I had a dream the other night, i was trying to pedal fast but not making any progress. Froome rides like this for real, but its an optical illusion because he drops everyone. i don’t understand it.

Best Before means it will be fine.

It’s past its optimum taste / condition but is fine to eat way beyond. It means use common sense.

Sealed sterile gel probably fine for a decade.

I’ve just watched on demand. Nice of Eurosport to give you two audio streams for the price of one. And the laggy one with lots of inteference, just for a bonus.

Seems like the on demand provision is even worse than last year. The Ned Boulting highlights on youtube are excellent quality, pin sharp image, I’m guessing 1080p but shame at just 3 minutes long no where near long enough to get any context whatsoever. Where can you watch Boulting? I see canada have him for free.

    Cracking race though.

I see the eurosport player is still bug heavy, 12 months on from using it last time. Still I got a promo for £1 so can’t complain too much.
But I definitely prefer Imlach over Flecha. I know where I’ll be watching the tour, even if it is in standard definition.

Yesterdays stage was really good though.

Don’t give up so easy, there must be a network solution using an old router. Can you get a wifi repeater and broadcast your own network and hook into the Fon. Don’t know enough about fon to give a specific solution.

    This suggests you can

I’ve been using mine for work, casting from a tab on my laptop. Which was fine, unless i did something cpu heavy like compile in visual studio. I often got blips/drops where the stream from the laptop was dropping. Not the chromecast’s fault but the laptop unable to keep up.

I’ve since found this app on itunes so generally cast from phone. Once cast from phone, the audiocast streams direct so doesn’t affect phone battery etc.

v useful for radio and podcasts. Also AllCast is handy for streaming music off your phone, and likewise pics and movies for the video version.

    Enjoy.

Didn’t realise it had optical output.
I already have the required toslink connector back from the minidisc era.

Just ordered, cheers for the psa.

surely the cheapest is a mini hdmi to hdmi cable + mini female to hdmi something, either just a converter back to standard hdmi, or another cable. they are tiny, defo will fit. Should be do-able under £10.

Use a cable with mini hdmi on one end and then a female adaptor on the other side of the wall?

Somehow they swapped range rovers too. Different alloys and cream interior versus dark. Luckily it was still them.

What’s with the very weird chain line on Remi’s bike. Is that a new ‘thing’?

What are the legal ramifications if there is a No cycling sign at the start of the footpath?

Round here it’s dog walkers, always dog walkers trying to spoil things and assert that bikes are not allowed. They are correct but they should just calm down.

I’ve ridden one path near me, resurfaced and not exciting but preferable to the tarmac alternative. I’ve ridden it 4 times in the last 2-3 weeks, and on 3 of those rides a different dog walker each time has taken exception.

Don’t know actually. I got it off here last summer as an experiment to see if 34 was the right size for me and if i liked it.

Teeth look a bit pointy i think. Compared to pics on the web.

I’ll order a new one, well and truly converted.

I’m waiting for next year’s when they’ll correct the cable routing.

What don’t you like? Genuine question, I can’t see too much wrong except perhaps it looks like the stealth dropper is semi stealth, entering the seat tube near the BB?

I don’t get the complaints about mumbling. Don’t think I missed a word the entire series.
    Poor TV speakers perhaps?

This just reminded me I have a perfect condition, barely used technics separates dab tuner in the attic in a box. Not been used in over a decade.

RRP was £500 in Jan 2001. Can’t believe I spent that much actually. Ah, its all coming back to me. I got superfi to price match at about 2/3s of the cost. Still crazy money.

I have these wheels. Not ridden them yet as they are on the summer bike. There always seems to be a deal on, mine came with tyres and £100 off just before xmas. They were £269 which was a steal.

The apparent lack of sealing would put me off those cero wheels

Didn’t realise that actually. But I’m only using in summer / dry so I’ll be ok I think.

I’ve got that exact one, well I did have, only the frame and headset are original.
Much better with 140mm on the front.

The big weakness I think is the cable routing over the rocker. Very poor.
    Wears away the fixing.

Clonezilla is good for making an exact copy (clone), I managed to get a disc to clone despite having some dodgy sectors that other utilities couldn’t handle. However I wouldn’t describe it as dummy friendly.

I always prefer a clone personally.

Shad Thames, a favourite of mine, not far from waterloo. River walk.

Has a nice view of the Thames, pricey but excellent food. Although I’ve not been for over a year.

Yes and happy on a 2012 Trance. I was at Llandegla in November. I was climbing that steep bit half way round the B-Line and someone did loudly comment to his mates “What’s he riding, a BMX?”

Not in the slightest bit bothered.

Using chromecast app for setup there is an offers section worth looking at.

Although the 2 free months of sky movies didn’t work seamlessly, I did finally get it by using the voucher code from the url and input manually.

Impressed how fast and slick it is compared to the TV smart features.

I’m looking for suggestions for a wired solution, not to enter a discussion about why I don’t want to be using wifi

I think this is more intriguing than the original post. Please tell us why!

Chromecast is being sold for £25 at currys at the moment.

On the device, turn off mobile data in the settings but as others have said, not wifi.

I rode my 1991 Clockwork (Orange + white) around Sherwood Pines a few months back, only because I was staying at centre parcs and it’s my shop bike. It was like the old days, kind of, except we didn’t have trail centres. It worked, was a fun ride but definitely would have preferred a ‘proper’ bike without road geometry.

But its in use, mostly shop duties, which its fine at. I get a full 3mm travel from the manitou forks, wonder if there is any elastomer actually left or its just bouncing on the gruft collected over many years. I daren’t look.

So wifi is a local issue to your router and house.
What talktalk router is it? Is it all devices have issues connecting?
have you tried changing the channels, any other settings?
    How far away.

As a side note. I sometimes hotspot on EE and it ALWAYS works but my contract allows tethering.
