    Yeh, see here Tga
    * 32T oval ring will suit best someone who uses 30 or 32T chainring currently. While pedaling, you will feel quite similar effort to the one riding round 31T ring (as the smallest diameter of the oval is 30T), but you will gain the speed similar to riding 33/34T chainring.
I thought I might be over geared with a 32t but it’s fine for me, just like the way it works. A long grassy climb that I normally spin up in quite a low gear I find it easier a couple of gears higher than normal.

Love mine, swopped to summer tyres at the weekend. Wheels are Sram Rail 50’s which previously needed a compressor. No gauge, pump it to 150 ish bit of latex brushed around the tyre bead/rim to help them slip on and let her rip. Adjust the pressure to suit and Bob’s yer uncle.

Plus one for the Evoc. Love mine, very easy to use. Bought second hand so took some of the sting out of buying.

Got a 2014 Spicy Team, junked the troublesome Ei for a CCDB inline. Love it, and more adjustability than an adjustable thing. Don’t need to use the climb switch much if at all, it just works. Which is more than can be said for the Ei.

Agree with Mike, Evoc and remove rotors and rear mech. Still use a little pipe lagging as well, for peace and mind.

When it’s on the gloss looks fine, not tried the matt one on my Pikes but is fantastic on my Spicy Team. Pretty easy to fit Tbf, use a spray with a little soapy water to avoid bubbles and ease the fit, seem to remember there are instructions with the kit. It is a bit expensive compared to helitape but you can’t cut helitape with the same nice radius corners. You get what you pay for, it’s a quality item.

I have the Invisiframe kit on my Pikes,it’s as good as the frame kit’s which I also have.Mine are black and it’s a semi matt finish but use the gloss Invisiframe kit. Been on for 18 months with no lifting or dirt ingress that you get with helitape. Depends how fussy you are. Used to use helitape before you could get bespoke kits.

Had a creak on the bike and assumed it was the BB, Lbs whipped it out. Bearings all fine, cleaned and coppersliped the shell. Still got the creak. DT78 did you buy a bearing puller too? That’s what my Lbs used to remove the bearings. Think I’m gonna have to invest in the tools.

Edit: Winstanleys out of stock :|

They now feel like they did when new, pretty good Tbf. Been back to Fishers twice under warranty and never felt right. Told TF the symptoms and they said there were a couple of things they could try. Still fancy the full Fast jobbie thou. Check with em, they might have a date now.

Good result. Check for the Fast upgrade before you send them in, got my Pikes serviced last week and wanted the full fast internals but they are out of stock and were unable to give an idea of when they might arrive. Did a good job on my Pikes which had maybe 8mm of freeplay and the normal topout clunk, seem fine now.

See if they are still available, and replace if they are. I kept five spare when I did my kitchen. Tiles v copper bottom pan = tiles lost.

Have a 2014 Spicy Team, had no end of problems with the EI. The head unit was the source of most of it. Had five of em under warranty and a front wiring harness. Eventually got the 2015 head unit, complete with a full wiring harness which was better. In some circumstances it’s very good, for me the problem area was climbing rocky/tech stuff when you sometimes need the shock to be be more active but it’s in locked mode, you can switch to manual but I found it a faff. Now run a Db Inline  and saved half a kilo.

The lens I use the most is persimmon, makes even a grey day seem sunny. They cope pretty well in bright sunlight and are very good in low light wooded areas. Have some ice iridium (blue) for use in sunny climes and some clear for night riding.

Cheers ivnickkate, seen all that. Will give the post a Bump when the course maps are released on the 24th. Was thinking of going up on Friday the 29th for practice and a look at the Expo village. Where do I find you for maps?

Sounds like it’s a setup thing. Have Xx1 on my bike and it rubs slightly on the next sprocket if the cable tension is not perfect. You do know the the low screw setting is not set up in the middle of the lower jockey wheel I presume?

Edit: B screw gap sounds too big, seem to remember mine is around 13 mm. Think the range is 12 to 15mm. Or see here

Got three pair’s of Five Ten’s. A pair of Freeride’s that i use every day as trainers, a pair of VXi elements with the part smooth sole, good but slippy in Calderdale mud and a pair of VXi Impacts with the super sticky MI6 sole much better for pushing in and much lighter than the older Impacts that I had. Also dry very quickly. Love em.

Edit- had some Teva Links but the newer Five Tens are better all round IMO

Wow, that brings back some memories. Used to know Aaron Aedy back in the day, he used to live somewhere Hebden Bridge area and drank Guinness in the Upper George in Halifax. Always skint, said he would buy me a few beers back when they got famous

Just got some Lizard Skins DSP foam grips. Seem very good so far, first try with a foam type grip. They seem to have a tougher outer than ESI but are very comfortable, not tried them in the wet yet but once fitted they seem very secure. Only 25g as well for the 30.3 dia.
