For on the road, i find “Biketoaster” super simple to use and perfect for Garmin 800, it’s never let me down yet.

    long chain stays aren’t they?

Sefton – Yes you are not the only one to mention this, i didn’t notice at first, but my mate mentioned that it looked like it had a long wheelbase.
At least, this way there is plenty of tyre clearence, so should be ideal for cross ?

Too nice to get muddy and ruin.

No Rorschach i believe all bikes need using as intended, there’s no harm in a few war wounds, just needs a little TLC after each race.
Getting paranoid about me bars now 🙄

Absolutely belter of a race series, cheap to enter, all very low key, but fantastically well organised, proper old school type XC racing !!
When you have finished a race at Lee Quarry, you sure know about it 😳

    looks kosher to me

If he sells bikes on eBay, surely he would by the odd bit of kit ?

Fill your road tubes up with Stan’s milk = No punctures to fix in the cold rain 😆

dobo – Yes i use this combination all the time on my commute. I use conti supersonic tubes and remove the inner core and syringe one measure of Stans milk into the tube. If i puncture i loose a little pressure, but at least i’m not in the gutter at 6am on a dark, cold morning !! I guess you will be fine for cross racing …..

I use normal tyres as well with only 1 x measure of Stans, never any problems and tyres never go down. The golden rule is to scrub the inside of the tyre with a scrubbing brush and very hot soapy water, then let them dry properly …..

and i also got a extra 4% off going through Quidco…..

Oldgit – Insurance and solicitors work in strange ways, my accident was in April 2010, i had to wait till June 2011 to see a hospital consultant for a full medical, only just this week had a nice 2k payout cheque a week before Xmas 😆
    I’ll give you more information tomorrow as i’ve got a 6am 20ml commute 🙄 …..

Its great this time of year to have a few days off work and go riding, Always, always think about where you are going to leave your bike when you are in unfamiliar locations.
I did the South Downs in a day last Thursday and booked myself in Eastbourne’s Travel Lodge, third floor room and took my muddy bike up and left it in the bathroom for the night, not a problem with the staff 😆

Without doubt a Isla balance bike, it’s the best !! Look after it and when you resale it on eBay, you will only loose around £20’ish pound from the cost when new. No brainer ….. 😆
