Thanks Stevet1 appreciate the information. Not sure what happened to my post, its gone a bit weird.

I am thinking a M would be too small, weird though as the numbers are very similar to my Spicy but I note with a slacker seat angle the BB is going to be pushed forward more so the cockpit will be tighter.

The lack of parts worries me a little, it would be my first carbon frame but with how little I ride it should last awhile. I wouldn’t get a warranty with any other 2nd hand frame.

Thanks for the reply gents, useful to know! I think the earlier Coverts (2011/12) has 200×57 shocks but the 2013 has a 216×63 which is the same as my Spicy. If I am honest I am edging towards the Debonair for something different. Ive had a variety of Fox shocks and although they arnt bad out of the box they often they feel a bit lacking.

Fashion is a funny thing. I have done the ripped jeans and matching jeans to jeans jacket in my youth. I look at some of the kids these days and ask what the hell. Im not out of my twenties yet!

I was given a fancy £150 model by an ex, never had any issues with it at all.

I had 2011 Lyrik RC2DH coils for a year and they were pants. Divey, useless at any small bump compliance, not exactly stiff, under damped and the dust seals used to love sucking in dirt and dust ruining the anodising on the stanchion. They were £899 new! I sold them for a measly £175 because they were knackered.

I have replaced them with 2012 Fox 36 Tala FIT CTD Kashima’s. Sensible tool free dropouts, stiff, compliant, much better damped and thats only a few rides in. They probably were closer to £1k but I paid £300 in excellent condition.

As someone said they are only worth what someone wants to pay. Considering all the change Fox have gone through recently since their linear-gate fiasco in 2013 Id say they are doing a better job of persuading consumers and manufacturers that they are back on track. Compare Fox with Marzocchi and how long any recovery from bad decisions has been.

Police station. No worries about wrong address and it getting into the wrong hands. Police will keep it for a nominal time to allow him to pick it up if he enquires, if not it’ll be returned to DVLA for disposal or return to owner, if they can confirm his family still live there.

otsdr, you are correct! After a bit more hunting on google images it seems they should come with a ‘short’ mech hanger as standard which is the same as above. I have ordered the one above, you genius!

Thanks for all the replies gents, I have had another look at it this morning and more is arising! I have taken it all apart and put it back together but I am stumped.

The ‘B’ screw lug is definitely behind the mech hanger lug, I cannot mount it any other way (see photos below) And also I cant use the carbon protection wing that comes fitted to the frame as it interferes with the mech cage.

Mech hanger on its own, doesnt look bent or twisted.

Mech lug is sat on the mech hanger lug, cant see any other way!

As the sits in lowest gear with ‘B’ screw completely screwed in.

Carbon mech protector sits on the mech.

They are opportunists who saw the car was unlocked. Most cars either have door pins or a flashing light when its locked so you can tell its locked. 20 seconds of looking will enable them to tell. Key is not to leave anything of value inside it. So many people will, if you’re car looks like it has nothing inside theres no reason to break in and a higher risk of getting nothing out of it compared to someone who has a few cds on display, satnav mark on the windscreen and loose change lying around. The important bit is to realise they didnt target you specifically, they did no damage and they got away with relatively nothing of financial value.

Ill look out for the rear bushes, is it rear shock bushes or bushes in the linkage you mean? Easy job to replace? I think the frame owes itself to looking ‘busy’ but all the designs and colours dont help. With white fork decals I think it will look tidier. looking forward to riding it!

Comes in at a respectable 31.56lbs, lighter tyres and that would be a solid 31lbs.

I would buy a headset to fit a tapered fork then by a reducer crown. The headset will be simple enough to buy and then something like this:

    http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/nukeproof-reducer-crown-race/rp-prod92344

Which means you have everything you need to upgrade at a later date but it’ll work well for a real cheap setup.

Likewise Cane Creek or FSA are probably cheaper than Hope but not as spangly.

There are tons of weirdos online, I know, I am one! TBH she sounds like fun. Depends on your view entirely. She is single, nothing wrong with some flirting. Ultimately, its not your business until she involves you. I’ve written women off before if they are all about ‘travelling’ or every photo is them drinking or they use slang or text speak. You can see the women with baggage even in their profiles. When they have to mention no sex messages or have a clear description of who exactly they want to meet or dont have a description at all, they all ring bells for me so I just leave them.

