It’s a new build turnkey, there is no one to move out of it. The first sale obviously fell through, its is decorated, all carpets, tiles, etc.

You may have just saved my bacon!

When you say quickly do you mean sell for less?

Ours is the pick of our development and would sell anyway.

My wife’s problem with selling to buy is that we have a dog and it is a lot of hassle doing viewings.

Hey everyone you’ve all told me what I already know unfortunately. :)

It’s good to hear it from others though.

My wife really wants the house and is blinded by that a bit and I made the mistake of agreeing. 😂

We are due to see an advisor on Tuesday who will hopefully give perspective.

I’m really between a rock and a hard place on this one. I do agree that the EA is lying about needing to sell, it is the last house in the development and is clear profit for the developer as far as I can see.

A tripod if you have one
Turn the dial on the top to M and input your settings manually.
You can set the feeder as your focal point with manual focus
Use a medium to small aperture f8/9/10 to get a decent depth of field (the area that will be in focus) this is called zone focusing
Use a shutter speed of 250/500/1000
As low an ISO as possible/ auto ISO if necessary
Balance the above settings to get the +/- symbol on the screen to be 0.0
Shoot in burst mode and delete the blurry ones/ones you don’t like

I have a 12 year old Mondeo which passed last night without me having to do any more than wash it. In N.Ireland we have MOT test centers which are government run, so there are no mechanics with vested interests. If you have an old car like mine, you run it through, get the list of what is wrong and get it retested. I always thought the mainland system was a bit odd.

I watched a nice documentary last night on Netflix about Elsa Dorfman, a portrait photographer who uses a 20×24 polaroid for her photos. Quite interesting and the camera results are amazing quality.

    Well worth a watch

It’s a fun, tactile experience with the film camera and yes it is different, it’s nice to be different sometimes.

    Another interesting one from yesterday

Does anyone digitise their film negatives? Is there a way to retain the ‘film look’ with scanners?

I may get an epson V600 in the future.

I started using my second roll of film at the weekend and got through about 6 shots of my family when I realised I hadnt changed the ASA setting from 400 to the 200 that it should have been for Kodak gold.

Anyone know if that sort of film can tolerate that amount of what I’m guessing is underexposure?

To the people who use scanners, which ones are you using?

I’ve had a bit of success using the DSLR method and inverting on photoshop, but its not always consistent.

Why would it be £1 more to develop 120 film than 35mm? Different machine?

I really enjoyed using the Pentax, see something you like , snap it and move on. You just have to accept what you got and move on, I’ll definitely be using it more.

The light meter on mine seems to be accurate enough, I’ll test it against the app and see.

Do you trust the light meters on them or use an app?

I use a feiyutech G5 and gopro 6. I mount it unto a chest mount using a handlebar gopro mount.

You clamp the gimbal in the handlebar part of the mount and then have to hack off one of the 3 prongs on the other end. There are some vids on how to do it on youtube.

    Works a treat.

Yea I’ve sort of convinced myself to do a year, that way I don’t have the mental challenge of the whole rest of life thing.

I gave up over 100 days ago now, just had my first sober birthday since my teens probably. It gets easier as you go along and in my opinion has been my best ever decision. Its easy and hard at the same time with some strange mental conflicts. Ive been reading plenty of blogs but im trying to keep to the positive ones but ive come to the conclusion that there are people out there who are just going sober so they can write about something and gain instagram followers! Lots of shite about getting up early and meditation!

Keep it up orange! It’s a real gift that we have come to this point and realisation in life!

Hero 7 stabilisation looks incredible as does the 8 and there isn’t much between them in terms of price. I’m thinking about selling my gimbal and Hero6 and getting a 7 or 8.

Although if the DJI shoots in a decent colour profile I might look at that

People drink so much because alcohol is addictive, freely available, the culture is focused on drinking to much and most of us cant say no to one more.

Fevertree Tonic with elderflower is a reasonably nice simulation of G&T if you add some lemon and ice.

I’ve been off booze since June, loving life and hopefully never going back!

I think the issues surrounding alcohol need to be adressed in the same way as cigarettes, in the 50s,60s and 70s and before, everyone thought they were fine and did no harm, then we realised that they were killing people. Cigarette companies produce a product that kills people, likewise alcohol companies produce a product that causes 6% of worldwide deaths yearly! As said above we need a culture shift!

Oh and suggesting that people who give up alcohol have a problem is absurd, they are giving up their problem.

Background to this is that I was thinking of doing a few selfies using cheap yongnuo flash/shutter triggers and somehow mounting one to the bars. Similar to something I saw Doddy from GMBN doing on an old post of his only he was using the pricey pocketwizards. You can get great results!

The Gravensteen in Gent is great, not because its a castle, but because of the commentary on the headphones as you walk around, hilarious!

Make sure and sit and dangle your legs at the edge of the river and watch the world float by.

Asparagus soup is lovely as are the boiling hot chip cones, Gent is lovely altogether!

I watched a bit, I need to watch it all to see if it was reasonably impartial. Problem with these types of shows is that they bring out the anger a bit, I was born in 85 with family in S Armagh so grew up with this stuff, these shows can be very hard to watch with a level head.
