Well, that Stewart Lee sketch was 5 minutes 39 seconds of my life I’m never getting back

ditto – Stewart Lee is about as funny as genital warts, tried to watch his critically acclaimed show on BBC2 and it just bored the bejesus out of me, but it suits Guardian readers who joined the student union when they were at University in the 80’s and still think they’re a bit “Right On” even though they’re in middle management and drive a BMW X3

Always amazes me that people hate Top Gear so much but can tell you everything that was wrong with the latest episode – probably the same people who complained about Russell Brand and Jonathon Ross but never actually heard what they said.

    Here’s what you need:

Just remember, with glasses you can put the end of the leg in your mouth when someone asks you a question and say “interesting”…..that makes you look dead intelligent and that

and you look very nice in your specs…….you too Rocketdog

Heard nothing but bad reviews of the Audi, personally the Tiguan or the freelander if it was my choice of your choices.

Other than that Have a look at the Japanese 4×4’s (Honda CRV or Suzuki) Ok they’re a bit less luxurious than what you’ve mentioned but they are bulletproof (disclaimer – not actually bulletproof.

Failing that I would seriously look at the Volvo XC90…..that’s a car and a half

I’d much rather give the work to someone who might appreciate the cash a bit more, and I told the in-laws i’d rather cut off a nut than go with the gas board, but really, they must be banking on people being properly stupid

Not Going Out is one of these comedies trying to re-capture the heydays of Fawlty Towers and Dad’s Army. Unfortunately sitcoms these days are truly unfunny due to bad writers.

That being said I really love Not Going Out and watched last weeks episode last night……had me in stitches

We just bought one of these

Suzuki Grand Vitara DDS. 1.9 Turbo Diesel, full time 4 wheel drive with all the fancy locking diff nonsense. Got to say I’m impressed with it and it takes a lot for me to say that.

Just a shame it’s the wifes car :(

would it be too much of a problem to go see her for half an hour?

Hearing a lot of nasty comments. Time can have a big effect on people, and 20 years is plenty…..and if she is dying then maybe she’s reflected on her life and wants to right some wrongs.

Put yourself in her position…….and take the karma points

Funny, there seems to be a bit of a backlash on already formulated ideas at the moment. In fact i think it was Horizon a few months ago that was putting forward the idea that the Big Bang Theory is flawed.

There is a woman at my work who has a microbiology degree and admitted herself that science is all basically theory, until another theory comes along.

i remember reading some in-depth reports about this before.

Apparently if the earth stopped spinning suddenly, we’d all be ripped apart by the sudden stop in inertia……or something……I was a bit tipsy while reading it and can’t be bothered looking for it again

Elena Jane Goulding[1] (born 30 December 1986),[2] better known as Ellie Goulding, is a British singer-songwriter and guitarist. She rose to fame after topping the BBC Sound of 2010 poll and winning the Critics’ Choice award at the 2010 BRIT Awards. After signing to Polydor Records in 2009, Goulding released her first extended play An Introduction to Ellie Goulding, followed by her debut full-length studio album, Lights, in 2010. Later that year Goulding recorded a re-release of Lights entitled Bright Lights. Goulding is currently working on her second album. As of January 2011, Goulding has been nominated for two 2011 BRIT Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Artist.

So by that definition we should only buy music that’s up for awards voted by industry types who every year put forward artists who they want to sell more units to line their own pockets?

Ellie Goulding is yet another “Greys Anatomy Soundtrack” artist who’ll release a wispy cover version of a once great song because a) people know it, and b) it’s wispy and inoffensive, which is hip at the moment

ah, someone who should know :D

I’m no geometry genius and I haven’t bought a new bike since 2003, is the Piglet more xc orientated? I’m a little *ahem* heavy footed to be an xc whippet and really looking for something I can hit the trails with rather than race round them.
