Doctors crash just as much but they can fix themselves afterwards thus under representing their incompetence behind the wheel.

I think peak flow is best considered like weighing yourself on a cheap set of scales, you know the number wont be correct but if you keep everything else constant then if the numbers go up and down then they mean something.

I guess I have a “good” technique as the last result at the doctors was 780 which was a nice surprise but my ride to work this morning was a painfully plodding 13.4mph that probably better reflects my fitness level.

Each Led takes about 10 Watts (3A*3.2v)
    3 leds take 30watts
    LED driver 90% efficient
    Battery needs to deliver 33watts

    4*18650 cells 2200mAh
2.2Ah*3.6v*4 = 31 watt hours in battery pack (in ideal conditions)

so 40 mins on Max at best

And check in your deeds as it may state how wide the path needs to be, ours should (we assume) say 4 foot but says 4 meters – that could start a really interesting argument.

I read it differently to WW and it sounds a bit like what we have.

I have to provide access along the end of our garden for next door to get get into their garden by walking along the far end of all the gardens.

So we have the fence at the end of our property which would normally be our back fence but we have a second fence three foot short of the end of the garden to make a corridor for access rather them walking through our garden.
Others in the row dont bother with this fence and just have gates in their side fences so someone walking along the back would have full access to the whole garden IYSWIM

I had forgotten about the anti-intervention stuff.

The course could have done with a bit that covered what happens if you dont have a “perfect” birth. as what actually happened to us bore not relation to what we covered in class.

You will be the one stuck at home getting cabin fever – the friends you make at NCT can be invaluable.

Or as happened to us, the group might just not gel, some people go straight back to work full time, move away or what ever and it was always more effort than reward trying to get the group together. After hosting the first and second birthdays for the whole group at our house we declined to offer for a third time.

As it happens Mrs Nut is going for a drink tonight with some girls from the NHS antenatal class.

Having said that I would still go to the NCT one as the majority of people appear to get some good friends out of it.

I did 3 days of 100 miles on an MTB with slicks but at a lower pace.
I put a medium road block on the back 12-27 I think but regret not getting a bigger big ring. I did not actually run out of gears but with a tailwind I got more tired than the road bikes as I had to spin the gear when I just wanted to gently lean on a big gear.
a 48 tooth would have fixed it I think

Except the Garmin 200 does not allow you to add HRM and Speed / Cadence at a later date like you can will all the other garmins.

Dont know about the equivalent functionality of the Bryton

It’s going to be tricky getting that onto the head tube as the top headset cup is so close to the top tube and the join is smoothed makes it worse.
That said I have fixed mine entirely around the headset tube . you may be able to fix it round the bottom bit of the headset cup?

I put a similar percentage in a pension. For historical reasons I do have a second little personal pension that gets 1% of gross or something like that.
The reason I have not rolled that contribution into the work pension is that my employer will not add any more to it so I might just as well put it with another pension company to spread the risk a little bit.
The thing with money in a pension is that you cannot get at it for a very long time, putting savings in an offset mortgage provides a zero risk rate of return that his hard to beat.

The Exposure lights look really good from a daylight visibility point of view (excuse the pun)

I would get the rechargable pack as you can use either battery in the same light. Use disposables for the long run time for the long ride, then use the rechargables after she has finished the ride and does not need a long continuous runtime.

Probably not the correct time to bring it up but it is possible to take payment in-lieu of notice for your three months notice period pay to be rolled into your ex-Gracia (sp?) payment which would make it tax free.
It turned my fairly dismal settlement into a tolerable one.

The benefit for you is you get three months pay tax free as a lump sum, and the company avoids their national insurance contributions.

Perhaps more important if the company is wanting to shut down and re-open they may be able to do that more quickly if they can get rid of you earlier.

Dead premium strap here also
I think I got 6 months use out of it with the rest in a dry dark place.

Back to the old nasty one – but it works

You might try your local model engineering club, there may be a friendly grandad with time on his hands. Time taken to set up these jobs is the real killer, and the special tools that you find you need to buy, to do just once
I would be a lot better off if I had just bought the nicest lupine light I could find compared to the cost of buying lathe and tooling.

