The fact they’ve been arrested for murder shows that somebody believes there was intent, and it’s now the role of the police to prove that intent so that the CPS will charge.

If they pull out they’ll have to start the process from the beginning, you might be moving slowly but at least you’re 6 weeks in. If they’re in a hurry to sell they’d be crazy to pull out.

Steer Assist will only kick in between certain speeds 37-87mph and when there is a high risk of a collision, perhaps it wasn’t as close as you thought

We used this situation and renegotiated. The seller is likely to have a similar problem if it goes back on the market, but if it’s your dream home don’t lose it over a few £’000

Hi – Recently got a job in basingstoke, and wondering if there’s a half decent off-road route from Chineham to Micheldever that I could follow.

    Thanks

I’ve recently read The Talent Lab which was interesting and has a chapter about how to parent a top level athlete.  I’m fairly certain the RYA provide information to the parents of the children in their youth squads

I cycle a short distance to the station, take my bike on the train, then cycle a short distance to the office.  I do it because it saves me nearly an hour a day over walking (no car).  Not sure I’m any fitter because of it, but it wakes me up a bit and I turn up in the office a bit more awake.  I bimble in so that I can cycle in my work clothes, having to get changed at the other end adds a hassle

You can use who you want, they ask you to speak to their advisor to ensure you can afford the property, the developer isn’t meant to find out how much you can afford but I’m sure they do which then helps with their negotiates.
Most estate agents will make you go through this process to ensure you’re not wasting people’s tine

If an offer is accepted the house normally comes off the market. If the seller is in a chain and keen to move they may accept a lower offer from somebody not in a chain

If it’s been on the market 8 months, open negotiations low. If you’re not embarrassed by your first offer then it’s too high.

I was a Special in the Met for 6 years until recently and its’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. The more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it, but location and attitude towards specials will also have an impact of what you get out of it.

Specialist training isn’t always available to Specials as it’s not cost effective, but you still have the potential to get involved in all sorts.

I didn’t think Pepper spray worked on dogs – or is that CS Spray?

    Totally illegal though

No need to reserve and as long as you’re not travelling out of Waterloo during rush hour (16:00 – 19:30 i think) then you shouldn’t have a problem.

I use an accountant, they helped set up my company, become vat registered. They let me know when and how much vat, tax and ni i owe. They’ll also do my year end results. I also got a good explanation of how the budget will affect me with details regarding the dividend changes. On top of that they also help with pension and finincial advice. As already said it becomes a business expense and a good accountant will always save you more than they cost.

There aren’t any good pubs around Wembley, but plenty in West Hampstead (the gallery, black lion, or Alice house) or Kilburn (North London Tavern) or Willesden Green (Queensbury) which are then just a few stops on the jubilee line. If you want to be close to Wembley then the green Man. Depending on how busy it will be the police may have allocated pubs around Wembley to each team though.

How many machines? If it’s lot System Centre Configuration Manager, if it’s just a few then you can use Group Policy to install software packages. If it’s just windows updates that you want to install you can use WSUS which is a free tool from Microsoft

On the new router ensure that it’s not acting as a dhcp server. Then as long as the two routers can communicate which you can check by pinging them. You’ll get the correct ip details from the original router.

You’ll need to update the Global Address List, then if you’re testing internally make sure that you’ve downloaded the latest version

I use one, and have done for 18 months now. The important thing is to find a PT that you get along with, understands your goals and actually knows what they are talking about.

If you find an independent PT then you won’t necessarily need a gym membership. I can recommend a couple in London if people are interested

That’s what I was going to ask, don’t they dress the same as normal PCs? Not like PCSOs who’ve got loads of blue on their kit?

In the Met they have SC crowns on their epaulettes, and their name badge will have ‘msc’ on it, the rest of the uniform is exactly the same, other forces don’t make any distinction When dealing with the public, I identify myself as a police officer, not as a special

I’ve been a special for nearly 3 years now, and as already mentioned I couldn’t recommend it highly enough, even if you don’t want to do it full time, I love it. Helping to police the olympics was a recent highlight.
I know the Met do the majority of their recruitment from specials and PCSO’s (the exception being the recent graduate scheme recruitment), and a lot of other forces are now doing this as well.
In terms of time it doesn’t really impact on my life as I organise my shifts around my life, but I’ve had to deal with incidents and people that I would never normally come across, and that has impacted how

Look for somewhere on a bus route to kensal rather than the overground line. Willesden Green is ok and probably cheaper than Kensal Green or Kensal Rise its self. Also if you’re on twitter send a tweet to @RiseGuide, he might help you find somewhere specific to live.

I really like the area around kensal

Good call on the specials. Hadn’t really thought about that.

1111 – What sort of hours do you have to put in? It could be difficult juggling the full time job / being in call / family etc..

    its 4 hours a week 16 hours a month. 2 8 hour shifts.

im still in the paper sift process ATM and looking for my day 1 interview soon

I’ve been a special for about a year now and love it. You can fit the hours in around your lifestyle. It’s the only way into the Met now and I have no doubt that other forces will follow suit so now is a perfect time to start doing.

I live in Willesden Green, West Hampstead is a great place to live.

If you’re on twitter follow @whampstead for everything local, he organises loads of local events, it’s a great way to meet local people.

If you move to the area and don’t know anyone give me a shout and i’ll buy you a beer
