for your local rugby team. Most professional rugby players do this on one or both sides during their career so their physios will be top drawer at fixing it. Where are you based?

    What did you punch?

Strap little finger to the one next to it for support (not across the joints), mince about for 4-6 weeks, sorted.

I would suggest it’s unlikely to be a panic attack if you woke up with it… Most panic attacks have a trigger. (unless you were having a nightmare I suppose….).

    Usual internet diagnostic limitations apply.

I was going to suggest botox too (what with having a botox and dermal fillers clinic as a sideline).

The papers on it look pretty good, and I’m trying to find someone to teach me the protocol so I can offer it in my clinic if she want’s to be a guinea pig! 😉

Your haematocrit is on any standard full blood count, just not usually the most useful piece of information on there so regularly gets ignored… For what it’s worth mine is usually 0.49 – 0.51, with a haemaglobin of 17. something, so I’d always be in trouble with the authorities… (all natural, honest your honour).

Pointless having it on a meditag thing anyway to be honest. If you come to see me in an emergency your getting O -ve (or maybe O +ve if I’m in that sort of mood). If you need it for an op, your getting a crossmatch before you go in.

We don’t and can’t rely on a tag dangling around someone’s neck.

If it’s just coz you’re interested, you’re probably going to have to pay. Your GP may not have this info on his system as you generally only get crossmatched/transfusions at hospital (meaning the results are on their system) and is of no relevance to your GP.

It’ll not be plantar fascitis if it goes up the back of the calf…. Could well be achilles tendonitis. 4 weeks to settle is a touch optimistic.

You can cut a standard to a nano count zero….. you just have to be careful. I use standard size data sims in my iPad and trim them down with a sim cutter I bought from amazon for a couple of quid.

Sorry about that…. Popped out for longer than I anticipated, then forgot what I was doing…

Buy an unlocked dongle from amazon/ebay/similar, then you can use any old sim cards you like.
The cheapest way I have found to do it in this country is to by the 3Mobile sim cards preloaded with 3gb/3months of access. These just stop working when either you have used all the data or you reach three months. You can then just buy top up data/pay as you go or similar… Howevere, the cheapest thing to do is just to chuck it away and put a new one in with another 3gb/3 months worth of data preloaded. They currently cost £21 from 3 or £11-odd from Amazon. Buy them from amazon and it works out at £3-4 (per month/per Gb). I just buy 2-3 at a time, keep one in my iPad (which doesn’t need a dongle) and keep a spare tucked behind the cards in my wallet. If the one in my iPad runs out I just chuck it away and put the next one in.

Slightly more faff but much cheaper.

just about to pop out, but there’s a cheaper way to do it… I’ll post it when I get back

I suspect the dental service is so poor on the NHS because successive governments treated the dentists like shit until eventually they had enough and all resigned and went private. These private individuals only want to do profitable stuff at hours they choose. No-one likes emergencies as there’s no money in it and it’s inconvenient.

So, when the press and the government are continually beating down on how shit your GP; A&E dept; waiting times and paramedics are, and trying to sell off the profitable bits to their mates, think very carefully about whether this is a good idea or not…….

I use iZettle, which has been fairly faultless so far. (it failed to connect to the ipad once. turning everything off and on again fixed it)

(Also, let me know if you are going to go iZettle as if I recommend you, we both get some free transactions, or you get a reduced card reader, or something like that)

Painful lumps are usually less worrisome.
Please don’t come to A&E, we can’t organise outpatient scans so we’ll just punt you back to your GP anyway.
How old are you OP, older = better.

also, cancerous lumps don’t double in size overnight.

We’ve done the same a couple of times (well, without picking up a boat in Swansea on the way back( and parked at Wembley station. Couple of quid a day in the secure long stay behind the station.

This thread has made me genuinely laugh out loud, and made me realise that I’m not the only one with a crazy other half.

Her current fave is to clearly start thinking of a conversation in her own head and then blurt out something from halfway through that conversation and expect me to have some sort of idea as to what the **** she is going on about…
