@Charlie, one of my Spanish friends in the village where I live (Velez Blanco (Andalusia) introduced me to tabasco in a bottle of Mahou last summer. Rather nice it is too, warming up nicely as you finish the bottle. Goes well with a beef Empanadilla tapa.

I have the bead dropper and it works very well Tbf. Previously used a big screwdriver with some protection on the end but was bothered about damaging my tyre sidewalls. If you use the round bin method as described in the how to vid its a very easy to remove a tyre

Since we moved to Spain over three years ago my CD collection has been boxed and in a utility room. All my music was on iTunes anyway so I decided to just get rid of it. Bought a Synology Nas drive and transferred all my music onto it. I can play music in and outside the house (no neighbours) via an old iPad and we have music on every day Tbf. However, I have found Classic Rock Florida machine radio station. There is no presenter/talking or news etc, and we predominantly listen to this even though I have around 1.5k CD´s on the Nas. I used Noteburner to transfer my music to the Nas and you put a hundred or so albums in a queue and just let it do its thing. Do you still have music on iTunes? If so its very easy. Ouch that Brennen B2 is expensive.

Buy a grommet that you think is the correct size (i´d get a few various sizes) Cut the grommet with a stanley knife and try the fit. if its Ok fit it and pop a little super glue on the grommet join and bobs yer grandad. (Well he was mine)

The heater matrix is prone to fail as are the suspension bushes, (creaking over speed bumps) mine was done under warranty. Not driven the petrol version but the diesels are good. I had the 123D M Sport with twin turbos and always hovered around the fifty mpg mark. Great car, kinda wish we had kept it. We had a five year service contract via BMW and they were buffoons with it, dreadful.

Get some Farecla G30. You can get a tube for not much money, its a polishing compound so will remove any small scratches etc. If you don´t have any polishing cloths an old clean T shirt will do, remove any seams first. Apply a little compound and rub away removing any residue with a clean piece of the cloth, Finish off with a little car wax(polish)

    @kenneth €780 at set at around 12psi
Also towed a diesel Mondeo estate up the hill to Blanco, tarmac tho.
First time I tried the slope, no go. Hence the Yokohama’s

Suzuki have stopped producing diesel vehicles. It doesn’t weigh much so you would be limited to what you can tow.
My trailer full is around 1700kg and it’ll pull that up a 45 deg slope in one of the local forests in low ratio without much wheelspin.

    Yes thanks, here´s mine

Clean, dirty and working. I am retired and live in the mountains in southern Spain and use it off road most days. Love it to bits, very capable offroad. Copes Ok with airport runs but is happier in its intended environment Tbf. Could be a bit better on fuel but the tyres don´t help. It will cruise happily around 140kph but as the reviews suggest it´s a little noisy. I drive with the window open most off the time so its not a problem for me.

“Alex” just for balance my Cushcore took around fifteen minutes the pair to fit and went up with just a track pump. The Maxxis tyres were used so maybe made it a little easier. Heard they may be difficult to remove.
Had plenty of experience with Metzler Six-Days tyres tho.

So, you held your saw on for TEN seconds and saw smoke. You expect it to cut efficiently after that.
As the Op´s have stated a sharp chain and an oil supply to lubricate the cut are a must.
People seem to sharpen there chains a little too often on here Tbf.

Five trailer loads cut and the brought home then cut to fit in my splitter. No chain sharpening required and still cutting fine. I used to sharpen with a file but they don´t last long and my local Husky dealer charges two euro´s for a machine sharpen.

wookster, good luck with the fitting. If I can be of any help give me a shout 👍

wookster, they seem fine. Only problem is a slight wobble in the tyres. There’s loads of latex residue and I think the insert has stuck to the inside of the tyre. Thought a ride would sort it but they need letting down and pulling straight. Started @ 18psi front and 22 rear. Mid ride let em down to 15 front and 18 rear. No rolling about on the rim and very surprisingly not much drag. It’s weird terrain here, very rocky and loose over hardpack.Bought the Cushcore to protect my carbon rims, time will tell.

Agree with Cal Crutchlow, lifetime ban. He was sacked by the VR academy for his irresponsible behaviour. Kicked out at Niki Ajo, then turned his bike off in 2015. He´s gonna hurt someone at some stage.

Very good view here in Velez Blanco in southern Spain. Sat and watched in the garden till the midges started to nibble. Mars has been very red/orange for a few nights too and very clear to see.

No light  pollution here, in fact the  only light is a neighbour’s outdoor light about half a mile  away, The moon was very bright last night and managed to take the dog for his late walk without a torch.

Had Bridgestone Blizzak on a BMW 123M Sport on a set of steelies from BMW, Superb tyres. Went from not being able to reverse out of my parking space to going up big hills with lots of snow on them. Insurance company charged me for the privilege tho

Don´t know Villmartin as I live further south in Velez-Blanco. Have ridden Sierra Espuna  which is not far away and a lot of the riding is around El Berro. Some big riding there, Steve Wade of Orange fame lives in the area and it´s where some of the bikes were/are developed. Also Sierra de Marina Alta is good riding. Try and get hold of the Trailrider Guide Spain published by revolution will give you an idea of the riding available, it´s endless Tbf . I´m sure there will be some small quiet villages further into the sticks but within commutable distance. Get a cheap flight and hire a car and have a look around nearby areas. Rural Spain is amazing.

I live in the southern Spain and its very dry and ROCKY here most of it very sharp stuff. I run Maxxis Dhf on the front and either an Ardent or Minion SS on the rear all in exo 3 C max terra versions. I run around 25psi rear and 23psi front with Stans tubeless jizz. You need tubeless because there are some evil thorns over here and for snakebite puncture protection. A friend came recently with his normal inner tube  setup and punctured (big double snakebite) on a superb 10km down hill which kinda spoilt the ride a little. He was running around 35 rear 30 front.

Love em, but then I have my own olive grove here in Spain. Green, black and any combinations of them are just different levels of ripeness. Green olives are unripe black olives are ripened on the tree. Olives off the tree are the bitterest things in the world, they need brining to remove this and make them edible. Some of my trees are over five hundred years old.

Have used Joe´s, Stan´s. You don´t get the massive snot ball with with Joe´s and it lasts better here in southern Spain.

Works well for me. Easier push and is in the perfect position for my thumb. Much better than the standard remote Imho.

Are the rim and tape cold. Normally heat up the rim with Mrs Dhd’s hairdryer and have the tape in a warm place. You really have to stretch it quite tight. Then I mount the tyre with a tube in, pump up to 40ish Psi and leave it overnight, this helps the tape adhere properly. Then set it up with latex etc

Put some duct tape on the shaft to stop it getting scratched. Push down on the seal head with a long flat bladed screwdriver, it moves reasonably easily Tbf. Use circlip pliers to put the snap ring back in. Make sure to line it up with the depression in seal head first.

Another vote for the Ford Grand Tourneo Connect. Three bikes with front wheels on is easy, just need to drop the seat posts. Plenty of room for three people and all their gear,The tailgate is huge to shelter under if you need to.
A mate had an SMAX that had a clever rail that fastened to the floor to locate the forks with the wheels out, seem to to remember they had to be at an angle to get the bars to clear.

Push harder, it takes a bit of effort. Found mine easy to do when I fitted my Luftkappe. Used a long narrow bladed screwdriver Btw.
