If you can swing an extra non executive directorship or two, that would easily make up the difference.

My son has a vintage moped which has spent more time in pieces than on the road. Honda PA50 Camino. Great fun and he’s learnt loads. He’s now bought (having earned all the money himself) a 125 to tour Europe in the summer.

Last year 1 cubic metre bag kiln dried Beech firewood (inner Bristol roadside delivery only) – approx 280 logs × 1 £145

This year they want £230 for the same. Using up the last of last years first before I think of what to do..

    York should be near Bristol.
But that’s only because I have to drive there for work next week.

I’ve bought a 35m cable and will see how it goes. The run externally is 1m off the ground and will be zip tied to the power cable. I may swop to a wall socket  so the feed could be shared if need be.

The engineering degree at Southampton has the same first 2 years for everyone, and you specialize in the 3rd / 4th year. But I think Civils is a separate course.

my son is looking at Bath Uni for automotive as well, but entrance is A A A#!

All tv packages cancelled. Will do the odd one month as and when there is something new to watch.

Mobiles all (4) swopped to Lebara.

Internet Virgin dumped to BT (and now on land line needed). That saved £35/month alone.

£10/month for spotify, which may have its days numbered.

I’m 55 and got a dog. Weekend trail runs are at her pace – squirrel! – and focusing on the pleasure of trotting along somewhere nice. My brother is a very competitive runner (Vets international level) but doesn’t seem to enjoy his running more than me.

I’m still clinging onto my legacy 3 contract for this reason.

Lebara are still doing free EU roaming. Sim only and use Vodafone network. Very easy to extend data allowance for just a month in needed.

How do roadies survive British roads? I brought my road bike back from Spain where I use 22mm tyres. I tried to commute on it but the roads are in a shocking state. Currently pricing up a gravel bike.

    https://www.staall.com/uk/product/info/229639/knauf-space-blanket-encapsulation-loft-roll-insulation–200mm-x-370mm-x-4m

I used the pre-bagged rolls of insulation. Crawled into void and wedged insulation between joists from beneath. Then stapled it into place.

Horrible, horrible job with full PPE.

I need to do the living room now but looking at a 40mm multi foil. Will staple it to the bottom of the joists to create seal. I now get a discount through work and really not looking forward to it..

How much will he be driving once pasted. I insure my son (still learning) by the day. Usually about £10 for 24 hrs.

    Maybe a cheaper option?

ASHPs generate a significant amount of noise. This has a bigger effect than people realise.

Not true. Just installed 75 mitsubishi ashp’s in a scheme in Bristol. Kneeling down right next to them I could hardly hear them run. Quieter than a gas boiler running..

Thanks for all the advice and support.

The hardest thing is that she seems a bit lost. She’s happy in the garden and still loves exploring the back lane (fox smells etc), but is very restless. Normally by 5 she waiting on the sofa some someone to join her, now she wanders from the kitchen to the garden to upstairs, all a bit lost.

Maybe she just needs a bit of time to readjust.

If Kemi is so anti-woke what was she doing at the equalities ministry? As she’s for small government she’ll want to get rid of it?
