OK, I was thinking more about investing in an f1.2 lens. Something that should last along time and looking at the B&H photo site isn’t too expensive.
Then again I don’t know what kit you already have…

Quick question… Why do you need high ISO? Is there another way to solve the problem?

Well done and good luck for the interview.

With regard to the presentation, don’t forget a presentation is verbal a really shouldn’t need visuals. Plan what you are going to say and then find the correct visual to support it, it really doesn’t matter whether it is a flip chart or not. Of all the presentations I have seen the worst have used PowerPoint while the best by a long way only used a flipchart, and I’ve seen hundreds!!

Maybe because you have so many other millions that spending only one on a car won’t damage your day to day living….

There’s a guy who competes in the Open de Madrid who rides one, I’ve seen him training in Casa de Campo on Friday lunchtimes/afternoons, it might be worth chasing him down/stalking him and having a word with him.

I always thought it was the hill at the back of Harlech Castle, sort the men from the boys.

If not here[/url] is a good source of info. Doesn’t cover everything, but is quite interesting and baised towards Spain.

It’s funny how nearly all pro cyclists have it as ventolin is a stimulant!

Maybe cos they use their lungs more than a regular Joe and are at risk of damaging the bronchial tubes, as far as I know ventolin does not give any advantage to a person who doesn’t have asthma.

I too have exercise induced asthma, taking symbicort twice a day and ventolin half an hour before a ride and maybe during the ride if the ride is long and hard. I first noticed the problem during races when I had finished and my lungs were goosed but my legs felt the same as at the start.

Strangely when I do the breath test, I tend to blow it higher than the expected level!!

Nothing to worry about too much, find a doctor who is sympathetic to atheletes and knows a bit about asthma too.

    God luck and keep riding…

I bought a Sigma EF-500 off Ebay a couple of years ago, and it was fine until until I dropped it. Dropped once, broke once at the plastic foot. Now I have a Canon 580EX-II as it has a metal foot, much more robust and a wee bit more expensive. The 430EX-II also comes with a metal foot but is out of the price range but is a bit cheaper than the 580. I also have a $35.00 slave flash, again from Ebay which is OK and works well with Canon cameras but only syncs to 1/200.

So for general use I’d go for something really cheap, the $35.00 is limited, but OK, the Sigma was a good flash but too fragile. The 580EX-II is the dog’s danglies, but expensive.

What do you wantto use it for?

here might be worth a look, very trustworthy, I’ve bought several lenses from them.

My personal favourites are Cholomondley, Cheshire and Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrecsam.

Regarding Dolgellau. I think “ll” should be pronounced in a similar way to “th” in “thought” but rather than the tongue being placed between the teeth the tip should be placed behind the lower teeth. So it is not the same sound as “th”.

The “au” should be as in “eye”, Welsh is also a phonetic language so there shouldn’t be different pronunciations from different areas in Wales.

Climbing will be easier with the 34 of the 11-34 over the 32 of the 11-32.

Up until recently I would have recommended Yahoo Smallbusiness, but now I would tell you to stay well away. All is fine until you have a problem. Poor customer service, that’s a joke try non-existent customer sevrice.

They will be losing my business as soon as I check out some of the recommendations above.

Generally credit cards are all paid at the end of the month as a rule, so no real advantage having one.
I have, however, stopped using it as a test to see if it’s possible to live without the plastic. I’ll let you know how I get on…

The key question is – obviously – whether it is still legal to shoot a Welshman from within the city walls with a bow and arrow during the hours of darkness.

With that as an option, who needs somewhere to ride a bike to have fun?

I have a feeling all the gates to the city need to be shut too, but I’m not sure.

But it sure as hell can make you nervous

Not really, but they sure can’t form grammatically correct sentances innit []

But bad spelling is ok??

    My tuppence:

I think alot sports can be expensive. €150.00 for a pair of running shoes. FFS!

€400.00 as a starting price for a canoe, without paddle, lifejacket etc.

Clmbing rope, harnesses, climbing shoes etc.

Even football with replica shirts at €100.00 or so.

Also as said before, other pastimes are equally expensive.

Snobbery in MTBing is another thing though, look at me, not my friggin’ bike, before deciding to talk to me…

that’s why nothing showed on google

Moose cycles are very much alive and kicking:

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=moose%20cycles&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

Yep, sure Moose cycles turns up at Nº1 when you put Moose Cycles in the search. As I was looking for the names of suppliers I wasn’t in a position to google specific names. Thanks for your help anyway.

Woke up and found it was snowing again, 4-5 inches yesterday and more overnight!!

Took the dog for a walk and heard the snowplough in the valley below. That meant the main (A type) road was being cleared.

Threw the chains on the car and off I went, 80km journey and arrived at work 10 mins late. So no, not working at home!!!

    What’s the problem with snow?

    Madrid BTW.

Got between 3 and 4. Just trashed the roadbike so that can’t be used, bummer! But it was used regularly.
Short travel HT is the bike of choice, light and fast.
Long travel (135mm) HT doesn’t get used that often…
In the process of building a rigid SS for use in the city and that’ll be used most days.
Different bikes for different needs, I can see room for more purchases in there, Yay!

I suppose alot depends on the lifestyle you have/want. I lived in Chester for abour 15 years and loved it, most of the time.
I was lucky as I had a house 10 mikns walk from the city centre.
Around the city you have terraced housing, Hoole/Boughton-ok or Garden Lane area-studenty. More suburban in Vicar’s Cross, Expensive in Upton.

As a small city you can be in the country in a few minutes. Further afield and you are easily in wonderful North Wales.

It’s been along time since I lived there, but there used to be a good selection of bars and restaurants.

If you’re looking outside Chester, and are not a millionaire, then some of the villages along the A55 might be worth a look, but it might be getting a bit Welsh there and you know what the Welsh are like…

Generally Chester is OK, 40mins from Manchester, 60mins from beautiful Snowdonia.

Driving is a bit krap, but hey, this is Madrid!

I guess nothing really, there is the same level of numptyness but without the agression of the UK.

Why should they? I didn’t have to retest here in Spain…

That’s irrelevant. What they choose to do is no bearing on us.

OK, so if that’s irrelevant then the OP’s question is irrelevant.

    nukeproof – Member

Why should they? I didn’t have to retest here in Spain…

I took it as read we’d being excluding other EEA nationals as there is no way Europe would let us retest them if they could show they had a valid driving licence from their EEA country.

    I don’t understand 8O

If London is the center of the universe . . .

(for the purpose of this post anyway)

Some key words from the OP “if” and “for the purpose….”

I don’t think the suggestion is that London is the centre of the universe, but it is nice to see some tolerance being displayed here. :(

Get to World’s End near Wrexham, you’ll see some real bomb holes. Apparently they set fire to the moorland during WW1 to confuse the Germans into thinking they were flying over Liverpool…
Otherwise I guess it’s a term used to decribe any hole which could have been made by a bomb.
