Took a ride up there again today, one or two new features I think and I don’t remember seeing the skills loop last time

Went for a look a couple of weeks ago, yes short but loads of families/kids out enjoying it.

DHL do, or at least have done, corporate schemes for cycle safety. Driver awareness I think and also taking a truck into school playgrounds and demonstrating blind spots etc.

One morning this week, throught the last few junctions of my ride to work, the same taxi:
– changed lanes without signalling (or presumably looking)
– blocked advanced stop lines x2
– ran one amber and one red light
– and looked like was speeding over 30mph (to get to the next red light…) although I guess I don’t know that for sure.

and then stopped near my work to offload a kid at a nursery. Admittedly the ASL blocking doesn’t really put the child in danger but still made me think.

Also it seems like pavements near where I live are mainly for parking cars on. Not just a wheel on the kerb, but fully blocking the path so anyone walking has to go on the road….

Top tip, tie your laces double tight or you risk losing your trainers in the first few minutes.

And you get style points for jumping into all water features (whatever the rules say about ‘showboating’…)

Ordered a bike from PX at the weekend – not due to get it until next week buy they have been helpful with various things so far (takes a while to get through on the phone though :| )

Amazes/scares me how many people I see change lanes etc without looking behind (people on bikes just the same as in cars or walking -stepping in the road- I guess)

Bought a bike from them recently, information about delivery time etc was spot on – from what they tell you about stock levels before your order, right through to the bike turning up. No problems at all with the bike.

All fair enough advice, but I’ve read advice for buyers (from police I think) saying that it a seller won’t meet at home you should be suspicious…
