    Sorry just spotted this,
Mattjg it worked out fine have been out most weekends and have not touched my fs once!
Have fitted Ground Controls for the winter and I am thinking of going 32t front 11-42 rear to get a bit more legs on fire roads etc and tubeless, but overall I could not be happier.
Robware, when I asked about 2x Finlay (Rep) said no go so I will keep an eye on your progress. 😀

Previous experience has shown that once within your boundary the depth matters not to them, I think they might stuggle to maintain a guaranteed depth when “moleing” a service to your meter.

We used 5800kWh last year! 😯 And that is 21% down on the previous year, 2 adults,3 kids in a 3 bed semi.

Just turn off the cold main at the stopcock (blue pipe) and open the hot and cold taps, these should drain and release any pressure, dont forget to turn off the prostel electric supply.
I assume there is no boiler?
To refill turn off all taps except the bath hot tap, turn on cold main, await water via hot tap, turn off hot tap and relax.(then check your fix worked!)

Can I ask what plumbing you need to do?

Combi running hot and cold sounds more like diverter valve.
Could be an internal leak letting the heating water out via the taps, ie heat exchanger.
As trail rat says, try a bag over the prv just to make sure.

7 week wait for mine was a bloody nightmare! I always buy stuff on sight so was the first time I have had a fairly lengthy wait, and I had not physically seen what I was getting.Well worth it though! 😀
Congrats on feeling secure enough to make the purchase, well done.

I would like to do both, obviously not at the same time.I have been given the offer of some guided rides and would like to be able to track where I have been without too much faff and stopages.
I would also like to explore more and have the confidence to just ride and return to the start point.
I realise the lucky amongst us are able to spend large amounts of time searching our great countryside,of which I am jealous, but I am not in that position and want to be able to expand our rides as fluidly as poss.
I have an eTrex 10 but would prefer to see an OS or similar setup which I can use to help visualise where we are and also to find a way to help should we need it (2 adults, 3 kids, 3 dogs).

Pook; I have been offered a guided ride or 2 and I want to record as I ride 🙂
CZ, as above and also I would prefer a seperate unit so the kids can do Geocaching etc, plus the battery life issue.

As above GU10 are 240v so not a transformer issue.
No idea why they would not work? Maybe contact the manufacturer?

If you were to get it changed to residential would you have more luck with the mortgage? I have a mate who got an agreement with the vendors whilst the application went through and any ammendments were made.

Did you not get a copy of the cert and a confirmation letter? I would check.
    MH I know 🙂

Gas Safe dont certify so you will still need a willing Engineer.

Not everyone wants / has the ability to DIY,in fact I would think the majority would rather not, I base this on the amount of threads that are asking for advice and do not include “deperate for DIY” in the title.

It will take a plumber a day to move a boiler, so all that you’re risking is a day’s labour

    Really.

    divenwob

cp, give Gas Safe a call and ask, if they have no problem then I would ask the Council if they will sign off on it and bingo! While you are on, what boiler is it?

    divenwob

As above some have an electric shower as a back up for the times when these unreliable combi boilers() ruin your week!
I wonder how many Registered Installers would move a 16 yr old unit?
Scrap that, get Footflaps to have a look. 😕

@ cb If you were to move a 16 year old boiler, could you obtain replacement flue parts?
You would be best off going unvented IMO.

Check your incoming main flow rate, TR most people rely on the advice of the installer and only after the job is done do they see if the advice was good.
