As far as I am aware, samsung haven’t released any prices and that’s just a guess from play.com.
I suspect they will actually be a fair bit cheaper, otherwise they won’t be selling many!

    In the Claim Chowder folder.

Hey, at least when Android tablets come out, they’ll be cheaper. Right, right?

    Will they ****: – Samsung Galaxy Tab – £599 for 16GB.

Cyberduck is a pretty great piece of software. I use it almost everyday to work with S3 buckets. FTP? What is this, 1998?

Probably not, we’ll have all gone home while you’re still out lying on your ass complaining about your tyres.

NSFW people, or at least wear earphones.

Paid my TV Licence earlier this week, then this happened. Best thing on TV ever.

Why did it take so long for them to open? I have been cycling past them for months.

About 18months iirc. Opening them had to wait for the conclusion of the FCs nationwide trail-grading and safety reports. Or some similar bureaucracy.

Bought a MBP battery from a place in KY via Ebay. Looks the part when it comes, even down the the serial numbers. As soon as you fit it you realise it's not the genuine item. Not a snug fit in the machine, and the alloy is a marginally different colour. After nearly a year, it's already hosed, but then that's possibly because it's rarely not plugged into the power supply these days.

    Buy genuine.

Another big-up for Freeride Spain here. Folks are super nice, very flexible. Can't speak for the trails, but the roads around there are awesome if you're into that sort of thing.

Love riding the road bike in the winter, no agenda, just getting the miles in, chat with mates and some good coffee at the cafe stop. I do have the massive advantage of getting to ride in daylight during the week, certainly makes the motivation a bit easier to find.

Summer rides are never as carefree for me, always thinking about how hard I can go, and whether I should be tapering for the next race. By this point in the year I just want to sack it all off and go riding. One race to go, crazy missions planned for the few weeks after.

Filled Pause. Same as 'umm', 'errr', 'like', etc. Most of us do it, especially if we don't want to be interrupted.

So you'll quite happily spend £2k on your mincemobile, but won't cough up $15 to support the sport?

That $15 pays for the entire year of World Cup coverage, makes sense to charge for the biggest weekend of the year. Payment also covered the XC yesterday, and if you had bought the pass before the end of August, was only $9.

That payment, Eurosport Player subscription, and occasional Cycling TV membership is considerably cheaper than the TV Licence, and far better value IMO.

If you drew a comparable circle round Cannock it's probably 10million+

If you drew a comparable circle arround Swinely it would include France*.

    Full of **** tho, innit?

Swinley, be serious, possibly the most overrated place I have ever ridden. The Green at Glentress has it beat, in fun and challenge.

Go to bearing supplier, buy bearings, lift seals with a scalpel or brand new Stanley knife blade, fill the bearings with a good quality waterproof grease, replace the seals. That is all that Kaetec will be doing.

lardman – No-one is interested in your sob story. There are several threads a day now either bigging up or complaining about CRC. We're over it, go cry somewhere else, and more importantly, order your stuff from somewhere else, like your LBS.

MSC Koncept Carbon – 1600g with shock. I know of one up for sale soon.

Thing flies, doesn't feel flexy and fragile. It even wins races sometimes, like yesterday.

Had an Ionos for two years now. Awesome helmet, supremely comfortable.

Prolight just seems a bit on the silly side, especially on the MTB where you're looking for some more pointy rock protection.

Have to agree with you. An average of 17mph for a 100mile mtb race is just silly. From the photos and the documentary, it looks like it is almost all fire road.

MTB is definitely the most suitable bike for it, but I'd really love to see Levi clock up a similar time by doing something like the Selkirk Marathon, twice, to get 100miles.

He'd probably surprise us by doubling his dose and making it look easy.

'Serious' cyclocross doesn't really exist in Scotland. Few people have multiple bikes and the associated paraphernalia, a LOT of people just use mountainbikes.

An hour from Edinburgh will get you to all of the rounds, bar Aviemore (2 hours), and Mull (4 hours if you count the ferry trip). Cheap to enter, great banter, and shed loads of people so you always feel like you're racing, rather than TTing it on your own.

Alpine is an awesome rim. Got one a few months ago to build a spare race wheel, ended up being the wheel I use most of the time. Tyres inflate far easier than they ever did with an Olympic, even though it doesn't use a rimstrip. I'm 9st though, I'd recommend you suck up the extra 20g in a pair and get the Crest.

Cracking race, loved the course, especially when it got wet. Lack of motivation to change tyres meant our whole team were riding on Crossmark/Ignitor combo's till daylight, worked OK till the mud started to thicken and mud tyres became the only choice.

Folk on the course were great, apart from that one guy on the descent down to the RH hairpin at the marshall point, who insisted I would only have to wait 'a second' till the fireroad. I counted 35, so about 15 more than it you'd let me past, ya mincer!

Martyn's excuse making on the podium for the second and third place teams was pretty funny, almost like it's amazing that a team can come from Scotland and beat some big names. Maybe it's just they don't expect us to be the best at looking after our health and making sure our bikes don't break halfway round a lap.

We'll likely be back next year, doing a rain dance.

haven't weighed my wheels but they're very fast and had no stability problems so far whatsoever.

They'll be about 1600-1700g. Not light.

    Dougal

. I've just had an uber light wheelset built and have still gone for comps rather than revs

If you went for Comps, they're evidently not 'uber light'.

a limited shelf life like revs

Total BS. All my wheels are built with revolutions. One wheel on my training bike is now almost seven years old without any problems. My race wheelset is almost three years old. Yes, I do weigh 59Kg, but that doesn't seem to be what's causing them to last so long, as the 14st Dr Jon[/url] has Revs on all his bikes. The man swears by the ride they give and their impressive longevity.
