In the past I’ve contacted SKS direct via the website for spares. They’ve always been really helpful and replaced parts for free if they’ve broken unexpectedly.

Today’s ride was a road ride to Abington via Moffat, the Devil’s Beeeftub was particularly cold and foggy but the soup and sandwich in Moffat made for it.

You’re not alone….I get tooth pain after commuting when it’s cold i.e. anywhere less than 3-4 degrees, it can last most of the day sometimes and appears to vary depending on temperature. I now use a buff in winter to breath through and that has sorted the problem.

I have a C'Dale Synapse and cannot fault it. The caad9 is just as good if not better.

Yes, first time for me, so Hardknott and the rest will be a new experience. There are 5 of us from my work taking part. should be fun. 😯

The Orange site specifies Tora 302 U-turn which as Jimbo says adjusts from 85-130mm, similar to Recons on my bike, very handy. 😀

I recently bought some sidi mega dominators. I found the sidi 46 mega slightly shorter but wider than the BG Expert 45. Sidi Megas have the same size insole as normal sidis – the mega bit seems to be the volume of upper, so I guess a Sidi 48 mega would be similar in length to a BG 46 but a bit wider.

I agree, a top day out. A long climb through the forest, lots of singletrack across the moor and then the brilliant descent into Peebles. Must do it again soon. Losing your bearings is all part of the fun.
It was quite a shock seeing so many people at GT after only seeing 3 people on the rest of the route. 😀

You mention you’ve tried candle wax etc. , I use a drop of washing up liquid on the lens, polish this off so the lens is clear again, seems to work well.

I’d be interested in spin round the Etape Caledonia route too, I’ll keep a look out for a posting.
