Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars and Wolf Children all by Mamoru Hosoda.
    All fantastic.

Another vote for the Troy Lee 5400 here.
They are super light/minimal but still have a hard cup over the knee, so offer loads of protection.
Very different to the new breed of soft ‘leg warmer’ type pads but not much heavier.
Previously I had 661 Evo’s which were offered great protection but were heavy and sweaty.
If you get the Troy Lees, go down a size or two, I ended up in an XS, I was a Med in the 661 :?

I ended up with a IXS Trail RS, really happy with the fit and quality.
I love the styling of the Bell Super but it just didn’t fit, medium too tight but the large was massive :(

Morale of the story, try stuff on

I stuck an SS 10mm on my Pitch, seems stiffer… could be psychological though. Definitely looks stiffer.

Picked it up cheap, with the adapters, off here.

As above, I just O-ring the lamp straight onto my lid.
Stays put and doesn’t sit too high.
Great light for the price, I use an old Hope vision on the bars as well for road/downhill bits.

I bought the RSP Plummet, less than than £80 from Tredz with a code.
Works well, pretty clunky, but goes up and down :D
Three very wet months in and it still works.
I took it apart to pop some grease in, was spotless inside, really easy to rebuild as well.
    Recommended.

If you like Aphex,Boards Of Canada- Music Has The Right To Children or anything else they’ve done.
Rhythm And Sound – Burial Mix, warmest sounding vinyl around.

Also have a PCS9, really solid, folds up neatly.
Had it a while now, it just works.

I had to wait over four months to get a refund from Scottish Power, they owed me over £400. Nothing I could do or say made any progress.
I have a hilarious trail of emails, various departments passing my case around and accidentally copying me in.
In the end I phoned Citizen’s Advice, they got Ofgen(?) on the case.
Finance Director phoned me personally and the money was back in my account within the week.
    Good Luck!

Ran up Skiddaw this morning, expecting to get rained on… and the sun came out :D
I had to have a sit down to take it all in….

I ‘fractured and displaced my Olecranon’, essentially I snapped off my funny bone :D
Had the wire / metal taken about two years after.
The metal work was causing discomfort and was quite close to skin.
About five years from break and it never bothers me, not quite full extension, surgeon advised I never would.
    Get well soon!

I have a cracked Soda sitting in the back of the wardrobe, I’ll get round to sending it to Enigma someday.
Was a lovely frame, five years of being my main bike, didn’t owe me anything really.
Definitely a lively ride, needed a bit of finesse to keep it on track.

Just ordered one, worth a punt at the price.
Cheaper than a new frame with a reverb compatible seat tube :D

Good call, my old pair are falling apart, let’s hope they last until the new pair arrive :-)

I’m also intrigued, I was looking forward to the new Rocket and really excited at the what Cy was doing…
I really hope it all ends well.

Velocity A23 rims in silver on shiny silver Ambrosio Zenith hubs look awesome and won’t break the bank.
I had a pair built by JRA about two years ago, still shiny and silky smooth after two cumbrian winters…. cartridge bearings so don’t need much upkeep.

The quick release on mine says 30 on the bottom, I bought the frame second hand and it came with. Seems to work ok.

    Great frame btw :D

I also got a cheap pair from CRC, sizing is good and they stay put.
Warmer than previous 661 Evos. They do feel more substantial though.

I like the fact you can put them on without taking off your shoes, good for big days out/hike a bike.

The Postal Service – Give Up
Soundtracked my time at university and still gets played regularly now. Not one duff track on the whole album.

Give Just Riding Along a call.
They built me some wheels for my road/tourer, three years on and they’ve hardly seen a spoke key.
Really helpful on the phone and ordered hubs in especially for me, I was only buying a mid range setup, nice to get top end service :D

Gloves that last a couple of months and then self destruct.
I’ve been through many different brands, currently very impressed with Giro DnD, nice and thin and seem durable so far.

I had a Soda which I loved, was my only bike for years.
Unfortunately it broke, I bought a steel frame, which pedals and descends better.
The Soda was prettier tho….
I don’t think I’d buy a Ti frame again, in terms of ride quality, I think good steel is not far off and you can spend the difference on better parts.
My steel frame has exactly the same parts as the Soda used to run, the weight difference is pretty small.

I’ve just read this entire thread rather than doing something useful.
I really hope it turns up, for the sanity of STW.

Course looks great, hope Redbull manage to get some decent camera locations.
Looks tricky to film… and dead easy to ride

I bought a pair a few weeks back.
Really nice shape and size, nice and thin, dead grippy.
Can’t comment on longevity yet, hoping they last as well as Nano’s…

@anus, you’re right, second is on the way to Castle Crag.
I was pretty fast down there, after riding my hardtail all winter, the Pitch feels like a downhill bike (well to me anyway…).

First photo is looking south from Walla.

@Globalti – sounds like a fantastic ride, makes a change not to have to clean the grime off the road bike, eh?

Looks fun, I do think it would look nice brown bar tape and saddle…

I’ve been toying with replacing my tourer with one of these.
Are you going to put panniers on it?

Yes, I live in Keswick, so the Borrowdale Bash is my local loop.
I need to do more riding in Scotland this year, bigger mountains :D

Awesome frame, light enough for all day rides and very flattering downhill.
I wish it would take tapered forks as I would like some of the new Pikes.

I love my Pitch, was my only mtb for a while.
Mine is Poo Brown as well, blatantly the best choice…
Not the best pic but it was an epic day out :D

I have a hardtail again now but the Pitch still gets a lot of use.
