If the pans are magnetic on the bottom they will work on an induction hob. Mine turns itself off when you remove the pans after a few seconds and is only hot for a minute or two after.

If they have just changed the meter and it wasnt leaking before then i would say they haven’t done the job properly.

Why don’t they call themselves a tribute act then?? Certainly appreciate seeing the original line-up before they hit the big time, then saw them a second time in a larger venue. Great that folk are still enjoying their music all these decades later!

I suppose they are a sort of tribute act. Then again, if they replaced an original member, they were in Dr Feelgood at that time. I just hope they are good, and I’m looking forward to it. Next gig after this one is The Hives in April.

When Wilco left they got a new guitarist, then Lee died so they get a new singer and i assume it carries on like that. Much like Trigger’s broom.

I’ve got solar panels with a battery. Just had an electric heat only boiler installed( uses same rads) with an air source water heater installed in the garage. My thinking is that the boiler will only run for half the year when needed, so offsetting the extra cost compared to gas. The water heater plugs into a normal electric socket and runs independently. Just had an induction hob installed and gas meter is getting removed next month saving on standing charge.

I just got the Blackview BV700. I’m impressed. Had a 6A but dropped it and the screen shattered. The Blackview was reasonably priced, armoured and 5g

Going to see Dead Kennedys on 16th at Electric Ballroom Camden. Not sure who will be in the line up, or what it will be like. Worth a look though

It was pretty good, very loud, but i did have a bit trouble working out which song was which. Although, to be fair i was a tad drunk by the end. Was great seeing loads of ageing punks in the pub beforehand, bearing in mind i was too, but wasn’t dressed like one. All in all thoroughly enjoyed myself. Next one will be London Calling, Clash tribute band in Gillingham in October, saw them last December at the 100 club and thought they were excellent

i had solar panels installed in November with a battery. Mine just charges the battery when there is enough solar power, if not it just sits there waiting. When the sun’s out it works fine and the battery charges. Soon as the sun goes down the battery discharges to run the electric. I’m not sure about having to reset anything, doesn’t seem right to me. Try talking to some solar installing companies, they might help (wouldn’t hold my breath though)

Ive just had solar installed with a battery. 10 panels on the roof 4kwh, 3.3 kwh battery. So far it seems great when the sun shines. Not looking in going totally electric yet, but hoping to in the future. The system came with the iboost but i haven’t got an immersion so couldnt be fitted.
I also have a catalogue from a company called Fischer Future Heat, they have some interesting stuff like electric boilers and radiators etc. Not sure on prices though. Phone number: 01162425533 or 08001032705, email: info@fischerfuture.co.uk

Had my Transiton Covert stolen a couple of years back. The police and myself had given up ever finding it again. But, low and behold, i was walking the dog and some young chav came riding along the road on it. I stopped him and took it back, he reckoned he paid £700 for it. The git had put a big bum saddle on it though!!
Never give up it, might turn up.

Renewed my 10 year one last year. It still says European and is a red one. Just probably not going to use it for awhile. Took a week to arrive.

I am 59% East English, 20 % Scottish, 7% Norwegian and the rest German/Northern European.
Found one ancestor that joined the Royal Navy in 1806(year after Trafalgar) and served on HMS Narcissus in the West Indies. Even managed to get his will from the National Archive. He left all his prize money to his mum, bless. Sounds like a pirate/slaver to me.

Heard Chris Grayling’s got a new job. Ship’s pilot in Egypt of all places. Wonder how he’s doing. He did own some ferries apparently, so got some experience.

i worked for close to 30 years at a papermaking company called Aylesford Newsprint. The place shut in 2015 and i was made redundant. KPMG were the administrators. The site has been sold to Pannatoni(warehouses on the way, minimum wages maximum profits). KPMG are one part of the serco track and trace people that are robbing us. When i was made redundant we found out that the newspapers were buying cheaper paper fom Canada(subsidised by the Canadian government) and Russia(sanctions at the time due to the Ukraine business. Illegal i assumed, but cheaper than us).
I’ve come to the conclusion that we are being robbed and ripped off and i am getting increasingly annoyed about it. Thats not including the Brexit debacle

I think i’ve got about 25 Fall albums. Saw them live in the 80’s around the Bend Sinister time. Some of their songs are awful but some are genius. One of my favourite bands of all time.

I still listen to and buy new stuff and there are loads of bands about, never tire of listening to music

Wearing a union jack jacket will cause people to think of you as a farage supporter – a rabid brexiteer.

Thats why i haven’t got one. Would have a few years back, but Farage has ruined that plan.

i really have the urge to dress in the old skinhead gear. Ben Sherman/or Fred Perry, levis, dm’s and braces. Probably feel a millions dollars, look a right t**t. Always wanted a union jack jacket like the Jam. 56 by the way

I had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago. Did’nt have Picolax(thought they’d stopped using it now), it was some other vile concoction…same result though.
The procedure itself went fine, no sedation or gas and air. Most painful part was the finger first of all(felt like Tyson Fury fingering me!!). The other uncomfortable bit was when they pump the CO2 in and the bloated feeling, feels like the camera is going to come out my mouth.
Quite fascinating watching it on screen, had a polyp removed then they lost it and spent half an hour searching for it inside me..Overall, it went well and the Doctor/nurses were great, although not looking forward to the next visit.

Mine (Tracy Crouch) replied personally and agreed with me but said she wouldn’t resign as she is a back bencher(i didn’t ask her to). She said she wasn’t into a lynch mob style of demanding his resignation as it was most unbecoming!! She did say she complained to her whip most vociferously though.

There used to be a program a few years back called mailwasher. It would send an email back saying this email address doesn’t exist. Not sure if it is still around, but it got rid of unwanted emails.
