its not to get the stem the right height, its instead of using star fangled nut to adjust height, i have a carbon steerer so cant use star fangles and that is cheeper than the bung type adjuster

how about use a short-ish travel 26inch fork with a cable disc, probably be cheaper because there is much more choice. wouldnt put anything too long on because it will change the geometry too much.

i'm confused, and you say frame is damaged and wheels? so why are you buying a whole bike? and if halfords will repair for £200 surely that will repair the offset?

both are good, was never happy with old SRAM kit, but the modern kit is outstanding, i have standardized all our bikes to SRAM for ease of spares and maintenance. SRAM is very positive shifting. but makes no difference, wouldn't take shimano off if a bike came with it.

i'd go for it, its a nice frame at a good price, steel in a nicer ride.

looks ok for gently rides, but wouldn't want to take it on any ride where there is a risk of crashing, my brother broke his phone in a crash when it was in a camelback, i always make sure mine is crap and old, or well protected

their workstands are 1st class, but with a bit of shopping about i bet there are others out there just as good. really did like using their workstand though, very stable. and the fact that you didn't receive her email is her problem, if the address doesnt exist (wrong) she would have got a failed message returned to her, if it was someone elses address she wouldn't have known it had failed, but she could at least send it again.

i dont have any idea. what about the ones that they made in a shirt for racing, holds about a litre, and you wear it under your jersey, seen them about.

a few are coming with freesat built in now, so as long as the dish is digital(chances are it is because analogue hasnt been used for years) and its still pointing in the right place(easy to fix if it isn't with a bit of time, patients, and google) a built in freesat tv should be pretty good, everything all in one box. you could maybe borrow an old sky box off someone to plug in and check the dish is all good before you get it

i was gonna say the egg beater c just because i dont really see the point in the small outer cage, you can clip into all 4 sides more easily, i ride my bike to work with them in trainers and although its not ideal, it still works! i just bout 2 new sets of 09 models for my girlfriend for 20 quid from crc, but looks like they have sold them all, lucky i got in there 😀

there are loads of people on here who moan about the quality of CB pedals, i have never has a problem with my egg beaters, have been running them on 2 bikes for the last couple of years, much prefer them to shimano. only regreased them once in the whole time, and they are so cheap if they do give up i can go get a new set. get a new set, although i would go for egg beaters rather than smartys.

i have been using the cheap lexmark ones from tesco, about 50 quid, does me quite well, normally use it for about 2 sets of cartridges and then get a new one. does the job for me, the one i have now even has wireless. bargain at 50 quid 😀

also consider a 24 inch wheel dmr sidekick or similar, thats what i ride, but when i had a bmx had a federal extension which was a nice long frame, but much prefer a small jump bike with rigid forks, i picked mine up from ebay for £200 fully built.

my girlfriend has it in disco black which is a sorta pearlescent black, orange had a test bike in that colour, and depending on how good the shop is they might be able to get it thrown in for free 😀 and the white painted rims an all 😀

glad u sorted it all, definitely a top price for the bike so you got a deal there. If i could sell my pitch and get that instead i definitely would, although the pitch is a very nice bike at a fraction of the price

I think singletrack this month was good, i'm an occasional climber and like the idea of including other sports in the magazine, i also find most of the articles of interest which can not be said for MBUK. and as others have said, if it wasnt for the people who buy the magazines and the mugs with P next to their names this forum and the websites content would not exist.

i've had them on my mountain bike and road bike for 2 years never had a problem with them at all, much easier to get in and out of than shimano, simple to maintain, just greased them for the 1st time and at 20 quid you cant go wrong.

Orange are quality made bikes, yes you pay alot, but you get what you pay for. a good shop should be able to sort you out with a bit of a discount, my partner managed to get free paint job on frame and wheels and 10% off her 2010 five, but then again, she's not picking it up for 3 months, so orange don't have a short deadline to build it. they are hard to get a discount, but you may be able to get some sort of discount, it really depends on the dealer and their relationship with orange