If it is just light bodies you want to do then I suggest that converting something existing would be much better use of time.

sorry if that sounds negative

Biggest benefit for me was that the GPS knows you are still moving if it looses the satelite for a few seconds.
Without the speed sensor cycling under a bridge causes the speed to drop to zero then spike to 50mph as you magically appear on the other side of the bridge.
Weather I have the wheel size entered or the GPS set to auto the speed still is less stable than the wired cateye but the end of ride distances match pretty well

Can you get a close-up of the the top tube break. The crack appears to go right through the weld /HAZ. That would be a far more plausible origin.

When exporting from Garmin Connect to Strava using a GPX file, do the segments come up?

I have a couple but is has refused to recognise the segments that I plainly ride through.

There is an engineering shop on the Lansbury Estate, 102 Lower Guildford Road Knaphill

they have some big CNC stuff so the job may be too small for them – or more then you are prepared to pay.

I tried to get through to them a few days ago and just got 404.

I think it is just an internet issue and assume that has taken his emails out also.

I doubt he has stopped trading as he (used to have) a 9-5 job also.
He also had significant stock which I am sure he would have sold off.

I was also looking for some more info on the b3flex

Do nothing – stop trying to contact them.
You believe you have correctly cancelled your contract.
You have not been contacted by them.

Until they contact you there is not really a situation to deal with.

I saw someone at the weekend with an electronic buzzer and the pedestrians were looking around to see if there was a car alarm going off :-) No one associated it with a bike – they nearly sh8t when the bloke on the bike spoke.

    Pacsafe pouch
Useful for putting your stuff in when locking it in one of those hotel/hostel safes – as of course the manager has the key
or tie it round the bedframe and under the mattress etc.

A little AA battery torch from dealextreme

Is she doing something special out there? 5 months is a long time to be just in cambodia.

You can take a waterproof camera in a public swimming pool if you sign the “I am not a Peado I promise” register, but not allowed to film underwater.
Was trying to get a Nirvana style underwater swimming baby shot of my kid but we failed mostly because I was too good at floating.

You could try your local Scuba club – most privately hire a pool for an hour a week for training (usually late on a week night).
One of the members of our club regularly takes in a full SLR with strobes on tripods. I imagine a go-pro on the pool bottom would be no-problem.
The pool we use is Hammersmith, but I think you are up north

And sorry Hugh but we need metric lead pipe experience the old pipe will have been imperial

If you go for the orange one – it really is a nasty orange.
If you like the offshore worker / postman HiViz look then fine.
The red of the Evo jacket is a bit more normal.

If you are talking about the bike-components.de ones then the right hand mmx ones sit above the bar on the right (or below on the left)
The MMX bit just un-bolts to leave a std handlebar clamp.

    Remove calipers from hoses
    Swap calipers over
do it all up again :-)

I.S. mounts on the frame/forks are a different distance from the axle front to rear, ie the hope number 5 (i think) caliper needs a 180mm rotor on front and 160 on the back.
If you have rotors the same size then you will have one caliper number 3 and one caliper number 5 (or something like that – check inside the mounting legs and the number is usually machined in there.

Q1 If by “yank the diode out” you mean use a single LED DealExtreme type head unit in place of the “LED 1 headlight” then yes, that is exactly what is intended. (after removing all electronics from head unit.)

Q2 The other mods should work just fine also

Q3 Adding LEDs should be done in series – circuit 7 is optimised for this – I guess it may work on the other ciruits but will not be optimal

Q3a All LED lights should be current controlled there is a constant current circuit in the DX headlight. This circuit must of course be removed.

I think you could do what you want but getting the dynamo hub to power two separate head units one of each beam type. Only one unit runs at a time and the power is fed to the head unit with a toggle switch, flick it one side to power one and the other way to swap lights.
However there will be a momentary period where no LED is powered and this may create a big spike of power on re-connection to the new head unit, this may be huge problem or insignificant – I dont know

Surely more productive to shut down next door :-)

If it is a water level float valve fluttering it might not do so if there was a restriction to the flow in the feed. You may find your shut off valve in the street.

Thanks all for suggestions so far

Its true that with a 3 month old kid at the time I was the only one in the group who felt better as the days went on as I was getting so much un-interupted sleep :-)

Also too much time with work colleagues a fair point, some are a good laugh, I was riding in Peaslake with a couple of them yesterday – BUT…

Olympic road course could work but is a little too normal will have a look at the tour of flanders.

    Cheers

Hair dryer also softens the glue and appears to make it easier to work the bubbles out the edges.
