Just back from the FOS yesterday evening, we took an extended trip back to Ayrshire as we took the mbikes. Now suffering from flat twin vibration hand issues. Had a great time at the festival.

We were talking to a guy at the AA stand about the 1948 landie, now curious if that was one of you?

    worth asking the question Spooky.
To be fair to the honda garage, they took pictures and submitted the request to Honda.
I think the new seal was Sub £30quid. Edit – it was £22 from Honda. The respray (the roof, bonnet, 2 doors – fixing stone chips) was £600 mates rates.

The resealing of the roof gutter lap joint he did himself.

Our civic hasn’t been without its problems.

2006 1.8 petrol. Rubber seal at the top of the windscreen pre 2011 is made of too hard a rubber. Rubs away at the roof edge. Eventually rusts. Covered under warranty for 6 years. So it was well out when discovered. “well known” issue apparantly. Lots on civinfo about it.

Roof gutters can leak and channel water in to the deepest depths of the boot, without soaking the interior or boot lining. Discovered by accident when 3 inches had accumulated.

I was always a labour voter, quite franky Scottish labour weren’t worthy of my vote so it went to the SNP.

It wasn’t even close in my area, “safe” labour area post ravenscraig. SNP candidate got nearly double the labour vote.

Just booked Hotel Tiffany for June. Nothng is cheap in Copenhagen.
They have a novel approach to brekkie, everything is in the room, they deliver fresh rolls each morning, dont even need to get up and dressed.

I lived in Copenhagen in 1999, looking forward to going back.

Even if Scotland had united behind the Labour party it would once again have made no difference whatsoever. So really England voted for a Tory government and we all got one.

No. We watched them just to get “rid” of them.

The 3rd is marginally better. You will decide to do a time check, and disappointingly you will still have an hour of walking to go…… Sweary word. Sweary word.

Really enjoyed the first two episodes. Always did like the character of Saul so it’s good to see his back story develop. I like how they are weaving in Breaking Bad elements too.

I started as a checkout lass in a supermarket at 18 (first months wage was £94),then bakery/deli assistant and shelf stacker. Great times. Thinking back I think everyone under 20 was nursing a hangover most Saturday shifts. Great times with a great bunch!

I needed to do s factory reset on my nexus 5 after lollipop install, and it started switching itself off and took an age to switch back on.

Not as bad as it sounds, I lost nothing. I did export contacts first just in case. Phone is back to being as good as it was.

We part time live together either at his or mine. I gave up trying to keep his house tidy. I’m not his housekeeper. I take a turn doing the dishes etc at his. He seems oblivious to the fact we take turns, it just appears to him that sometimes they dont get done…..
He doesn’t get that if you tidy as you go it not as bad as job, it you wait weeks on end its a nightmare, but his choice.

I slid on ice last year, arched over my back and winded myself when I landed. As many folk drove around me when I couldn’t quite get up, to get into work – my work! (gits). A lady who witnessed me hitting the deck did check I was ok, as did a passing cycling when I eventually got up and pushed the bike into work. They aren’t all bad at least.

I picked one up for his Christmas, reduced from 120 to 40. At 40quid, worth a punt. Tried it last night, seemed to push air out to the hall, but need to try it for a few more days.

Got him a moisture meter as well, seems we have been burning wood with too high aa moisture content.

    Good luck at the docs.

I had a bad bout of labyrinthitis last year, lasted for a period of 6 weeks, then I slowly got back on my feet, took a few months to feel totally right.

No hearing loss, but made for a fabulous diet as it brought on motion sickness in me whenever i moved my head. The only time I felt ok, was when I was in a moving car (I wasn’t allowed to drive myself for obvious reasons)

Was at the athletics early session yesterday, loved every second. The crowd got behind every competitor. Have to say the organisation was brilliant, everything ran smoothly. Feared the worst as we joined a massive line snaking from Mount Florida train station to Hampden, but it all kept moving forward, even the airport security checks didn’t cause a massive bottleneck.

Afterwards we headed to George square and onto the festival in the Merchant city, have to say hats off to Glasgow, I think they have more than pulled this one off.

Just seen the documentary Tim’s Vermeer, fascinating, thought the guy Tim was thoroughly likeable, a little bit mad in a good way.

My 1.6 d Volvo is sitting on 98k, 75 of them mine. Egr replaced under warranty a month after I got it. Dpf removed 2 years ago( still passes mot) I’ve not seen the issues I’ve often read about. Now that I’ve given it the kiss of death I shall start saving for the replacement.

I had a Audi 1.9d plenty of trouble with that but not half as much bother as the Audi 2.0 litre petrol that followed it. Once it was 5 it spent more time in the garage than on the road. Wee Indy garage man told me to get shot of it.

I have no luck with cars it seems.

I would agree that you must be ticking most boxes already. I wouldn’t necessarily advise undetaking a cad course yourself. Depends on what industry you fancy what one is flavour of the month.
I currently use Catia V5 (aerospace)
    have used Foran (ships)
    Unigraphics (engines)
If you need any of these your employer should provide access to training courses/ on the job material.
