Should read Evoc are pretty good above, not Enve

Just what I read, that’s why I bought it. Took me and Mrs Dhd to get them in, tucking the tyre and working the zip. Even took the front and one rear hub spacers off. Also took the discs off didn’t trust leaving them on as it say’s in the blurb. Taped them in the bottom of the bag.

Had to let the tyres right down  No track pump, so had to pump like the bu**ery for quite a while. Thought I was going to have to remove the tyres. Which bike bag are they going in? The Enve ones are pretty good, just put some foam pipe lagging on as a precaution. Survived unscathed.

Don’t know weather they are the same size but I have an Evoc bike bag which is supposed to take ALL wheel sizes. My 650b Sram wheels with 2.35 Hans Damph are a VERY tight fit. Even thought at one point that I wouldn’t get them in a rather expensive new bag. Your Enve Mtb wheels/tyres come up even bigger than mine I believe.

Think Slik graphics only do regular sized Enve decals

Looks like you had a nice holiday. Maybe a touch too downhill orientated for me. But have bookmarked there website so we shall see. Nice riding in the sun :D

For me it’s a no brainer. ALWAYS take your own bike. It’s what you are used to, and makes a difference. To be fair sometimes it’s slightly more expensive/more hassle but you always feel better on your own bike. Whatever happens enjoy.

Plus one for Evoc. Again, 20kg is unlikely with a Mtb methinks. Tend to pick flights/airlines that have a 30kg limit for the bike.

Love my VXi elements.Lighter than my Freeriders and dry very quickly. Can be a bit slippy if it’s muddy with the smooth mid section.Had Karver’s and Teva links, VXi best by far for me.

My son used the rice method but it took a week in a warm place. I was dubious that it would work but hey, worth a try. Mrs Dhd kindly washed one of mine on a 90min cycle. Killed it dead. :(

Been looking for info as well. Just Emailed Simon @ Loco to see when it’s available and if it will fit on my Spicy Team with the EI system on. Will let you know. Should be a good match for my Pikes. From what I’ve read on MTBR and PB it sounds very good.

What weight and size did the Highroller come in at? Let me know how they ride please. Had UST Bc Rubber Queens on my Turner and loved em but the side walls are too prone to chaffing. Have Hans Damps but always fancied trying Maxxis hence the swap.

Hi OW, sorry for not getting back to you earlier~I work nights. Just use a cheapo lifeline from Wiggle with 20 Oz cartridges. You need to make sure the tyre is NOT sat right into the central well especially by the valve. I get the outside of the tyre and pull it across to the opposite side of the wheel to try to pull the bead out of the well.If you have the bead quite a way into the well you will loose all the Co2 :| Its a bit trial and error Tbf I have done it maybe 20 plus times and still cock up.Always have the valve on top and use the Co2 as a single burst. The Ardent wouldn’t seat first try so used used a small paint brush to apply some latex around the tyre bead as a lubricant and it flew up. Seats with a right bang Btw. Have shown riding buddies this method after they struggled. Hope this helps

Tried with a floor pump, but the Co2 works every time. Serial tyre swapper I’m afraid. Like trying new stuff.

I have Sram Rail 50 wheels (650B) with a 2.4 Ardent Exo TR on the rear and it comes up at 60mm knob to knob, carcass is 57mm and weighed 762g. Not had chance to try it yet :| (parents not playing ball, both quite frail)but all being well this weekend. Went up very easily, fitted it lubed the rim with Stans and used a Co2 to bang it up,let the air out added some Stans and Bob’s yer uncle. Was fancying the Hr2 3C combo but want to see if it’s Ok with my 2.35 Hans Damph on the front first. Let me know how you get on with the Hr2 exo 3C on the front and what size they come up at please. Oh and actual weight. Ta

Hi sheck, sounds just the job. How much climbing is there, the vids look mostly downhill. What sort of daily distances are involved ? Would have a non riding partner, Mrs downhill. So need to find out if she can be accommodated as well. Think an email is in order.

Thanks guys. Tusk have seen the feedback on their website, just wondered if anyone on here had any first hand experience. Some of the videos look pretty good. Would tick off two of my Bucket List as well.

This is the rear triangle when I picked it up, maybe a better idea of the colour .

No, but it was the only one they did at the time. All the colours are on the website. Would go with a clear lacquer if I did it again, which I am sure they can do. Prices are online too.

Plus one for Triple S. One they did for me.
Not cheap but very good quality and a good turnaround.

    Went from this

Both swallow bikes and gear, the white one does MUCH more Mpg. The blue one is MUCH faster.

Slight hijack, @ Tom how do you find the Ardent/ High roller 2 combo? Ta

You can normally feel some roughness if the bearing if it’s on it’s way out. Take the wheel out and hold each end where the Qr goes and spin it. It will be very obvious if it’s rough. Should be a fairly simple bearing swap if that’s the case. Have done Hope bearing swap’s in the past, very easy.

Had an Invisiframe kit fitted by Lee on my 2014 Spicy Team (matte finish) he did a superb job while I waited. Recently took the bike to my LBS who said “thought you were having it wrapped?” it’s that good.Seems very durable too. Wouldn’t want to do it myself though. Got a kit for my Pikes and found it a pain to fit.

Slight hijack, anyone bought complete wheels from Light Bicycle? How’s the build/ durability? Thinking of a set on Pro 2 hubs for my Spicy.

LBS were great for me,as @ Rick says sorted the problem. Bought motorcycles off them for ever. They started selling bicycles a few years ago. Same professional attitude. Love Em

Similar to jaffejoffer, but give it a wash with a little car shampoo in warm water after the Muc Off. Dry it off, lube the forks shock and dropper with Fork Juice. Leave it by the radiator in the kitchen to dry then clean and lube the chain. No damage to any of my previous bikes, been using it for years, sometimes three times a week.

Picked the bike up this morning, set the sag to 30%. Back to normal. Thanks to James at my LBS and Sram/rockshox/Fishers for their technical input. How long will you be without your forks Chris? Hope all goes well with your repair.
