Someone on Reddit[/url] translated it and gave some scope:

well i speak russian and watched the video a few times. the guy that was swimming was on a date with a girl, he didn’t know anyone else there. the fight was between security and other people in the crowd. the tall guy from, what i can tell, was there with his family and you can see a little girl sitting on his lap at 1:35. the guy sitting above the swimmer as well as the tall guy ran down to help the swimmer guy once he got sucker punched. tall guy was just trying to maintain peace, he kept saying “what the hell are you doing” “this is a family place” “you guys just sucker punched him” he never tries to throw a punch just tries to back up the guy that got beat. everytime they try to hit him he threw them in the pool. he takes off his shirt and kept yelling for em to stop. that guy was **** awesome.

So if Apple can make them so cheap, what shit do they fill them with…

Apple have huge buying power for NAND Flash (memory chips), which they use in their iPhone, iPad, iPod and Macbook Air lines. So much buying power in fact, that they gobble up some ridiculous percentage of the world supply, driving up the price of the remaining supply.

In summary; Apple buy their NAND cheap, competitors can’t because they won’t commit to buying Apple-like volumes of the stuff.

Apple has more CASH, not worth or value.

As in actual greenbacks that things can be bought with right now.

How are you sharing the library from one machine to another?

Moving/copying the metadata with either instance of iTunes running is unlikely to work very well. In order for both machines to successfully share the metadata you’d have to quit iTunes on both machines, do your copy, then open iTunes again.

All seems a bit Heath Robinson, best to stick with using the Home Sharing feature and not worry about moving files around.

Used the Vitorria one this past winter. Works great, should get at least another year out of it.

I have a Monorail 62a eXCeption I use on the back in the wet as an intermediate between a Crossmark and Medusa. Works really well. Fast rolling, lots of grip even in fairly sloppy stuff.

Running it tubeless at about 25psi.

TJ – Just had Pat McQuaid on the phone, he’s got a position in the UCI’s Cavity Search Team he’d like you to fill. Blazer included.

The issue with the Contador case is that there are other cases of Clenbuterol positives that have not seen sanction from national bodies, and which have not been pursued further by WADA. http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/7408/WADA-chief-confirms-that-Agency-wont-appeal-Dimitrij-Ovtcharovs-Clenbuterol-case-dismissal.aspx

There is also a lot of scientific evidence that supports Contador’s accidental ingestion defence, this is the reason the hearing has been delayed, as the UCI and WADA are having difficulty mounting a serious case against him from a scientific point of view.

If ‘Bert is handed down a sanction, that would be a pretty poor way for Andy to ‘win’ a tour, and with a now 14 month delay in getting this sorted, it’s bad for our sport* no matter what happens.

    * for some value of sport.

    Great thread.

Simonm – Does your employer distribute the box toppers also, or just the boxes? Not that I want them, just interested to know if there is standardisation of design and sizes.

Yep, Phantoms is almost always a total disaster, as is the Black Hill descent. Avoid if it’s rained substantially in the preceding week.

Apart from my knee deciding for all of Inners that smooth pain-free motion was not an option, I loved it! Great chat with folk, including Mr Greig Brown. 4:17 or 18.

Probably due to my go-slow for an hour I didn’t feel tired at the finish, even after gunning the Minch Moor to the finish section. I think I’ve become so comfortable with the distance and route, that unless it’s wet the challenge isn’t really there anymore, and I’m not really fussed about ‘racing’ in an event that isn’t a race. Hopefully next year will be a super wet one like 2007 and 2008.

@jonba – Entries down for all sorts of events. Lots of overlap these days (100km at Dalby on the same day for example), means the events have to compete a lot.

And just so we’re clear, a wheelsucker is someone who does little work in the hope of gains later. It’s what all the angry armwaving in breakaways is about.

Evans to win, he’s really losing his wheelsucker tag for me now

Anyone saying this now is a seasonal armchair critic. Time to watch races other than Le Tour.

World Champs 2009? Fleche 2010? His Giro stage win 2010? Master of the attack, the wheelsucking was due to not being able to attack, not choosing to.

