A lot of those systems are not always scratch and dent – some are canceled orders as well. The factory builds to order so if you order and pay it starts to build, if you then cancel the system can sometimes have finished build before you cancel so its sold through ARB (asset recovery) or scratch and dent. Also some systems may from the outlet may be swapped systems (ie not fixable on site as it would cost to much / take to much time / parts not available / customer experience) and so will be repaired and resold through ARB.

They are superb deals and you can save a fortune on kit that way. Just watch for the cheeky VAT and shipping add on 🙂

Warranty will be as for new kit (ie you dont get any less as its ARB).

He attempted to do the WHW both ways in 32 hours. Its 100 miles (roughly) each way and involves a 7 mile section of hike a bike nightmare each way. He did manage to do one way in 14 hours – thats impressive on its own!

He's also the dude that posted up there.

The WHW is a bitch that's beaten me a few times. He gets boat loads of respect from me for getting as far as he did in the time he did!

Its easier to get my hands in to the tyre to find whatever went through it that way for me.

I hate directional tyres. I always put them on the wrong way round after a puncture trail side and only notice after i have pumped then back up. It feels wrong cycling them with like that. Its like that feeling you get when you notice you have odd socks on. Totally doesn't matter until you notice and then you can't forget!

Strange I have never found that on my cross bike – but then my gloves have very grippy palms? Perhaps its a glove thing rather than a tape thing?

I love osprey sacks. I have a talon 33 for commuting. Its so comfy its like night and day with my camelbacks. They are worth the money. Easily.

Go fast then stop. Do this from 1 to 20 times depending on how much your bothered. Job done!

Oh and those auction snipe sites do my head in!

Oh yeah and maybe get a hub gear? Loads less faff, means that you don't need to explain chainlines and shifting under pressure etc on ride's. In my experience that just add's trouble. Already she's going to be nervous about coming out on your thing and if you stand and lecture her for 20 mins on how to ride a bike she's just going to feel worse and not enjoy it. I don't mean to be sexiest btw, i have been dropped by pretty much every girl i have ridden with in a group ride, i know girls can ride bikes better than me! I just mean to save arguments with your good lady so you both enjoy it! 🙂
