My large Spicy Team is 13.4 Kg or 25.54 lbs on the Lbs park scales, thought it would be lighter as Lapierre quote 12.5 Kg standard  Someone is fibing in France.

Have an Ardent Exo 2.4 on the front and an Ikon 2.35 on the rear. Both 650B, loving em. Better tubeless than my previous Hans Damph’s as they don’t loose air or bleed oily latex through the casing. Seem more robust too, but time will tell. Much more robust than Conti UST Rubber Queen’s on which I shredded the sidewalls.

Nice, had the rim decals on my 5 Spot. You just need the Invisiframe fork and frame kit fitting to avoid any damage.

Invisiframe, had mine done by them. Think some bike shops fit it too. Not come unstuck at all and you really have to look to spot it. Excellent

Fairly sure it was the old Pike only that you could have pushed. Would contact Simon at Loco he should be able to help you.

Liking my Avid Xo trail brakes. Four piston calipers with amazing power and control and no fade. Also been totally reliable. Or the cheaper X9 trail also available only difference is a bush as opposed to a bearing in the lever pivot.

Used to do this for a living many moons ago. It’s flattened the radius on the top two gouges so would require knocking out from the inside to enable you to maintain the radius. I would use a a metal drift but you should be able to fashion something from wood to do the trick. Slightly smaller radius than the inside of the van corner. Try to get it as good as you can as less filler is better. Sand all around the general area with ideally a rubber sanding block but a piece of wood will suffice. If you just use your fingers you won’t get it flat. The panel needs degreasing before you fill and paint it. You could roughen to surface area to help the filler adhere, with a sharp pointed scriber or similar. Put the filler on and sand away. The finish of your sanding and filling needs to be as good as possible before you paint is applied. I would paint up to the vertical seam on the side and down to the hinge area unless you can blend the paint into the surrounding area. Good luck

It’s not about the ramp Bwd, just that it stands up on it’s own and is very stable when you have to wheel it anywhere which is the point I was trying to make. Any large bag is normally at the bottom of pile in an aircraft hold. I fly with the bike five or six times a year and the cheaper bag even has rips in where it’s been slid along on it’s side. The Enve has none. You can pack a bike in the Enve bag in 10 mins.It would be a strange old word if we all made the same choice and Jon was asking for advice which I gave. Seen some very soggy looking cardboard contraptions over the years as well

I have a CRC lightweight bag and an Evoc and agree with Mike totally. The Evoc folds into itself for storage. The last flight I had saw the bike upright going up the ramp onto the plane as it will stand up on it’s own. You get what you pay for with the Evoc, protection, ease of packing and MUCH easier to move about. Take your rotors off though, the video they have shows them on but I think they are too vulnerable.

^^ Have you got any bottomless tokens in? They reduce the airspace so you would need less pressure. My Pikes have failed again and have been at Fishers for nearly three weeks  Hope they will be back this week, had the use of a demo Orange 5 RS and the pikes on that don’t work as they should. The open ,locked and pedal on the right fork leg does nothing at all. Never had a problem with my flexy Fox forks. Been looking at an Avalanche upgrade for the forks, all new internals.

Just bought a Blue Scrub off the classified in large. The website say’s to size up. Medium in every thing else. No chance of any elbow armour underneath. Very nicely made jersey though. It is a bit snug to be fair but keeping the nettles off the arms on last nights ride. Probably a bit too athletic a fit for me.

Had Formula R1’s on my Turner. Best pad I tried was Aztec sintered, last forever, little noise wet or dry.Freeborn has deals on five sets. Would still use them now but not available for my Xo trails. Have Uberbike race matrix in at the mo and they seem fine.

Hi MaxT, the Ei is fantastic. I have had a couple of problems, so here goes. Had a new head unit under warranty, but also had Pike problems and rear wheel problems. Every thing has been sorted by my Lbs :-) The Pike problems are well known, rear wheel bearings were pretty rough. New rear wheel supplied by Sram via Lbs. Result, as it was dinged as well, don’t ask. Head unit, electrical things do fail. Enough of the problems, had a very nice 5 spot before and the Spicy is head and shoulders better. It climbs very well, you only notice what the shock is doing if you look at the head unit. Down hill is another matter, it’s SO easy and secure. That’s why I managed to ding the rim Twice  Waiting on the Debonair upgrade which should make it even better.Where do you you live, more than willing to let you have a ride as demos are hard to find. Glad you like it

When I bought my Golf R I had to wait nearly eight months for delivery. Had it for over three years now and it still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Build quality is not as good as the twin turbo 1 Series BMW I had prior. The beemer was only 205 bhp but averaged 50ish to the gallon. The Golf has been on the dyno and is 278.2 bhp standard. Use it and it drinks fuel at quite a rate. Normally under 20mpg with a best of 32 if it’s nursed. Do I care? No, it’s a superb drivers car, fits two bikes and gear .When it’s wet you can still drive as hard as you want, it just gets on with it and is supremely safe. The new R is quite a bit more economical from what I have read, but I was told mine would average 30mpg. If you choose the Golf I am sure you will love it as much as I do mine. Here’s mine 8)
