I’d say flush as you can. The edger is to stop the pavers moving.

Eldest got his results this morning – AAA – and he’s off to Southampton to do automotive engineering. It’ll be perfect for him – he’s spent the summer riding his Honda CG125 7000km’s around Europe – Le Mans Classic, Hungarian GP, car and bike museums and alpine passes.

The advice I got (and followed) for a similar commute was to go 2x rather than the Trig’s 1x. Makes the road sections easier. I have a Vitus Substance vr2.

I was assistant warden at Eyam in about 91. The decor is still the same as when I was there (and it was dated even then)..

Le Man Classic this weekend. My son is heading there on his Honda CG125. This time last night we were still trying to fix his front brake (all a bit stressful). Then he heads to Italy, Croatia, Hungary (for the F1), Czech Rep (for the Superbike), Germany, France and finishes just outside Bilbao (for the boat home).

We paid £180 last year for the AHC and jab. Brexit bonus..

Luckily Beti has a EU passport and we managed to get her shots in Spain and passport updated.

Tunnel is a great way to get a dog to Europe. We don’t insure as the Spanish vets cost a fraction of the ones here (x ray was 80 euro).

So she made a pitch to be next the PM and then all this comes out. Makes you think eh?

    Or not.

Our Beti gets a yearly rabies jab in Spain and has a Hungarian passport. Last year we messed up the timing and had to pay £180 for the certificates.

    F@@k Brexit.

If anyone see fluoxetine (prozac) 10 mg at at decent price please let me know. For the dog..

My vet wanted £170 for 60.  20mg ones are super cheap but not use.

I have a pair of Adidas FWD-01which I think are great for the money (I paid £23). Comfortable and never fall out even on sweaty runs.

Thanks hammerrite. I may well tap you up for some local knowledge.

It was a trip within a trip so need to get back to the rest of the family.

I’m still trying to understand what half of the comments above mean.

The wheels will be for my road bike in Spain (well Basque Country). It’s an Orbed Avant and now I’ve resprayed it the white Superstar wheels look a bit strange. They have lasted well and are lightish.

My favourite local road soon to be used for the Tour..

I love that Sue Grey may have a new job.

Don’t the Torries realize that ‘you have nothing to fear if you’ve done nothing wrong’. They say it often enough.

I’ve just run a 35m cable from the BT box in the living room to the office in the garden. Faceplate fitted on wall in office using £2 tool.

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/133777166534

The cable came with plugs on both ends but I cut one off as it made getting through holes easier.

    Soo much better than before.

I got a Vitus for £1050 in the sale. I wanted Shimano gears, hydros and 2x. Very pleased.

I now have a beard and can’t use the automatic passport control. Means I end up in a different queue to the rest of the family.

I am mildly curious as to why the continental herding dogs tend to be more suited for security work

Wolves and bears? Don’t the dogs often get left with the flock up on the mountain?

Water feed under the house has frozen. Just bought a cheap fan heater to stick under the floor to unfreeze it before insulating it. Looking forward to damp and not so cold this weekend.

I’ve just bought a Vitus Substance.

    https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/vitus-substance-vr-2-gravel-bike-grx-400-/rp-prod206120

I wanted Shimano gears and 2x as it’s for crappy roads and light gravel. DT wheels come taped for tubeless but supplied tyres aren’t tubeless.

    Sorted. Found the cut-off connector and it’s a B.

Now getting 138.1Mbps download in the garage. Yip Yip.

So I bought a cable and have run it from the front of the house all the way to the garage / office. I left the connector on the one end to plug straight into the BT box. The other I cut off as it was  much easer for poking the smaller cable through various holes. The office end I have a wall mounted outlet.

EXCEPT  now find there is two different standard – T568A and T568B – can anyone tell me which my cable is?

Mmm my bosses Kuga needed a new engine due to a coolant issue. Seems quite a coincidence..

His was only just out of warranty and it cost loads.
