The lager not too bad, pretty happy with the beers at £20 deffo not worth full price.
In fact the box must be worth a few quid on its own 😉

Seems reasonable, I’ve stuck to a two bike rule for the past few
Years. If it’s not worth anything to you get rid of it before it ends up totally worthless.
If you want a full suss sell the wheels fork and frame for what you can get.

Dunno what the 26 market is like but I’ve sold 8 and 9 speed stuff for almost the same as original rrp on ebay. If the parts have a market they will get a good price. If not either keep or take a loss and get rid of.

Very impressed with my £1350 vitus escarpe that ticks all your boxes. Not sure bout sizes though.

My £1350 vitus escarpe is the best full suss I have ridden but a wee bit lardy. You could get the higher spec 11 spr model a couple of holidays and still be cheaper than quite a few similar bikes.

If you can find the documentary about the Finnish nuclear depository and the thoughts about keeping people away from it for the next 150000+ yrs that is a great watch.
Also the c4 doc about the nuclear Boy Scout is an amazing story but the it seems to have almost disappeared recently.

Links would be much appreciated .

Would love to leave mine out but the recent theft of 2 Russell’s like ours from a farm a mile or so from here has left me a bit paranoid.
Makes me sick to think what happens to a lot of stolen dogs:(

7927 mint leafs in a bottle. Reading that the other day in the shower made my balls tingle with rage.

Done it about 5-6yrs ago in May had to push my bike through big snowdrifts at higher levels in shorts and t shirt then spent a great night camping and drinking whiskey and nursing my sunburn at the top of the dam lower down.
Went over again as part of the c2c 2yrs ago in July and had a very hard time in gale force winds and near zero vis half way up. Almost hypothermia by the time I reached the bothy at the other side and managed to dry out and warm up.
It is a big hill with no worthwhile payoff other than it is big and you can cycle up it. The route has some nice views and a few meters of exciting track but nothing else. took the old route I think the pylon road would be better to take now if you just want to get over as quick as possible.

According to Flight plan up there ^ it’s passing by Melrose about 14:10-14:15 I’ll be up one of the eildons hoping for a good view.

The flight plan has it passing my house if it sticks to a dead straight line between places. Even with the slight chance of it being low I’ll be waiting on a local hilltop tomorrow afternoon

What’s he got to say about fatbikes?

To use the funicular to bike the hill you must be guided and use the bikes they provide. No thanks.

I would suggest having a look at something else, it takes you through some great scenery but the riding is not that much fun. The cairngorm loop Blair athol – rothiemurchus – brae mar has great riding done in about 2.5 days or maybe start in crainlarich take west highland way to fort William then head over corriack to Cairngorms for a longer trip. Both easily done using trains.

Think most of the hate is from the trail gods that will have spent 4-5 grand on an boutique bike and are upset they might get passed by a biffer on a cheaper bike with a motor. Add fatbike to ebike you get the perfect recipe to wind these people up.

Alpkit extra drybag and a couple of decent strap is the best for carrying on bars I have tried. The relevate option is not very good and costs a lot. And It took over 3 months for delivery:( waste of time IMO.

I know when I hit “it’s a wonderful life” to reach for help or try to change my lifestyle.
In those times the story is twisted round 180 and I am being shown how everyone’s life would be better off if I had never existed.

Never that far away from the bottom but I have never been happier than now working part time being in debt with no prospects. Who knows how the mind works?

Sorry but that is a poor cover of an amazing song.

Prefer the film maybe I need to watch some episodes again, could have sworn it had canned laughter on BBC was an awful long time ago though.

or rely on that witch from the north to float your boat..

In the interest of balance “or just rely on the rich dicks from the south to promise something to the poor then poo all over them 2 minutes after they get in”

Ed keeps banging the “evil tories privatising the nhs” drum so why not commit to ending all the private contracts and returning them to public sector ?

The key word is “contract” it would cost huge amounts in penalties to end anything early.

I find all these “opinions” distasteful.
There were probably Brits on that plane, their families or friends could end up reading this thread. Can you not find some other way of satisfying your engineering/aeronautical/know-it-all egos?

Let’s hope they don’t have any access to TV radio or newspapers then.

Or just wear a flight helmet and mask all the time like the RAF heavy pilots. Then again, the airline pilots would mess up their hair up.

I’ve Never seen any Hercules or c-17 pilots with helmet and mask for routine flight.(I’m only a plane geek no actual experience)

The plane in question had a routine service yesterday, in the Greek crash I remember it just having been serviced but some problem with a valve in the tail was missed/introduced.

It’s a shame clarkson already leaked the news several times in his paper columns. And at that charidee doo last week.
All three of them out of contract I’m guessing it’s the end even if the beeb manage to find some petrol head dreamteam it won’t last on telly.
Think this could be a winner for Netflix with a new car based prog featuring 3 middle aged men. It will also stop the many asshats complaining in here that they managed to watch a prog they detest every Sunday night.

Exped synmat user for a few years worth every penny. Cost twice as much as my sleeping bag but wouldn’t have it the other way round. You don’t need any extra insulation it’s warm down to freezing. The heavier ones are good to -25 I think.
If I was car camping I would buy one of the heavier exped mattress.

Remember don’t inflate any mattress with your mouth it gets mildew inside (like my synmat) so buy the pillow pump/dry bag thingy as well if it’s not self inflating or has internal pump.

Funny to hear the comments about his horrible comments on various races and countries then suggesting your dream fwap list of women to front a new cars and babes show.

And yes it is the same old stunts but with the new shiney version from this year just like cycling. And this forum.

I wish the adventure show the best of luck but it is generally a bit pish. Mostly focusing on one only slightly interesting thing for far too long.
The one show generally has more “adventure” in it.

Good to see the puffer and put a few faces to names though.

I also see them being perfect for commuting and casual xc rides, coffee tours, but surely no serious trail xc rider would use them unless it’s a very Enduro thing focussed on descents.

I don’t think I have ever been on a serious xc trail ride. Sounds fun.

Would like to try one and wouldn’t rule out owning one when the tech matures a bit more. Riding more trails in the available time what’s not to like

I have been called paranoid and labelled a tin foil hat wearer for years. Same people now say snowden is a traitor and deserves everything he gets. Why does no one have a problem with the inescapable survailence of innocent people?
Funny how the post is now the most secure form of communication.

I would avoid the defrosters, rubber on sole is harder than diamond making them dodgy on frozen ground or wet rock and the boot has no actual insulation. Keep my feet dry though.

Bags where full of Xmas detritus obviously didn’t have room in their bins and wanted it gone. Taken photos of the letter it is something quite personal from hospital about one of her kids so I took that as pretty good proof. The even more galling thing is that they drove past the bank of wheelie bins at the bottom of he drive to dump it next to houses.
Slightly expecting some idiot that likes fighting to turn up.

She was at the window wathching me as I walked up her path, when she opened the window I asked if she knew X. Who wants to know was the answer and when I showed the letter she started shouting that it’s not her. When asked if she had any id she disappeared after threatening to call the cops.
