46mph on the geared bike and 41mph on the rigid singlespeed down the same hill. I’d say faster is possible but there are a few blind corners at the top of the hill followed by a steep straight section and a mini roundabout followed by a t junction at the bottom so only a hundred yards or so to get your speed up. I could go faster if I could slow down faster!

Had this problem with a cheap tourney chainset, wouldn’t shift onto the granny, incorrect chainline I needed a 122mm or something bottom bracket and I even might’ve put a 2mm spacer in too on the drive side.

Had a daystate something, an air arms S410, a lazaglide HW98, a standard HW77, a ratcatcher, a webley hurricane and the only one that I’ve held onto a .177 HW77K Lazaglide, its older than I am and its nice to take out of the cupboard now and again. I went through the spectrum from air to .22 to .222 and had a 6.5×55 and have cut down to a couple of shotguns and the Weihrauch. I don’t do much shooting these days so have no need for so many guns. Would be nice to get an air pistol again, HW45??? Hmmmmm.

Why wouldn’t they work with standard v levers? Is one version shorter pull length than the other?

Got a blackburn mars 4 a few weeks ago, good bright light, used to use just a knog frog and it isn’t very good compared to the mars. I think the knog was recommended somewhere like bikeradar but I should’ve went straight for the blackburn.

B&Q sell a dewalt 18v with two 1.3Ah batteries and you can get similar deals on same spec makitas, both will be ok for general use, my dewalt has lasted over a year now of serious use but it doesn’t compare to the Panasonic 14.4 v which is lighter more powerful and lasts longer between charges but it was about £180 with two 3.1Ah batteries.

I did my inlaws 02 vectra the other day, father inlaw had tried to use them when the windscreen was frozen. I loosened the nut on the motor, moved the wipers into the off position, cycled the wiper motor and tightened the bolt up again. A google search suggested all sorts but this worked for me.

37.5mph on a hardtail on minor roads, didn’t know what I was doing at the time so I’ll be happy if I break 40 on the next run round the same route.

Great for work, bikes, surfboards, the canoe, ladders, the dogs, fishing gear the only problem is when I’m taking the wee one anywhere her mum has to take her own car (or go in the back).

Ruger mk 11 reasonably cheap although there is now a mk 111 cheap to feed, accurate and reliable with all brands of ammo I’ve used.
