Fat Carbon Sex,but I have had a couple/few Stella’s. Very nice.Quite fancy one myself but Mrs Dhd might remove my bit’s. Is it a build or a complete bike you are after. If I sell my 5 Spot I might be allowed

Rickon, don’t think it a setup or bed in problem.I have Formula R1’s on my Turner and they require near perfect setup due to the tight pad to disc clearance.Standard organic squeal like a good un in the wet but running sintered Aztec and they are silent in any conditions bar the usual grit grind that clears as soon as you feather the brakes. The Avid’s are on a new bike so not had much time to experiment yet, many thanks for your comments though.Might contact Aztec to see if they are planning to offer any in the future

Have recently bought a 2014 Spicy, fantastic bike.Don’t know what the reliability will be like but the frame has a six year warranty. The Zesty is the same frame so should be good. It’s a much better bike than my DW link 5 Spot which i thought was brilliant. And they sell them locally

    Power < 80% Three Led’s on
    50 % < Power > Two Led;s on
Runtime < 30 mins One Led flashing Simples 8) Is it a standard battery? Mine only worked correctly for three or four charges, replaced with one from Torchy and problem solved

Have some Mt500 spray baggies and realy rate them, but,as you say not waterproof. So I bought some Gore Bike Wear Alp-X 2.0 Gore Tex shorts and they are Totally waterproof. No pockets or zip fly though,so comfort breaks require dropping them 8O . Good fit and not too baggy, but not cheap.

Think you would so need the life jacket to work. Have taken them before on flights, five times last year to Fuerteventura. Put them in my case/ hold laggage. If they go in your bike bike they normally ask before they X-Ray it.

Well first ride today,16 miles around Meltham and Holmfirth.Semi frozen ground so not too dirty. Absolutely blown away with it  so stable and smooth. The Xx1 is so much better than the shimano on my 5 Spot. Totally the right decision to buy.The Pikes are butter smooth and The Ei sorts everything out at the back,no bob on the climbs off road or tarmac
Here’s a semi dirty photo some of you wanted

JCL, not cool i’m afraid.Or young :( My 5 Spot has a 70mm stem so seems a good compromise. Rickos, the pedals are Straitline Amps

They feel very nice under my five tens and weigh just 276g

PB, will let you know first run out tomorrow.(2014 Spicy Team) Rorschach,During the tests of the bike in Chatel they were jet washing the bikes without any problems so will have to see. It’s under warranty and is removed in seconds.Shop where I bought it from have sold quite a few Ei versions and only had one problem and that was with a sensor failing.Time will tell. And a happy Xmas to you too PB

JCL the stems 55mm which I think will be fine.Looks kinda long due to mount for the Ei controller. Will let the hive know what the suspension is like.

This is what it reminds me of

blood, thought about a Zesty, but heard all the negatives about Fox 34’s so decided on this.Would not be able to explain to Mrs Dhd about the need for new forks straight away anyway. From what I’ve heard the Ei is very good, will let you know

10 speed KMC with 9 speed Sram powerlinks here. Just pick the chain to suit your budget. Have used KMC light and superlight in silver and gold options in 9 and 10 speed. IMO a better chain than Sram, tried the hollow pin (think 990pg) and the rollers started breaking. No problems at all with KMC  BTW the KMC version of powerlink is VERY tight, that’s why I use Sram links

Would take the linkages apart and regrease them turning the bushes as you add grease via the zerk fittings. Try to do my 5 Spot at least once a year to keep it smooth. Just greasing via the zerks is not enough to ensure the shaft is well lubed.

Mine did the same,it’s a common fault by all accounts. I have free insurance with my bank account so got a new phone. Might be covered on your house insurance. If not it looks quite simple as a Diy fix, loads of help on Google and the speaker is £1.85 online

Have tried Five Ten karver, fell in bits after a year and hopeless/heavy when wet take forever to dry. Am 41’s not enough grip for my liking. Teva link mids not bad grip, dry quicker but are a pain to clean.Five Ten freeriders which I use as a summer shoe, brilliant. And lastly Five Ten freeride elements Vx1 which are the best flat pedal shoes I have tried.Brilliant grip, comfy, dry VERY quickly and just wipe down with a wet cloth. For my two night rides and a Saturday blast they are perfect
