Mrs Dizcostix works for an international exam board – the best candidate name she told me that comes to mind is:

    Supaman Batman

defo wouldn’t mess with that guy

even slicks would do at sherwood pines – Momentum from riding on the flat will take you up the steepest climbs!

mine doesn’t do it. I can lift my heavy nomad up by the saddle with the post fully compressed with no movement – i thought that was a selling point of the reverb over others??

I’ve just been through the process really quick an easy.

Knocked all my old bearings out using the proper sc tool. Posted them 1st class recorded on Monday with a photocopy of original purchase receipt and a cover note where I wanted the replacement delivering.

New bearings arrived in the post 2 days later. Top work by jungle!

i’ve got some – the cartridge bearing type.

I think they’re great coming from Easton Flatboys and well suited to those with big feet wanting a larger platform

go 1×10 with a lightweight chainguide. Swapping the 36t ring for a 32t would mean you would only lose your current 3 easiest gears. (+ 2 hardest gears)

should be doable for some weight saving and under 100 quid

    i think 190mm is wrong.

if you have a 420mm length post – it’s 420 -(minimum insert) which i cant remember if its 4 inches but would leave approx 320mm at least for max extension.

edit: unless you mean the collar on the actual post?

running a 2.25 up front and 2.1 on the rear. Weigh 16.5 stone geared up at the moment and run the rear at 45psi, 38ish psi on the front of a 100mm forked hardtail.

The front definitely digs in better on turns for me, while the 2.1 likes to slide out – its not too bad though*

*thetford conditions only (wet, frozen and dry)

I’d buy a front 2.25 that should last using the both 2.1 rears then try summit else and expand your personal tyre experience.

i was contemplating some sidi shoes, but they’ve up the price of them overnight to make them more expensive than they were with the 25% voucher! grrrrrrrrr

right hand mount, on the left side under the bars. running 1×9 so no front shifter.

its just too exposed mounted above the bars – in a crash as well as flipping your bike upside down to remove wheels – trailside puncture etc.

It’s not a cheap fix if you smash it up.

funnily i had the same issue as the OP about a month ago. ordered 3 metres of disc hose that turned up in 1 metre lengths. they sorted it out in the end at no cost to me and i now have enough spare front hoses for a lifetime :)

wide size 12s for me and there are 2 flat pedals of choice:

easton flatboys or funn soljams – they’ve got some of the biggest platforms out there and my flatboys are on their 6th year with no issues

sjscycles sell an upgrade metal cup that’s a bit more substantial than the plastic one that comes (and cracks) with the un54

Very easy to find coming off the M18, sticks out like…well, a big dome.

Loads of parking, and in the event its full, Asda is across the road with shedloads of parking as is a Vue cinema/bowling alley/restaurant complex all with lots of parking.

Also, its less than a mile away from the Racecourse which is well signposted if you manage to get lost!

rs7s are awesome – as far as bb’s go, you can fork out for a phil wood square taper with awesome changeable bearings, or have numerous un54s for £11 each

rjc x-treme for the best price

fri-mon north wales including a first time snowdon experience.

Those of you going to thetford, this recent weather has turned parts of the trail almost beach like. Take your bucket and spade :)

My experience has been similar, CRC were quite happy to knock a couple of quid off when I’ve price matched, although when it came to just over £10 off some five ten shoes they flat out refused.

Evans on the other hand have been excellent in price matching – and certainly a lot quicker in turnaround for providing the yes/no answer.

the dusters ebb is 2 bolts underneath – so quite a quick adjustment. I’m also ok running the 16 where i live (thetford/woburn trails), it’s more so that i like the idea of an easier gear if required when i venture on new more mountainous trails.

So, does anyone know how many chainlinks slack the ebb can mop up?
