Not had a problems with any of the tyres I tried on Stans rims, just my Sram Rail’s

Was thinking bladed to try and eleminate spoke wind up, but will have a look at the Laser’s. My Lbs,who will build the wheels (has done a few sets of Lb rims) prefers J bend but when he gave my Rail’s a check over before a trip to Spain was quite impressed. In over twelve months the Rails’s have been superb apart from tyre seating. I know I could just buy a compressor but fancy trying to drop the weight a little. Still have to do the sums for that one though.

Cheers guys thanks for your help. Glad to see it’s not only me that has a problem with the Rail’s OW. Don’t know weather to sell the Rail’s or strip and use the hubs which I like. Have seen some DT 350’s straight pull for just over £150 plus postage, would like the 240’s but they are more than double for a circa 60 gram weight loss.

Had lodsa different tyres on the Crest without a problem. Running a Magic Mary upfront and a Minion Dhf on the rear. Also have An Ikon and an Ardent. Lbs were suprised at how much effort it took seat on a “premium” wheel.

Had quite a few in my shoulders, not nice. Very long needle which was worked into/near the ball and socket. No help at all.

Had a Bmw 1 Series which was crap in the snow and at the time we were doing a 60 plus mile commute to both workplaces. Bought some winter steelies and tyres (genuine Bmw) When we informed the insurance company we had to pay extra to make the car safer 8O Bit of a con Tbf, but what an amazing difference they made. The insurer classed it as modifying the car, even though the wheels themselves would be much cheaper to replace than the standard 19inch alloys. Worked for us but extracting the urine.

I use dailys when I ride, just in the right eye. They are for distance and if I wear two my close up stuff (maps/mechanicals,etc) suffer.Been using them for a couple of years with no problems. Sometimes they feel a little irritating when I put them in but soon forget about them on a ride. Normally wear Oakley Radarlock Path’s with them. Had a free trial first as I didn’t know how I would cope.

Let the air out, then twist it. A bar or similar in each eye might help. My Db Inline was both eyelets inline and I needed them to be at 90deg to each other.

Swissstop have a pad to suit but they are expensive. Lots in the States but Halfrauds have them, http://www.halfords.com/cycling/cycling-parts/disc-brakes/swissstop-d32-s-sram-hd-pad
Also seen these from the Germans, http://www.bike24.com/p266545.html

Had some Singletracks for a couple of years, without mudguards 8O , bad word I know, but,you will get a wet butt. The thing is they don’t feel too bad when wet. Depends if you need to arrive dry. Only use em offroad and I like them for that, like I say you get wet BUT not too uncomfortable, it’s wierd you notice the big splash etc but then not much till you stop. Stops cold knees/legs. I wear em when it’s miserable and cold outside and love em.

Nice that. Would add some protection to the seat tube where the cables cross over though. What are the Dt 350 hubs like? Was thinking about some for a L/B carbon wheelset

My vote for best looking race bike is this

A stunning bike with not enough development or money to make it truely competative.

Had my Turner done at Triple S and they only have one yellow, unless you want to pay for a special powder @ £100 plus. They did a very good job, but would have it laquered if I was doing it again. Bit more robust / resistant to damage. They have a colour chart online Btw :-)

Drop em a mail. They got back to me the day after. I enquired about one for my Spicy Team as the mounts are @ 90 Deg to each other. Love the shock, still playing about with the setup (cos you can)