Imagine you were in the same position. Just because you can’t attack, is it fair that people say you choose not to?

Sammy’s tucked descending is scary to watch, very twitchy movements. No doubt it’s fast though.

Same course as last year (Ragoggair – *that* first descent is still in it), smashing fun.

Definitely better than any of the others I’ve done (Builth and Penrith).

Kenda tyres? You’re brave. All the ones I have came with warning stickers about the sealant de-laminating the tyres. Having experienced the result of this recently I’ll stick to Maxxis and save my hearing/heart/face.

I don’t believe in those crazy aerosol things, or even CO2, too many witnessed and personal bad experiences with them. I carry a tube and a £3.99 short plastic pump. 2 minutes gets the tube in there and inflated. I’ve won races after puncturing, there’s little excuse in my mind for a DNF when it’s a puncture.

Practice, practice, practice. Buy some Schwalbe Marathon Plus and practice getting those on and off the rim fast, you’ll make your fingers bleed at first, but you will become very good at getting normal tyres off nearly instantly.

Same gearing as you would ride normally.

Colin May (Legendary ERC SS rider) managed to podium at a few of the Scottish CXs last year on a rigid MTB SS.

    SPOILERS SPOILERS!!!! GRRRR!!! ETC!!!!! HAHA!!!

It’s July, there are loads of over-serious mamils out at the moment, great for evening training when you’re feeling a bit rubbish. Come August the bikes will be back in the shed.

Great course, though second half was better than first.

People where great about passing too, except for one gentleman who’s bar I clipped after he fell over onto another line who then proceeded to go nuts at me. No need, luckily an exchange a few minutes later had me laughing out loud.

    New XTR are INCREDIBLE!

I’m running the race levers, 140/160 rotors. Can’t fault them at all, not even a hint of pump or fade on long & steep descents where my previous Juicy Ultimates would feel out of depth.

Bit slow with this reply, but yes, hoping for a decent result, but mostly some good training. Hard to do speed over a long duration on your own.

    Who made those wheels?

    Saracen.

Lovely looking bike, just a shame you won’t get it in the raw finish like that.

Like the OP, I would like a tablet, but want to avoid apple for some reason. I think it’s because I don’t like iTunes and the need to plug it into a PC to activate/register/back up and the problems I’ve had with the kid’s iPods

Wait till September, the need to sync with iTunes goes away in iOS 5.

The XX cassette I had last year lasted very well, stupidly expensive, but better durability than an XTR.

Well that’s a right pile of tosh!

XTR cassettes last a year on my race bike, then spend six months on my training bike. Giles Drake went through two XX cassettes last year, and Steve Deas destroyed his in two races (fair enough they were Tour De Ben Nevis and Strathpuffer, but still).

If you really need it, and can really use it, one client invoice will cover it.

Not up to that level? Use a cheaper tool that will more than likely do all you need.

This is fairly similar to my XTR argument; if you’re not sponsored, you probably wouldn’t do it justice anyways.

A standard steel gear cable inner is 1.3mm as @robdeanhove said.

XTR and Dura-Ace are currently 1.2mm, though they have made 1.1mm in the past.

Yeti is fine if you don’t mind it spending more time in their warranty department than underneath you.

If you’re limited to £2k then you’re missing out all the best ones; Rocky Mountain Element RSL, new Scott Spark, Blur XC, Scalpel, Epic etc.

pistachio is the bit in the woods above kinleith farm next to the rocky road. Used to be nice singletrack now a sprawl o multiple lines and muddy pits

Ah, yes. The section between the burn crossing and the road (on the way up) is especially bad. It could certainly be better drained without it necessarily being ‘dumbed down’.

Great work guys! If there was one section to chose to repair it was that one. Nice to know why it suddenly became a rutty mess, reason wasn’t that obvious when riding past.

Quite disappointed that the dates clash with races/weddings etc, but then it’s hard to avoid a race these days. Where are the rangers own repair dates published, someone mentioned they do saturdays too.

njee 20 – I know – might be stealing your idea instead of an £80 purchase for and e13 or MRP device!

MRP 1X was £35 last time I bought one.
