Watched it last night, try to catch it every year. Love the bikes and would love to take part one day, but more likely to be a weekend warrior in a fully tooled up bike supping a mocha in a little chef

    nice bikes though:

On a serious note, I see the Dakar has already claimed a life this year

Every once in a while there will be an album that comes along that certain people buy, and by certain people i mean people who don’t regularly buy music.

It happened when David Grays White Ladder came out, coffe table dinner party music. Nothing wrong with White Ladder but it soon became the music that was on in the background at every middle classed dinner party. Also see Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow, bonus useage for that Day Like This song now played at weddings for the first dance so the newlyweds can say “even though we appear boring, look, we like indie music”

Adele’s albums are no different, safe music for safe people

Nice night in with the wife, she subjected me to Take That live on blu-ray and I got torn into a bottle of Sailor Jerry.

Jackie Bird (the scots among us will know who she is) stared at me like I was some sort of alcoholic then watched some of the Hootenanny till call of duty took over then bed by 1am

Feel fresh as a daisy although i’m sure the cold my nephew brought to us for xmas has finally got it’s claws into me now.

first ride in months (that’s changing I can assure you) and last of the year was a 6 mile local pootle, proper muddy/a bit rainy/a bit.

On the plus side the wife met me half way round so we could throw a ball for the dog, that made it so much more worthwhile :D

Now going to Sainsburys to buy a bike mag and some mixers for my rum

Rhod Gilbert and Greg Davies did ‘worlds most dangerous roads’ a few months back on the Beeb that was far better

See that sounds quite good, but then when I hear that title it makes me think of:

Very nice, i used to have a Fender Tele that was almost identical except for a humbucker at the neck. It was sold to make way for a bike frame…….my only real regret

Plays good music but the back-story is one big fraud

Has that been proven? who cares, here’s a photo of Steve and Nick Cave, all arguments are now invalid:

Disclaimer: I didn’t see the special but unless it was a radical departure from the usual Clarkson shtick I feel I’m on safe ground here.

Awesome!!! I hate it even though i didn’t see it.
Wouldn’t the folks who can’t adapt to change and think that Top Gear is the motoring magazine to help you choose your next family saloon be better off watching The Real Top Gear on Channel 5?
Fifth Gear, so much like Top Gear they nick all their ideas and repeat them 3 weeks later

Someone must have had a collective word round my inlaws after last years disaster which caused me to almost have a complete breakdown on the 28th. Everyones being much less of an a’hole and actually taking time for me, the wife and the dog rather than pretending we’re not here.

It may also be something to do with the skinful of wine i had last night. Either way its only 2days for us this year rather than the customary 4or5 so thats a boon. And i got Senna on bluray so dogberts a happy pup this year

another “hilarious” Apatow abomination. take 35 minutes worth of jokes and set pieces, stretch it out over 2 hours, add another 20 minutes after the film should have ended, chuck in a couple of famous faces for small parts. Release to monumental praise for some reason. Repeat until the end of time.

For proof see every piece of crap this unfunny gonk has had a hand in

I was out last night with work, met in a pub at 3pm, drank a few, went for a meal, drank a few more. Cut out drinking at 8, started drinking pints of water (much to the dismay of the bar staff) by 9:30 i just wanted to go home, felt badly dehydrated, like i’d cycled 40 miles in 90 degree heat with no water. I probably drank more than i would usually but certainly not a skinful.

What did surprise me though was when i said i was going home people just kept trying to pur drink down my neck or complain as i was a party pooper. Sometimes the UK’s attitude to drink is the reason we get looked at like the louts of europe.

Strangest comment i heard was “i cant guage when its time to go home by what time it is, i go by how drnk i am”

All good responses…….just wanted to guage the opinion of normal people.

Not me by the way, i have no children and no one sends the dog a card. My sister had a meltdown yesterday because someone spelt their embodyment of the second comings name wrong and ripped the card up in anger…….then started a debate on facebook about it.

    She’s a plonker

the sky contract says you have to be connected to the phone line so they can send updates and so on

Its a billing thing, they use it to “call” your box at a “random” time every month (although it’s a fixed date and time) to see what box office and interactive stuff you’ve used then charge you for it.

Also if you have a multiroom that costs an extra tenner it’s to stop you taking out the subscription then farming out any extra boxes to neighbours/family/local pub

Part of the terms and conditions that no one ever reads, good luck getting out of that…….does seem like a sneaky way to get people to pay for the unlimited internet access that people are using more than Orange expected them to

Jeremy Clarkson has also said he feels that soldiers fighting in the middle east and Afghanistan should be paid better, treated with respect and their families looked after if die in combat…….true story!
