Yeah, it may seem like I grossly missed the point of the programme by asking what backpack he was using.

Thing is i enjoy watching programmes like this, it opens my sometimes closed mind to the rest of the world and that can only be a good thing. i enjoyed what he did in LWD and LWR as it wasn’t all about 2 rich guys playing on motorbikes.

Seems crazy to me that we need orginisations like Unicef doing the work that givernments should be doing for their people but then it does seem that the world is hell bent on becoming more and more selfish by the day.(yes, im sure that seems rich coming from the guy asking about the backpack)

Jeebus, this place never ceases to amaze. People felt compelled to give some money after a young woman dies trying to raise some money for charity, only this forum could somehow turn it into a moaning fest about people giving money to charity.

I’ve got a 1tb Tivo box coming next Tuesday, got to be better than my Sky+HD box – “yes Anytime + is working……for 5 minutes, then we’ll switch it off, and while we’re at it we’ll try to miss the start/ending of every programme you record till the end of time”

Helmets for motorcyclists are compulsory, but not for cyclists as yet.

And it’ll come, it’ll all get to a head then all of a sudden helmets will be compulsary, insurance if you cycle on the road, number plates and a bike MOT every year.

I’m sure they have the same arguments on car forums, trouble is no-one wants to take any responsibility for themselves so it becomes a battle of the fittest and when ego’s get involved someone gets hurt, usually the cyclist because they’re not surrounded by 2 tons of steel. But then *shock horror* sometimes cyclists are to blame for their own accidents, i see it every day driving in to work. There’s blame on all sides.

I pay for 10mb, I get somewhere between 7.9 and 9.8 depending on the time of day, and I’ve just upgraded to 60mb so we’ll see

It’s the most stable broadband I’ve ever had

Ok, I posted an earlier comment regarding the compulsory wearing of cycles helmets and got some shady responses to that……why? pretty much every person on here goes out on a bike wearing a helmet whether that be on road or off road, but according to the responses there’s no point, so why bother looking like a bell end if you don’t have to?

This case the guy smacked his head off the road, first point of contact was his head, surely then a helmet may have saved his life……no?

Christ no one with any sense would think of taking a motorbike on the roads without a helmet so why leave it at home just because you don’t have an engine, all the other dangers are there just the same.

shoot me, but they need to make the wearing of helmets compulsory

Doesn’t excuse the fact that it should have been ruled death by dangerous or careless driving

dogbert seems to think that everyone pretty much got the message

In a matter of days the video they posted had well over 50 million views on You Tube, within hours of that a less moral side of the charity is exposed regarding how much money was actually going towards removing a mentalist that hadn’t lived anywhere near the country for 6 years. Questions were being asked and the more digging that was done the more likely it became that it was a right load of old crap – cut to **** in the street

They went from viral sensation only doing good for the poor children to bunch of crooks

Best (without a doubt) this exact gig

Second Best – Eels 21/07/2000, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, front row center, doesn’t get much better than that

Honourable mentions – Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Thrum, Pearl Jam and Bladdered (an unheard of covers band made up of guys in their late thirties early 40’s, played an hour and a half of punk covers, fantastic)

Worst – Counting Crows 16/02/2000, christ that was hard work

nice, a few spelling mistakes and I would maybe center the menu at the top, other than that, very nice.

I like your photos too, very professional. I had a look at someones photos supposedly done by a pro photographer for their wedding the other day……..bloody awful, a group photo taken at a dreadful angle. Lots of B&W photos but the bouquet was in colour, made the bride look ill, but my favourite was the bride and bridesmaids had their pic taken on a chez long (spelling) but the focal point seemed to be a gas radiator and lots of rubbish and strange things just lying around like dress bags and coat hangers.

Once again the Big Hitters flounce in to ruin what could have been an interesting thread rather than the usual hair pulling handbag slinging nonsense it becomes.

A lot of mountain bikes getting dusty in garages

Iron Maiden with Anthrax giving a much better support performance 1990-91 ish

I saw them also, Edinburgh, fantastic gig

my first was this tour (seems that most of STW’s first gig was the mighty Maiden)

OK, so your in a dark room, a single flickering light bulb creates more shadows than it dispels, tied to a solitary chair in the centre of the room, head covered with a black cloth hiding his face, is a sobbing terrified man, he could be anyone, another man, in a military uniform, hands you a gun tells you he is a killer, asks you to shoot him in the head.

    Would you?

I too enjoyed the Bourne Ultimatum

    Jupiters Travels always gets recommended

Louis Pryce seems to get good reviews

I am just getting back to finishing this, I stopped reading it after a couple of chapters, he seemed to tail of a moan a bit, but then I realised that I do too so probably have more in common with him than I thought

Guns n’ Roses, the band that became so overblown and believing their own hype they pushed me away from the hair metal music and towards something a little more stripped down and gratifying

Do a search over on Middle Age Shred, there was a post on there from a guy looking for all things H-street.

Also have a look on Skate and Annoy, there’s an e-bay watch section and some of the prices original decks go for is frightening.

Would be interested in seeing pics of this board though

    ok, so compare these two:

Sram x7 groupset, Recons with lockout, Avid Elixers – £500

same brakes, similar forks, similar groupset, only difference is maybe the frame – £1000

    option 1 plus say an on-one frame = £700

It’s bollock all to do with volume, its how the companies value their brand. You can put a sticker on a bike saying “hand built” but in reality it probably means “hand assembled”. At the rate that people on here go through expensive components compared to mid priced components (dropper seatposts, very few people seem to have one that works according to this forum) it scares me that people are so easily led by super expensive tat.

But then every hobby seems to suffer from that

I enjoy this, It gives me some great ideas when I finally get off my backside and cook something. The challenges are fun but I’m more interested in the eateries and it’s nice to see a programme that isn’t all about poncy food or ingredients that can only be found by scaling the north side of K2.

Earlier this week when we had the day of snow (about 1″ in Hebden), it appeared that everyone my wife knows on FB posted a crappy poor res picture of their back garden, with the obligatory 1″ of snow, with the album headed “snow!!!!!”….

Everyone is a reviewer of life now, pics have to be posted, opinions have to be given.

At work yesterday it was quiet and we were having a discussion. The office drama queen took offence to what everyone was saying, but decided to have a 5 tweet rant about me calling me this and that but only posted what she thought she heard so her twitter mates would pander to her. Wouldn’t be so bad if she hadn’t completely missed the point, It’s also funny because she thinks she’s totally anonymous.

Kinda the problem now, peoples brain filters were removed with the invention of social networking.

when you say four scripts, are you writing them in SSMS and then running them? or are you importing files?

    Yes

I don’t see why you couldn’t just stick them in the same file sequentially in the order that you want them to run, just whack “GO” between each script and it should definitely work… That’s how we script out creating tables etc… where objects later in the script depend on ones earlier.

Thats what I thought, but aparantley I’m too thick to know this myself so I’ve been tasked to find out, so I’m taking the cheating method and asking the hive mind…….office politics, don’t you love it

we’re writing scripts to set up databases in SQL for sofware we use, 4 databases, but one needs to execute before the next, but we would like it to be one long script rather than 4 scripts to be executed one after the other

    so:

run script one > execute > run script two > execute and so on
