    Cazenove UK Smaller Co. 1 year = 47%, 3 years = 114% & 5 years = 194%.

    Thats just 1 fund….

Now is not the time to buy an annuity, you can get temp ones to bide you over until the rates get better. You could do the bucket approach but you need a fair lump, you hold a year or 2 in high interest account and current account to live off then invest the rest and filter off profits/dividends into the bucket.

Investing in dividend funds will get you around 4% income but the funds will hopefully go up in value (above inflation) as well to give you a higher total return. Investing in value/growth funds will get you higher returns maybe 30% – 50% in good years.

Also look at T-Mobile they use the EE network and are owned by EE, I found them cheaper for a SIM only deal. £11 a month for 1GB 500 mins and unlimited texts. I was going to go Giffgaff but the coverage is crap where I am.

Stuck the SIM in my new Nexus 4 and I was off straight away.

    No.

This country in general, the students and the parents need to break this fixation that you need a minimum of a degree to get on in life these days. A lot of graduates seem to finish uni and not have a clue what they want to do, or have too high an expectations of what job they believe they are entitled to. They also don’t seem to realize the sectors where jobs are when they pick their courses.

I did an apprenticeship when I left school at 16, as well as college you get more real life training in your subject. Graduates that came in to the industry were so out of touch with the reality of the work environment as it’s all black and white to them.

Any country that is so driven/governed by such an unforgiving religion is ****ed.

Won’t the people who he’s teasing not notice that he’s pulled a fast one as well?

    This.

Plus start big’ing him for the next one saying ‘how well he did in the last one’ and watch the pressure mount, start dropping in that you’ll be scrutinizing his progress throughout the event etc…

    No different to the UK.

Still a lot less than many other countries.

Just try tightening the gland nut (!!) if it’s like the one above, that usually sorts it, it squashes the existing packing that’s in there a bit. Don’t tighten it too much though.

But why, if you’re unable or unwilling to defend them?

Defend what? What is there to defend in what I made as an observation, you tried to imply some complete irrelevance in to what I wrote.

trying falsely connect conditions in countries that aren’t the UK with immigration to the UK.

Whats that got to do with a religious group not wanting to live in country ruled by there religion? I mentioned nothing about immigration or conditions, I don’t even know what you mean by conditions, material or religious?

jamj1974 still hasn’t given any reply as to why they don’t want to live in muslim countries yet.

And just with dobbo, what, precisely, does this have to do with immigration to the UK, neilferther?

….the vast, vast majority of Muslims I have met don’t want to live in a Muslim country either.

Just continuing topics raised EARLIER in the thread………. maybe ask the originator of the subject jamj1974 why he raised it.

Yet again Zokes, jamj1974 stated that mulsims he knows don’t want to live in a muslim country, I replied to that as did Cougar. It’s not hard to follow. You do read posts from the top of the page down don’t you?

    Dobbo

So then jamj1974, why don’t the vast, vast majority of muslims you have met want to live in a mulsim country?

Do they have more freedom in a non mulsim country and prefer that?
I’d have thought that if there belief was that strong they’d prefer to be more encapsulated in it and its rules?

trying falsely connect conditions in countries that aren’t the UK with immigration to the UK.

By conditions you must mean religious conditions and restraints rather than economic I presume?

Why do you think jamj1974 stated that “vast, vast majority of Muslims I have met don’t want to live in a Muslim country“?

I’ve not even mentioned about immigration to the UK, purly about muslims apparently not wanting to live in a muslim country. There’s no point in trying to twist things around that are written so clearly.

I presume jamj1974 can answer that he bought it up as a relevant issue.

I’ve never lived in a Muslim country and funnily enough the vast, vast majority of Muslims I have met don’t want to live in a Muslim country either…

    1. How many muslims have you met and asked if they want to live in a muslim country? It must be a hell of lot to get a vast vast majority. unless that’s 1 out of 1. 😆

    2. It’s not a good advert for muslim countries if they don’t want to live there.

What if there had been a Muslim child there?

More likely to be killed by their own religious nutters than a teachers dog looking at what happened in Nigeria today. Dozens of schools have been burned in attacks by Islamists since 2010.

I like the look of the Torm short sleeve jerseys, any one got a T7 Jersey? How does the sizing come up?

Are they warmer than usual short sleeve jerseys, they look thicker material?

Another working from home, did a road loop over Winlatter – Buttermere – Newlands in the hot sun in my ‘lunch hour’.

Interesting watching all the RAF trainers dodging the para-gliders around Crummock Water. Lack of communication somewhere down the line.
