Had the same problems with some four pot Xo trails, tried lods of different pads with the same results. Even tried different types of rotors. Superb in the dry but a mare when wet. Have you tried balancing the pistons? See here  http://www.pinkbike.com/news/tech-spotlight-brake-caliper-piston-service-assessment-2014.html
Ended up swapping to Xtr 9020 trail brakes as I never found a good soloution

Yeh, Led Zep @ Manchester Free Trade hall in 1971, was completely sober but everybody else including the band were flying. Not a wise decision

Dry my three pairs on the radiator after a cycle in the washing machine and just a quick rinse , always super sticky. So much so that they they stick to the kitchen ceramic tiles after.

Yeh, run one of these myself
Tried the Muckynutz and The Rrp type, Imo this is the best, also have the longer version. The short one stays on all year round, long one if needed.

The make of rotor is irrelevant TBF. Think the revs will take a 160mm rotor without spacers but you need one for the 180mm. Are your forks post mount or Is?

Annoyingly I don’t know what rotors I’ve got because the bike is second hand and I don’t have a full spec. I’ll see what happens if I take the spacers out.

Can you use a tape measure/ruler? Would you be happy working on the brakes on your car if you have one? It amazes me that just because it’s a bicycle people assume they have the skillset to carry out what is essentially a very simple job IF you know what you are doing.

You don’t get a charger with a Torchy battery. I have three of of Jim’s batteries one is three years old and still fine. Get a decent charger

Have some in my shock in place of bushes. I just take em out, clean the rollers and cage. Fill cage with grease and put the rollers back in with a little extra grease on top then push in the centre bush. The rollers dislodge Very easily when fitting them and can drop out.

Another vote for Torchy’s BK7 even, and it’s superb for the money. Comes with a bar mounted quick release. Very good run time, two and a half hours on full is no problem. Only negative is the six cell battery is a little heavy. But it’s lighter than the Hope R8 which was also in the running. Good value for money and VERY bright, I have it paired with a Solastorm X2 on the helmet.

Put Mrs Dhd’s leathers in the loft a couple of years ago. The mice prefered hers to mine. Cat can’t get up in the loft :(

Think the oil would affect the glue, but it’s your shock. Sounds like a total bodge TBF. I run a DB Inline and would not use tape.

Ah, I get it. Shimano in their wisdom make a brake system that is not sealed and let’s mineral oil mitigate past the said seals and water enter the system. Cool. Shimano is the easiest system to bleed IMHO. Not trolling but trying to assist and have considerable experience in automotive, motorcycle, and bicycle brake systems. Happy trails

Why do you need to fit a bleed block to do a bubble bleed?

Google is your friend. Bleed from the calliper up. Then if you still have a problem do a lever bubble bleed. Simples
