The dealer isn’t reluctant to MOT it. He’s reluctant to before sale…this is standard practice. They only MOT after sale so it’s not sat on the forecourt ticking down the MOT for a month or two before someone comes along to buy it. It’s not the dealers fault the seller NEEDs the car that day.

Why haven’t you raised this previously if you’ve been teeing it up for days? You should have been doing your homework on MOT history, CarVertical/HPI etc.

Given your need to drive the car away, I don’t think you’ll get much off it (maybe the MOT cost).

If I press the wifi button during startup, it turns on. Setup then detects the wifi networks but before I can select and connect it seems the ChromeOS install turns the wifi off again and I can’t re-enable with the button.

Guessing I’ll need to splash out on a laptop sooner than I’d liked :-(

No, with the sensor fitted the thread isn’t exposed, snapped about a CM into the old plastic fitting which then just slid over to remove.

New sensor friction fits through the other hole so maybe this bolt was just belt and braces.

Xiaomi Redmi phones are an absolute bargain. We normally pick up ours in some Amazon sale for about £120 but you can get quite a decent spec phone for not a lot of money. Just done the same for our daughter and got a cheap SIM from Lebara which is basically unlimited calls, texts and 15GB data for £5/MTH.  Limit set on SIM to switch off data before she hits that limit.

I’m along for the series. I’ve know you’ve struggled with it, but I couldn’t help thinking the light pod moulds weren’t identical when you held them up to camera.

There is huge amounts of waste and poor management in the NHS (well certainly the Trust I hear about from my wife). Some of the things I hear about would never happen in the corporate world in which I’ve worked. I don’t want to see it privatised but I can’t help thinking if it was it would be run a whole lot better.
