I tell my 3 year old that if she doesn’t brush her teeth and be in bed by 8, that wee willie Winkie who runs through the town is going to pull her teeth out so there’ll be none left for the tooth fairy, harsh but at least it worked for a night or two!

What’s the difference between a wet dream and a western dream?
In a western dream, when you wake up you’re still shooting!

Ok I ordered a pair of riggers as recommended on the which rigger boot thread, these ones http://m.screwfix.com/reviews.htm?id=5234D
And the local shop are gonna give me a ring when they get these buckler boots in stock http://www.bucklerboots.com/products/productdetail.php?pid=73&catid=11, I can keep both in the site office and wear whichever the weather dictates. Cheers for the advise I hadn’t heard of buckler before so good to know they’re a good boot.

I have exodus aero bars which are thule and they whistle. I have no experience of the thule wing bar which may be different but the aero bar is definitely not silent.

I have a 30 year old Weiheauch HW77 that is a really accurate gun for a spring air rifle, it cost me £120 from the classifieds on airgunbbs.com and after a bit if work I’ve got a really nice accurate gun. You should get a decent springer from air arms or Weiheauch for your budget, I never liked bsa or webley guns. Diana are also good if you’re not stuck with the 12ft/lb limit. You’ll struggle to get a complete precharge setup for near £200 maybe I’m wrong but I would allow £250 for a gun and £100 for a bottle and hose.
Be sure to have a look on the classifieds on the airgunbbs or other airgun forums, pigeonwatch also but the same guys normally use all the forums.

Never gave money to the homeless but the other week I gave a lift to a couple of hitchhikers. They were a young Hungarian couple who were touring round Ireland on the cheap with a tent an hitch hiking their way. Told me they had only planned to stay for two weeks but only made it round half the country in that time so they were gonna stay another two. Slightly off topic but I thought it was kinda cool and the first time I ever pulled over to give a lift to a stranger.

Bought this a few weeks ago, a new tyre and a set of caliper pistons later and it passed MOT on Saturday. Looking forward to getting out on it now as I haven’t been out since passing the test in March.

I was working at a house the other week when the man of the house, a man in his seventies came out to the back yard shirtless (he meant business) and fired up one of these http://youtu.be/rHyhdVHzxGs. I was never as glad to see it throw a belt off so he could live until another time when I wouldn’t be there to pick up his torso/limbs/head!

Did my direct access on a SV at the start of march and sold my CG125 at the weekend so I’m well on my way to buying my first big bike and was thinking about a SV650, it seems easy on petrol, sounds great and goes well what is not to like? The figure 8’s on my module 1 were tough though.

As someone earlier said you have to meet fire with fire, if he shouts and makes hand gestures you have to scream and wave your arms around, do a monkey imitation or mr wobbly from the mr men. Your aim is to make him think you are a complete nut job and he would be better off getting as far away from you as possible. Maybe punch yourself in the head or pull out clumps of chest hair?

I had a couple of saxos when I started driving and the only part that failed on both was the power steering pump nearly sure it was an electric type on the 1.1

NI resident here, to be honest I wouldn’t be comfortable raising my child anywhere else. We live in the west of the province. Finding work can be a limiting factor though, I’m an electrician and from next week I’ll be driving 160 miles a day to go to work.

Having never ridden a bike at the age of 29 in August I picked up a Cg125 from a fella I used to work with for £150. It had been lying at the side of his house for about 8 years so needed new shocks, chain headlight, tyres and cables and was good to go. It will do 65mph with a tailwind and over 100 miles to a fiver but it struggles in a headwind and I have to drop it into 3rd gear to go up the glenshane pass for those familiar with it. So I have just the on road practical test to do shortly I can see myself getting something with a bit more poke, I’m not looking for thrills or danger but that journey from a to b is a whole lot better on two wheels.

    This was Domino
He was a great dog but sadly had to be put down at 6 1/2 after he first took a skin disorder then nervous system, it came to a stage where he couldn’t get out of his bed. I had been warned that Dals can have certain health problems and don’t have a long life expectancy. He was a very fit dog and I don’t think I ever tired him out, he was very defensive of his own home also and a great guard dog. Miss him.

My steering near seized on me once turns out it was the coupling in the steering column. These wee vans certainly make sure you see your mechanic often, mine is there at the minute after an idler pulley bounced across the driveway. A rear beam is on my horizon shortly too as it looks like it has the camber of an old sierra. Last time it went it snapped a torsion bar so I put a secondhand unit in, have had 4 years out of that so far for £130. If it goes again a reconditioned unit is £300 with a fella near Ballymoney over here in NI.

Smelly fish is a good bait for rats or most vermin, a tin of sardines with a pew holes punched in the lid. Then shoot them with an air rifle.

I like the Peppa Pig shapes by Heinz myself, tried the crosse and Blackwell sponge bob squarepants shapes once and they were stinking, gave them to the dog and he had to lick his back end to get the taste out of his mouth!

Surprised nobody has linked to british blades, great site for knifemaking. I’ve carried a simple Swiss Army knife everyday for the past ten years or so, if I leave home without it has the same feeling like you’ve forgotten your mobile phone. I’m a spark so if I don’t have snips I can use it to cut a bit of cable, open boxes or packaging, Put batteries into the child’s Christmas toys, open a beer, remove a splinter.
I don’t like using it for food prep or gutting animals as there’s places for nasties to hide so I have a few fixed blade knives for that sort of thing but as someone else said they’ve never been used as a weapon or designed to be used as one and never hurt anything that wasn’t already dead. I have a sog powerlock somewhere and it is a great multitool but a crap knife.
