Just had a spin in to Keswick, I like the way the Tesco lorry didn't quite make it past Booths!

The river Greta towards Crosthwaite Road from High Hill.

    The boat house Derwent Water.

I reckon something will be missing or won't fit so you won't be able to ride it today. 😆

your pics show EXACTLY why I'll never, ever buy a house near a river

Ditto. Houses by a river used to be a real premium, now they must be watching to prices plummet, that's all over the UK, even places with no history of flooding.

I remember Louis Theroux doing a Paul Daniels program when the Thames came up to his door, so every cloud has a silver lining I suppose 😆

I've just ordered a turboferret 4-pack battery holder (got 3000 mAh batts for it), what do you keep yours in Northwind? I've gone for a DX light and was planning on sticking it in the battery pouch.

Just heard on Radio Cumbria, said it's starting to breach the flood defences in Keswick. Kendal and Cockermouth are also on high alert.

I think in Adobe Acrobat pro version you can save as different file types, in the past I've had PDF's converted (with various success rates!)to word format with tables in that I've extracted.

Or you mat be able to cut and paste direct from the PDF.

How is Keswick itself holding up? As in the town centre.

IIRC 50mA (approx) is required to kill you if it passes through your chest.

The way that info was gained is not a nice thing either.

Plus I'd rather not smash my face into the stem if it all goes wrong.

I seriously can't work out your logic on how it would actually fall off/apart due to a minor slant on the steerer. Oh well each to there own. 😆

When I put my shag bands on it's like a binding love contract and I fully accept the consequences no matter how grotesque the outcome is. 😐

Anyway, who fancies a night ride?

I've just ordered the whole spectrum 8) I'm up for all of them ASAP.

Why would you think a 2mm slope would make any difference if it's not too short and it's clamped by the stem and has a SFN in the steerer?

Particularly the 15 minutes they spend telling you what you could win in the competition..

Exactly, that's when I switch off.

A DX light paired with a couple of Airbike SL2s is OK for a commute.

Sounds good, I didn't think they would use so much single track because of bottlenecks, good on the organisers. Yesterday would have been a hellish day, I was round Ulldale today and didn't think the weather was 'too' bad.

A slight swerve from the OP question, but, where can you get spare batteries for the DX bike light, if they are available that is?

This is the light we are all talking about I presume.

It may be the wrong link, a genuine mistake, but if you're getting a £100 tripod for £65 then i can't see a problem other that you're not getting as big a bargain as you thought – mistakes happen.

If it was a mistake he should sill offer a refund, if you buy something that's not what you are told it is you should get your cash back, even if it is an apparent bargain.
