I like all cheese, but to suggest Saint Agur is top of the pile is plain weird.

I look down on it, a poor mans Roquefort.

We recently changed to Plusnet and their router was much worse than the previous Talk Talk one, so I’m using the TalkTalk one instead.

Exact same here, speed and reliability was ok near the plus net hub one router but dropped off horrendously with distance. So I’m back on talktalk super router. Although with just 3mbs to start with might be harder to notice.

I agree, clone again with a different tool. I’ve used clonezilla with good results.

Yep. That’s half the benefits of having a Sonos style all in one solution, as I understand it.

But as has already been said; is also a feature of chromecast audio.

Except much cheaper especially if you have audio equipment lying around that takes at least one of these

RCA, 3.5mm jack or 3.5mm Toslink (fibre optic)

And if you’ve got some really good stereo equipment, will sound better too.

I’ve got two chromecast audios. Use one of them most days and sometimes in a group. It’s not perfect, for example you can’t use the audio of spotify free on your phone. The wifi reception capabilities are really really good. I’ve got one where my phone is struggling for reception but it solidly holds a signal.

I think you should pay it to the Radmires fund.

I’m expecting one in the post and had ear marked ‘some’ of it towards my future trail happiness. Not sure how much yet.

I’ve got an old ipod running ios6, the bbc radio app stopped working on it ages ago but the RadioPlayer app continues to work albeit not on the latest version either. You lose some features but it works.

    Still annoying though.

Spinning cars, this is a thing? Bizarre, why would you do that or watch it?

doesnt sound plausible to me. And the antennas are about signal strength I guess.

You can always chain a spare router onto the virgin media box to give a second wifi point. Disabling the adsl or if that is too difficult you can buy powerline adaptors with a wifi network too. Both would solve the issue.

Or I noticed you can get an Ethernet adaptor for chromecast, network and power over usb.

We have mainly apple devices ie Ipad, Iphone and have Netflix that currently we just use on the ipad.

Would this allow me to stream photos/videos from the iPhone to the TV, and to stream the Netflix from the ipad?

+ potentially amazon content in the future

Yes, netflix is natively supported on iDevices. Amazon isn’t though, the one weakness. You can still stream amazon using a chrome browser on a laptop but it’s not great.

For sending photos and music AllCast seems to work quite well. For £20 its definitely worth having. In some shops £20 won’t buy you a hdmi lead for example! I use mine all the time. NowTv, Gcn on youtube, netflix, spotify etc etc.

I’m one to talk but I couldn’t stop staring at those teeth behind Clarkson.

That aside, it was really good.

Have you seen their flash new office alongside Kings Cross? Meanwhile the old one on Farringdon Road is currently being demolished. How much of last years loss was due to a building they can’t afford?

Whilst there are good bargains I increasingly find issue with aldi.
There is far too much sugar in some products like the muesli and desserts.
The dishwasher tablets are cheap but leave a scum around the door seal whereas more expensive brands do not.

I tend to go to get certain things in bulk, cheese, wine and cured meats for example.
I can’t do a full shop there any more as its too joyless.

Ha, I’d seen that route on my strava fly bys. I was almost going to do the exact same route on Sunday except i was hungover and just bimbled about.

I get this too and its definitely a product of POWER. Normally get it on climbs, even when it’s warm but even more so when its cold. I’ve been doing lower back exercises and stretching this year and I get it much less than I used to. Dont’ think a desk job helps.

Chromecast will do Amazon, from google chrome on a PC you can cast the tab. It’s not as elegant as the traffic is from Internet to pc and then to chromecast rather than a direct fetch.

    Presumably DCC read this?

Just in case they do I would just like to reiterate what a fabulous job I think they do and how I love their forward thinking and open minded attitude and their efficient working practices.

The first climb goes past the start of the great last downhill, so you can do it at the start and end of the loop, double the fun.

I seem to remember similar lip service paid to stanage causeway, keeping some of the rock.

Then all they did was flatten it and add a lot of dangerous drainage ditches.

Our Mk1 Golf 1.1 got done by huge hailstones (golf ball size) early one morning in 1983 in South West France. Insurance paid out for a new bonnet and black vinyl roof so it looked like a Gti, except it didn’t really.

How weird was Froomes reply to have you ridden the final climb today?

No, i’ve only seen it on paper, no wait, no, yeah, I’ve ridden it.

Last week i had a new bb30 fitted to my super six evo, it was clicking within 10 minutes and by the end of the first ride, it was creaking under load.
What options have I got, Evans just swapped like for like. I didn’t realise they were quite so bad.