The key to online dating is like an eBay auction: Good variety of photos (beach, night out, fancy dress, somewhere hot, etc) and an honest well written description.

    Good luck with the date!

Dumping your now missus off the back of a motorbike on a first date is pretty funny!

Thanks for all the replies, I would rather forget the incident now than go on about it to her and keep apologising! Time to ask her out for a second date.

Ive noticed it too on my S4. The typing is not so bad but the lack of deleting is frustrating. I only seem to find it happens on larger words. Ive recently cleared away my history, cache etc and it has improved things.

Yeh, you guys have hit the nail on the head. I will try and tighten the bolt gently. Its fitted to my Devinci Dixon and I never use it but I am wary that as I am trying to sell my frame its a way of dropping the price down considerably!

Thanks for all the replies gents.

Paul, Im not really sure, I cant put my finger on it. I feel very over the front but I have increased stem spacers to push me back. I have fiddled with the rear suspension and my 160mm Lyrics that are fitted but cant get comfortable with it for what I ride.

I think its more what you feel comfortable on. Comfort comes with experience and knowing whats best for you and the job at hand. Everyones going back to do it all bikes but I reckon you’d have more fun on a bike that you enjoy and is more capable and therefore may ride it harder?

You can, as it was a mk1 the top tube was two halves welded together. As the tube curves up from the headtube about 2 inches from the gusseting it cracked on the underside. I ended up selling it for sod all, wish I had got it fixed now.

If you are worried you can put washers in between the bolt and adaptor so it doesnt do it but as pointed out above its not a problem.

I cant see diesels being phased out in any less than 15 years really. Yes EGR and DPFs are issues but its because people dont drive them far enough, have the proper maintenance or use crappy fuel (has a lot to answer for)

My 10 year old BMW 320d gets 600 miles to a tank, hasnt got a dpf to worry about, drives well and as a 16v drives a lot like a petrol. My brother has an 08 plate BMW 123d (bi turbo 2L) and his tax is less than mine, smooth power delivery, relatively quiet, 58mpg+ and can be driven hard with 204bhp.

I remember hearing that VW had to drop the PD series of engine as they couldnt easily make them hit pollution regulations in parts of the world.

Ive always had good customer experience from o2 as well. I can see a better infrastructure with BT though, one of the reasons I changed years ago to them was because their signal was generally better than everyone elses. Where I use it it is generally good with solid 3g coverage except Plymouth city centre where during the day it struggles to get more than 0.01mb download or upload. Its not good enough, but 4g will improve things when it eventually comes in.

There will always be a market for cable through business use but I can see how landlines for home use will diminish. BT customer service has always left a lot to be desired from what I have seen though.

Ive seen some fitties on POF. (Note: still getting over an ex, wanted to see what potential was out there so not dated said fitties) Not to belittle their relationship but how much attention is she going to get now they are together? As they say there is no such thing as bad publicity…

I really enjoyed the first series, second series wasnt bad but missed the third. The 4th looks good though. I have recorded the series so far but not seen any yet. Certainly the most original horror series though.

One of my exs came up to me in a club and just said ‘I saw you from across the room, I think you are gorgeaus’ It worked, but she was a b**ch and it didnt last long.

You could use a negliment or a negative compliment. Like ‘your hair would look better up’ but this is for the overly confident for one nighters.

Its interesting what neilwheel said as I also have developed worse breath but didnt connect the two together.

My exczma has always been mild everywhere except my hands and I am sensitive to oil, cleaning products and Fairy liquid. I use gloves when working on my bike or car and marigolds for cleaning or washing up. Ive always used non bio and a splash of fabric softener. In the shower I use a Sanex o% shower gel but never wash my face with anything but water.

When I was in uni I rented a room in a shared house we called the dinosaur room. It was obviously a kids bedroom previously and had muriels of dinosaur landscapes with stickers of dinosaurs on the walls and a dark blue ceiling with cotton wool clouds and glow in the dark stars. Twice I lured girls in after telling them about it and using the phrase ‘do you want to see my dinosaur?’

In all honesty, nothing is more alluring than confidence in your own skin. Likewise if you can talk normally and hold a conversation thats good too. The initial start is tricky and depends where you are. Supermarket, notice something they are buying like chocolate, ask them if they have tried something similar. But body language and tone will give away more than words alone.

Thanks all, not an easy or straightforward subject at all. I have wind and skin irritation, otherwise I feel good. No acid or toilet problems. I did look into milk intolerance but according to most sites thats purely dietary symptoms. The doctor said he could refer me but diet exclusion was easier so I am going to try cutting out milk and yoghurt. I dont eat a lot of bread, maybe a loaf a month. Pasta and noodles more so. The reason I believe its dairy, more specifically milk is thats the only thing that has increased in the last 6 months.

Thanks ladies and gents, I will try a few variations. I didnt know there was lactose free milk. I also love milk but other than a bit of yoghurt I rarely eat anything dairy based. I eat a reasonable amount of bread and more pasta and noodles. My diet isnt fantastic but I dont live off junk.

Anything else it could be? Gluten or wheat intolerance perhaps? I can live with the wind to a certain degree but as my job is public facing the skin problems are frustrating.

If after 2 years of doing long hours for a low wage he does not see any benefit and its all empty promises he needs to change tact. Working hard doesnt pay off if he dosent learn from it and use it to his advantage.

Lemonysam, not at all. I am saying the difference between someone who is willing to do 50+ hours to get on and up the ladder will show compared to the person who is happy working part time for no reason. If you want to get ahead, you have to work smart and have to work hard. 50+ hours a week does not make for crappy working conditions if he enjoys who hes working with, enjoys the job and realises its not forever.

I gained a Bachelors degree 5 or 6 years ago but didnt have ideas of grandeur. Realistically, even when I graduated everyone and their cousin had a degree. If you didnt, that was almost not normal. However, I have mates who have slogged their guts out, put in their unpaid overtime and are now flourishing after 3 years of hard graft. Its not any different to jobs before degrees were the norm. Long working hours and basic wage will get better and if it dosent it shows far more about the person that has done it and put the effort in. The problem arrises when he is still doing 50+ hours for under £18k 2 years in for the same company and hasnt aimed for higher.

I have been lucky to get onto the career ladder for my dream job and it was not directly influenced by my degree although it probably looked better.

I should add that I have always been in work since I was 16. 5 years of uni I worked throughout, through one summer I did 7-6 Mon-Fri as a groundworker, then Tesco employee two evenings and 10-10 Sat and 10-4 Sun for 3 months. Hard work shouldnt be avoided and he will get a feeling fairly quickly as to whether it will be worth it.

I would say thats possibly a phone fault. If its losing signal and everyone else around you on 3 isnt complaining what are the chances its 3? Have you been into the network settings?

If not go to Settings, Networks (or More Networks) then Mobile Networks. Mobile Data needs to be on, Network Mode keep to LTE/WCDMA/GSM(auto connect) or WCDMA/GSM(auto connect) as any other option will result in either picking up 3G/H+ or E/G only.

The phone should automatically pick up the 3 mobile settings and that can be accessed through Access Point Names or APNs. It should show one or two settings and one will have a green circle to show its selected. After a factory reset this may need to be selected again to work as it goes back to basics. If those are all checked its worth getting the phone checked out.

I went out with a Boots no7 girl once. She won a top of the line Oral B electric toothbrush in a sales competition and gave it to me. I hated it, too harsh. I exchanged it at Boots (didnt need a reciept!!) for a top of the line Sonicare (£250) and love it, as much as you can love a toothbrush. That was over 2 years ago and still going strong. Id buy another.

Really weird place to go. Mojo would be the natural place, Id imagine most service centre’s have to get bits from Mojo anyway and they may offer some discount if its a fault in the metal or design.

I did mine on my right hand a few years. Again they put me in a splint for 2 weeks and then diagnosed it as a broken scaphoid. I was in cast a total of 3 months but Im glad I was. Due to lack of blood flow as mentioned above some people have ongoing problems if they are only in a cast for 6 weeks so Id keep in a cast for as long as possible. I have had zero problems since and I went to Morzine riding 3 weeks after my cast was off. Check your insurance for driving, good practice is driving with two hands on the wheel unless changing gear…
